~Coriander~

"Mr. Stone..." I yell over at the man beside me.

"Please, call me Jeremiah..." he replies with a smile.

"Right, I'm sorry. Jeremiah, are you sure this is what you wanted?"

We can barely hear each other over the sound of the plane. It's engines roar like lions. It's wings cutting through the air and clouds like glass.

"Jeremiah?" There is panic in my voice. Of all things, it had to be heights, again. The parachute strapped onto my back didn't make me feel safe at all.

I look over to see him smiling. His shaggy brown hair blows in the wind. His olive skin glowed in the sun. His eyes screamed determination. He was finally going to fly.

The pilot turns from his seat. He yells over the noise, "Are you ready?! This is your drop off!"

I couldn't tell if I were sweating or crying, but my face felt wet either way. I ask a final time, hoping he would back out.

"Jeremiah! Are you sure you want to do this?!"

All he does is stare at me, still smiling at the world. His crooked yellow teeth don't make it a beautiful smile, not like Amelia's, but it's the joy that it holds that warms my heart.

He laughs loudly, most likely at his killer being afraid of heights.

"Hell yeah!" He screams before jumping out of the plane.

"Oh shit!!" I scream. Without realizing, I ran after him, forgetting I was thousands of feet in the air, and before you know it, I'm in free fall.

I see a tiny Jeremiah figure below me. His arms are outstretched like a bird, wind flying though his hair. I hold on tightly to my parachute bag, closing and opening my eyes, hoping for it to be over.

I feel as if I had been falling for hours. I look to see Jeremiah no longer under me. I turn to see him, waving his hands at me. He pulls his chute, and I do the same.

We both are falling at a slower rate now. Jeremiah screams and celebrates. His state of excitement makes me smile a tad. Before long we land, or crash, onto the corn covered ground. After a few minutes of untangling, we walk to a nearby hill and as we watch the sunset, he speaks.

Jeremiah sighs, "You know, I've never loved someone. Even through every girl that came my way, I never found the one." At first I though he was talking to me, but then soon found out he was talking to the field.

"I'm sorry. To all of those girls and women, I truly am sorry. I regret everything, and I can't repay you all, but deep down I hope you know that."

He turns to me. "I'm ready dude...I'm ready..."

I nod my head and inject the poison. I catch his body and say, "Goodbye my beautiful sin, I shall see you in the stars."

Before I leave, I lay a bouquet of Coriander's, which means lust. I feel guilt inside, as this guys life was all just lust, and no love.

I take out gun, and click off the safety. And as I shoot, crows from the field surrounding us fly in every which way. Jeremiah...you are now free to fly.
