THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 3K, as promised, new chapter!!!

Can I get 1 million reads already?!

Kai.

Locking my eyes on his, I was engulfed by his darken orbs. Wisps of gold twirled and danced around a forgotten forest, trapped within their own world.

Holding my gaze with such intensity, I felt hypnotized.

His familiar aroma was clouded with gloom. Infinite darkness emitting from his presence as he stared right through me.

An unusual, strong fervor washed over me as I watched him, his eyes not leaving mine; studying me.

His masculine scent overpowered my nose as hints of menthol flow up my nostrils, instantly calming my nerves.

I took notice of his hooded eyes, sheltering his emotions. Heavy eye bags sulking beneath them.

His eyes continued their gaze down at me. He looked exhausted; drained and weary.

"KAI!" Jasmine rushed over to the door, pushing me out of the way, breaking me from my trance.

Her petite frame wrapped around Kai's strong built as she hugged him tightly around his waist, scared of letting go as though he was going to disappear again.

Taken aback, Kai's eyes widen as he yelps in surprise by Jasmine's sudden gesture.

A small, innocent giggle escaped from her curved lips at his reaction, causing him to smile back at the cheerful sound.

A smile that met his eyes as he starts caressing her back, tangling his fingers in her long, brown hair.

A loving twinkle shone from his eyes in adoration as he looked down at his sister.

An admirable smile plastered on my face as I watched the interaction in front of me.

*SMACK*

Gasping loudly, I threw my hand over my mouth.

Kai stood frozen, his face turned to one side by the sudden impact from Jasmine's slap.

"You fucking dick. I was worried sick! And you just show up like nothing's wrong?"

Jasmine was no longer in Kai's embrace, hands on her hips as she starts scowling him. Anger radiating from her body as her blacken hazel eyes burned in fury.

"What the fuck Jas!" Kai finally turns his face to look down at his sister. His hand bought up to his face, rubbing his sore, redden cheek.

"Oh don't you dare start whining-"

"You just slapped me!"

"Well you deserve it!"

"I'm out." I quickly announced, wiggling my way past their heated bodies blocking the doorframe.

The twins continued their bickering, unaware that I was no longer in their presence as I continued making my way through the hall.

----------------

The hall was unusually quiet this early in the morning. An eerie sense of animosity washed over me as I watched the empty corridor.

Wary of my surroundings, I could feel my blood rushing to my ears as I strained to hear any voices. My sharp eyesight peaking at their optimum level to sight any figures.

I listened to my feet falling onto the concrete floor, the heel of my shoes tapping with each step.

Concentrating, I finally hear a few murmurs and whispers from a distance.

My feet automatically taking me to the direction of the noise as the voices gradually start to increase.

"...and he looked at my direction. I'm telling you, I'm going to be his princess."

Ugh. Amelia.

I rolled my eyes immediately after hearing her sickly sweetened voice.

Her back was towards me as she spoke to others around her. Her long silver hair glistened and twirled as she shook her head in agreement and laughter.

She stood in a corner amongst other vampires, gossiping and chortling loudly; their voices now carried through the halls. The stench of antagonism radiated from their dark souls, their presence filling the corridor.

My eyes followed to the empty classroom past their bodies.

So early.

My tired eyes were now fully awake after seeing Kai, but I could always savor the few minutes of resting my head on the table before class began.

Sighing exasperatedly, I sauntered lazily across the hallway, towards the room.

My hooded eyelids began to slowly close as my feet began sliding on the polished concrete floor.

Blinking away my weariness, my vision turn blurry until my nose once again wafted a revolting smell.

Amelia.

Now fully alerted, I opened my eyes and stood still. Stultified, I looked at her with a bored expression etched on my face.

An devious smirk plastered on her face as her icy eyes gleamed hungrily, resembling a merciless blizzard. The thin wisps of cerulean twirled in her iris, nearly disappearing from view as they turn vehemently ravenous.

"I knew I could smell your foul scent, Cross." She simpered, twirling a lock of hair as it snaked around her lanky finger.

"And I knew I could hear your bitchy voice." I grimaced, folding my arms over my chest.

Her grin quickly morphed into a frown, raising her eyebrows in disbelief.

"How dare you speak to me in that way!" She shrieked.

I scoffed, rolling my eyes at her stupidity.

"You think you're so special because of daddy, that you deserve the best treatment and respect?" I pouted, changing my tone to make it sound like I was babying her.

Her face began to twitch nervously as others began approaching towards our direction. Her eyes trailed around to the different faces and finally upon me.

"At least I got a dad. Here's you hiding behind the headmaster cause you're too scared to get your hands dirty."

"Me? Scared?" My eyes widen amusingly as I began laughing pointing to myself then to her, "You're mistaken."

I walked up to her face, eyes fixated on hers as she began shifting uncomfortably. "Don't think for a second I won't kill you. Because I will. Gladly." I snarled

We stared at each other for what seems like hours. Internally scowling and challenging the other to look away and to back down.

Suddenly an unexpected laughter erupted from her lips. Throwing her head back as she pushes her hair over her ears, she looked straight at me.

Pushing her palm up to her chest, she sneered, "Me?"

At this point, a whole audience was watching our interaction, anticipating and waiting for something more.

"Oh Cross," She shook her head amusingly, a devilish smirk tugging on her lips, "I would like to see you try."

The mumbling around us increased into a tumultuous applause, both vampires and Hunters eager to see a brawl.

Adrenaline coursed through my veins, the rush tingling my fingertips as my heart began thumping enthusiastically. Blood surged to my ears, blocking out the voices around me, my focus set on the beast in front of me.

I stared into her as she did me. Her cold sapphire orbs hardening and darkening, transitioning into fiery rufous.

Her tongue poked out of her cheek, sliding over her pearly teeth and over her pump pink lips; her sharp fangs glistening hungrily.

I reached for my trusty Artemis Rod on my left thigh. Swiftly whirling it in front of me, causing it to extend; then pounding it on floor beside me.

"Let's do it." I beamed.
