009. baby frankie
RUBY frowned their eyebrows noticing the plants pedals were tilted down instead of them being up. they looked so sad. Ruby pouted out their lips knowing that they have taken good care of the plants.
"Ruby?" alex mumbled rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand. it was too early and he was sleeping in the living room. ruby turned on all of the lights so it woke him up.
"my plant." Ruby said trying to lift it up so it can show life but instead it went back down.
"are you crying?" alex asked making Ruby nod her head.
"poor, Frankie." Ruby said gently grabbing the plant and holding it as if it were a baby.
"oh you did not just name a plant, Frankie."
"my baby Frankie." Ruby said walking over to alex. "here hold this imma go change and then we are going to revive Frankie." Ruby quickly went to her room and put a hoddie on over her head, she got baggy ripped jeans and put them on. finishing it off with their dirty air forces.
"you want to come with me?" Ruby asked holding back the plant in their arms.
"no, I'll let you and lover boy have your time." alex said making ruby roll their eyes, she grabbed her phone off the counter before walking out of her house. alex was left by himself on her couch while she walked down the street.
After a short walk to the flower shop, that ruby had loved, she pushed open the door and the bell above rang. She saw Maggie siting at the front desk, as pre usual. She smiled at the young girl, and tilted her head to the side,
"Hes in the back." She told Ruby with a soft smile, Ruby breathed out a laugh as her checks flushed a pinkish color
"What if i was here to see you?" She asked the women. maggie scoffed out a laugh and clapped her hands together like as if ruby just told her a funny joke.
"because I know your here for Callahan." Ruby felt her checks burn hotter and hotter. "No go see him. And bedsides, your all hes been talking about today." She told her with a wink, a smile was wiped across
Ruby's face as she walked down the small aisle, once she got to the back room she leaned against the door way while he sat on his phone. He didn't even realize that she was standing there untill she cleared her throat.
She was looking at him with a big grin plastered on her face. Callahan turned off his phone lifting his gaze from the phone up to her as a he matched the grin that was on their lips. "I don't think plants like me." Ruby joked, Callahan let out a big sigh, and pulled out a pad of paper from a drawer in his desk. He wrote something down quickly while she walked farther into the room standing next to the desk where he was siting. She looked over his shoulder, while he taped the end of his pencil on the table, what he had wrote read,
How did you kill them this time?
"I don't know. I took care of them did everything I was suppose to do but then today when I went to go check them they were sad." Ruby said holding the plant in front of her.
Callahan sighed shaking his head writing something down on the notepad.
Ruby that's normal
it's more colder now and the plant isn't sad
it just knows that it isn't spring anymore.
Ruby still felt bad but the guilt left a little after that. "oh. I thought I killed another plant again." She told him with a guilty grin, he smiled sympathetically at the girl before writing something down again.
Its okay don't worry a lot of people think the same thing.
But in the long run its okay because you get to see me again.
She rolled her eyes with a smirk at the ginger, he was so incredibly cocky. "not everything is about you." Ruby said making Callahan lean forward in the desk.
Ruby stood up straight with the plant in front of her glancing down at Callahan who had his head tilted up. Callahan chuckled shaking his head before writing something down.
that's not what I see.
"what exactly do you see?" Ruby asked tilting her head to the side. Callahan smirked before writing something else down.
I see a pretty girl
who always needs attention from me
so she comes to the store
for the smallest reason when she can
simply use Google but instead
come to the shop so that I can help them.
isnt that right, princess?
Ruby stood there frozen in her spot as a dark pink of blush creept onto their cheeks. Callahan's smirk only grew bigger noticing how quite she is. this man was definitely going to kill her.
Callahan nodded his head standing up straight. He ran his hand through his ginger hair before writing something else. it was out of blue but he knew it was the right thing to do. he knew it was what he wanted.
and he could tell she wants too as well.
how about I take you out on a date?
