012. i saw sparks

RUBY was looking through her closet trying to find someone to wear for her first day with him. "Imma off myself."Ruby mumbled she hasn't been able to find anything and it's already four in the afternoon. she was positive that she will not find anything in the next few minutes either.

alex entered the room groaning lightly before entering the closet and taking out a cottage core high light floral dress, and took out their doc martens giving it to them. "here now go shower and change." alex said pushing her in the bathroom.

"but—" ruby protested.

"go now!"

did I drive you away?

Callahan stood in front of the flower shop looking down at his clothes. He was wearing black jeans, a white shirt, a black hoodie ontop of the shirt and a green jacket. his hair was naturally puffed up and just did it's own thing.

"if you don't keep your head up, you'll miss her." Maggie said patting his back. Callahan quickly lifted his head up only for it to hitch at the back of his throat. Maggie smirked before leaving the pair and watering her plants.

I'll always look out for you.

Ruby walked slowly up to him as he admired her from up and down. every single little thing was breathtaking but he couldn't get enough of it. His eyes lingered on Ruby.

I say "oh"

"eyes are up here." Ruby remarked as she stood in front of him their eyes locking with each other. Ruby's smile softly was fading away as her chocolate brown eyes got lost in his Hazel eyes. Callahan tilted his head to the side looking like a lost puppy as a grin appearing on his lips.

Callahan intertwined their hands together before starting to walk down the street. The streets were quite for once and it was peaceful. the wind blew through through hair as Callahan walked with a hand in his pocket and the other on Ruby's.

he would be lying if he thought that he wasn't nervous because he was beyond nervous. the date he planned wasn't anything fancy or anything big, it was something small. but something inside of his makes him feel like Ruby wouldn't want anything big.

my heart is yours

Ruby felt the pain once more in their chest, in the past 2 days their chest has been hurting more. feeling like someone was stabbing her in the chest, but more in the side of the heart. Ruby ignored it as always not wanting it to ruin the date. she's been repeating to herself that it was simply because she keeps on sleeping on her stomach and might've slept the wrong way.

They rounded the corner entering the park that was at the end of the sidewalk. Callahans nerves slowly were coming down as they grew closer and closer to it.

once they arrived Ruby's eyes widen in surprise. "oh my love." Ruby cooed glancing at everything. It was a blossom tree. The pink pedals were bright as some fell down to the grass.

Right underneath the tree laid a picnic blanket and a picnic basket. Ruby smiled softly and everything. she didn't care if it's small and simple, all she cares is that she'll be with the person who she likes the most and wants to be here with. "Callahan, I love this."

I saw sparks

The pair walked over to the picnic basket and Callahan helped Ruby sit down and brought down her dress as he followed along. For the next few hours they stayed there, Ruby talking to him and him responding back in the notepad. Or Ruby would just stay silent and look at the tree admiring it as Callahan admired Ruby.

He really did wish he could talk to Ruby, be able to have an actually conversation with him, be able to tell her stories even if it was some stupid story of people falling in love. he just wanted to be there with her fully.

Ruby laid on her head on his lap staring out towards the sky. Callahan brought his hand up softly ran his fingers through her hair making her sigh softly loving the touch of him.

just like that, with Callahan and Ruby just being together, felt like the world was complete. all they needed was each-other.

from the beginning, but of course they didn't know that until they met. they never knew how much they needed each other, how much they longed for each other.

they just needs each other. Callahan and Ruby. till the very last breath that they take with each other.
