--= Jack's + POV =--

My eyes scanned the room time after time again and I even peered out the window trying to find Mark but he had completely disappeared from my view. I couldn't even sense or hear him. He usually smells like cinnamon or a mix of deep cologne, the type that makes you sleepy and happy since it's not too much but just the right amount.

Nerves bundled up inside of me and when I debated whether or not to just rush out the door and leave, I noticed a flurry of movement in the direction of the front of me. Whipping my head over towards the noises and gasps and movement, my eyes widened to see a boy making his way over to me through the crowd.

Time stood still as soon as he made his way over through the crowd. Finally pushing past the last couple of people and brushing himself off, my heart skipped a beat as it all happened within a second. Our eyes met and my heart leapt as I felt all those nasty thoughts melt away revealing one single voice I wouldn't have heard if it weren't for this clumsy moment. For this clumsy man.

'Hey Jack, d-do you...Hear me?'

'.....Sam?'

'Yup! That's...That's me! You hear me! I'm so happy! Have you been okay?'

'I've been better, but why are you here?'

'He helped you! I believe that maybe he saw me trapped or that something was up and that's why he came over. You should bond with him.'

'But what about Mark? And Felix?'

'Felix doesn't care about you, it's....You know... The other person  inside you whose falling for him.'

'What about Mark?'

'....I don't know.'

'I'm not so certain about this Sammy...'

'Do it for old times sake! I have a good feeling about him if he brought me out! He doesn't look like a bad person, right?'

'I guess so..'

'And if you really are uncomfortable, go see Mark!'

'Okay! Sounds like a plan! Here I go!'

'Good luck!'

The world slammed me in the face. It snuffed all the air out of my chest and I could feel my back slam into the floor along with something heavy on top of me. Eyes shooting straight open nervously, I whipped my attention to the weight on top of me to see none other than the boy who was making his way over to me who I'm assuming had tripped on his way here.

The steady, heavy beat of music and really loud conversations pounded into my ears, but as soon as he spoke up with a smile hiding underneath the boys mask I felt my heart flutter as the noise died down.

"Sorry."

"Oh it's..It's okay! I'm usually the same. I probably would have tripped if I began moving." I chuckled nervously. Heat pressed underneath my face, swarming around and lingering. It was soon elevating itself when I peeked upwards at the boy to see him with a wide smile on his face showing his pearly white teeth.

"Well, at least I tripped on someone nice and polite. My name is Cry."

"Jack." I grinned. Cry's face beaming behind the mask of his, he slowly got off of me, making sure to be careful since he didn't want to hurt me, and offered his hand to help me up. Stomach doubling over, I slipped my hands into his and found a giggle making it's way out of my mouth once he pulled me up causing me to bounce onto my feet.

"Thank you."

"It's the least I can do! But, I've never seen you around before. Who invited you?" Cry's question radiating through my ears, he cocked his head to the side clearly curious to know, but I had a feeling he was just checking to see if his answer was correct.

"Felix."

"Figures. Did you bring anybody with you? Anyone to accompany you?"

"Mark but he saw his friends and, ya know." Trailing off, I glanced over at Cry to see him nodding clearly interested. Silence shared between the two of us, discomfort gnawing away at the very back corner of my mind, it was instantly wiped away into desperation when he began to speak.

"I guess I have you all to myself then right? Alright, I'll be your partner for this party. How does that sound?" I posed my chin upwards for a few seconds, hesitance keeping me from accepting the invitation. But...As soon as I saw the yearning, happy look on his face it all melted away and a smile found it's way onto my lips as I answered.

"Perfect." Weights rose off my shoulders, and all negativity that was clinging to my skin vanished and faded away into the air. Sam hid away in my mind, still there watching, but more as a guard in case something went wrong more than anything else. He let me have control of the situation.

I was fully aware, I was fully free. Freedom was mine! No chains, no binds, no tasks, no thoughts. Free. I didn't need the Flip Side for this bliss. This...Grace. Was on an entirely different level. As if all my dreams had melted into one and succeeded in gaining victory. If only Mark could see me now. If only Felix could see me now.

If only my parents could see me now.....
