You know those old games you remember playing but you don't know the name? Yeah, so do I. That's how it all started, and I haven't picked up a video game since then.  When I was around ten I played a really interesting survival game. I now know the name,but I'm not going to tell you what it is. I know this sounds cliché but it is for your own good. What I will tell you is it that in the game you search through abandoned villages around a cursed castle or something like that.

I tried so desperately to find that game. I went to websites, gaming forums, retro gaming stores, yard sales, and the like but no dice. Then one day I got an alert email from one of the sites saying "someone has found a game similar to your request." So I contacted the guy turns out to be a thirteen year old girl who had the game she said it was her favorite game and when I asked why she was selling it she said her family needed the money so I bought it. Now I had one more problem my computer had no floppy drive but luckily a buddy of mine had an older computer for his retro gaming addiction so I went there to see if he would let me play my newish game.

When I got there and told him the story he said "sounds like you got trolled dude but go ahead" so I put the disk in the floppy drive and watched in excitement as it loaded up. It took about ten minutes to load but after I was at the title screen looking, waiting, hoping, as I pressed start and my character was there standing in the shadow of a giant castle "just like my game" I thought with glee and happiness. I started to move toward the village and the first house I opened the door and saw a gruesome scene on the screen. My friend and I were shocked on the screen we saw a person with their skin pulled off and on the floor there was no blood it was like they took off their clothes and laid them on the floor. I looked for the first item that was supposed to be in the house but it just got weirder I went up the stairs to go to the bedroom but after 20 minutes of walking upstairs I turn around walked down ten stairs and was on the first floor. I looked around to see if I miss something I didn't but there was something amiss the body was gone. I thought maybe I imagined it or something but the skin was still there I turn to my friend and he asked if this was a zombie game I answered no. The next house was weirder still there was no body no skin and no color or inside there was only the door I came in I went to go out but the door was locked "you need the key go find it". My friend asked if you needed a key the first time you played I said yes but since there was no inside I thought I didn't need it I turned back to try and find the key I the white room but when I did everything was normal the key was where it always was and I left the house. I went outside and the houses were all upside down the doors were at the same spots in the middle of the roof and there were people looking out the widows at my character they weren't upside down they were just looking at me with the widest eyes ever. After that I saved and quit my friend asked me all sorts of questions what kind of game is this where did I get it really did I make it to freak him out or something I said no and I was just as freaked as he was. I decided to go home but when I looked at the clock it was two o'clock in the morning to late to go home now I guess so I asked to stay there he said ok but no playing that game till he can watch and I said fine.

The next day mine friend asked he could play and I said sure if you want to. When he got on there was an NPC looking at him which was really weird as the game had no NCPs until the castle and they were all enemies but there it was. Suddenly text showed up on the bottom of the screen "you are not the same where is player bring back player, NOW!!" my jumped from the chair and said here you go dude they don't like me. I sat down and the text said "welcome back player we want you only" I was freaking but I thought it's a game what's the worst that happen right? Go ahead say it I am an idiot cause you'd be right. So I went to the next house and all was normal until I went upstairs and the skin from the first house went all screamer on me and I almost fell out of my chair. I decided to just go to the castle with no weapons or supplies so I could die and quit and I know what you're thinking "just quit" but I am one of those I'll quit after I win or die gamers so I can't just quit. I went to the castle assuming I would die three seconds in to it only to find there were on enemies on the first or second floors and the enemies on the third fourth and fifth floors all said "we have been waiting for you master".

All I could think was what the as I walked down the castle halls to the throne room to fight the final boss but it was empty except for painting entitled our lord and master the painting was black til I got closer to it then I saw it was me the painting was me. That did it I closed the game no saving no quitting just exiting I got up and told my friend to take the game and he said it was my game it has you in it so I broke it in half I went back to the website that emailed me and all I got was that this site does not exist message you know the one. (Turns out the site was closed due to fraud.) I thought maybe someone stole some information about me and hacked the game to freak me out but that night I had a dream that convinced me otherwise I was back in the castle it was the throne room and there were these demons and monsters all chanting until one of them noticed me and said "you are the one who killed are master you are our new master we need master we need you come with me master" there was no way I was going with that freak so I ran.  I got past the door leading out of the throne room when another demon stopped me " we need a master" it said "and if not here we will go to your world and you can lead us there" it continued. There was no way we could get to the real world so I just booked it when I got out of the castle I woke up a few weeks later I was online and saw a picture the title said "weird unknown creature" I couldn't believe it the pic was one of the demons the same one that said they would come here. How did they get here I thought would they come after me of course they would they think I'm their leader right they need me. After I saw that pic I started seeing those things everywhere at my job, my house, my backyard, at first I thought I was go crazy but my friend said one of those things messed up his car and part of his house I didn't and still don't know what to do they out there waiting, watching, needing me.
