"....Why do you care about my eye so much?" He asked. I could hear the shakiness and hesitance that thickened his usually high pitched voice, it made the accent he had clearer. Humming a response, I could see the distress rising inside of Jack's expression as he broke eye contact to stare blankly at his hands.

"Because your eye is attached to your face and I care about every single inch of you." Jack's body tensed when the words left my mouth, and I swear I saw the colour in his cheeks redden but as soon as I saw that it was already gone and Jack had a straight, worried face on just like before.

"....Fine. What do you want to know?" My stomach dropped, my eyes widened and the stupidest smile I had probably ever worn had glued itself onto my face. Slapping a hand onto Jack's shoulder and squeezing tightly, Jack gasped slightly but quickly recovered his posture except with rosier cheeks.

"Everything! I can't believe you trust me enough."

"Yeah, well, don't get used to it." Jack chuckled. Trying to wipe away the humongous smile on my face, it didn't work at all. So I just ended up scooching closer to Jack so we were inches apart. A sigh escaping Jack's lips, he closed his eyes and a puff of a laugh ran out of his lips brushing against my face before he started to talk.

"I don't belong to any family anymore. I belong to the government, they decide what to do with me and they write it down into scientific files and research." Waiting for it to sink in, I peeked one eye open to check on Mark but he still had that stupid look on his face so I had to continue knowing he was too dense to get it.

"You're such an idiot Mark." I laughed. Mark's eyebrows knitting together, he opened his mouth to object or possibly what I could assume was a question but as soon as I raised my hand to stop him he went silent.

"Let's put it very bluntly in the topic of experimentations." Cocking an eyebrow at Mark to see if he had got it, I quickly saw his face pale in horror as he gawked at me. Raising a hand slowly towards me, I found myself flinching back but he just kept reaching until it slipped it's way onto the side of my face.

"A-Are you okay!?" Mark asked. His voice hushed and horrified, I nodded once and turned to look away from him. Keeping my eyes closed I could already see every single thing I was hoping to forget actually happened or even existed and one of the things I hated the most, myself.

Flashes rushed inside of my head, and I cringed, trying to form the words but the memories spilled out all across my head almost as if I had spilled water on a table. It all collected and soaked up similar to a sponge. The screams still rang inside of my head, and the oh so clear image of the doctor squeezing the trigger of the green filled syringe.

"Jack?" He pushed on. Snapping my head in the direction of Mark's voice, I could see fear twinge inside of his eyes and he quickly covered it up with hesitance.

"The green eye is a different personality, a booster if you will. Radioactivity, toxic substances, possession? They light up when my emotions are too high or I get into danger or something like that. I honestly don't know what it is.

All I want is to just go to the other side because over there I can actually be free. Over there, I don't have to deal with voices or loss of control or one day waking up to realise you'd done it again and killed a guard."

I paused and carefully turned to see if Mark was doing okay, but if anything he urged me on to continue and began to stroke his thumb across my cheek. Forcing a smile, I coughed clearing my throat and continued to explain.

"Don't get me wrong, it has it's perks, but the bad things weigh way more consequences than the good and.........." Green simmering on the sides of my vision, I contorted my face trying to hide the colour from Mark and sucked in a deep breath. Shaking my head left to right gently telling him through gestures I couldn't say it.

"And?..... Go on Jack, you can tell me anything."

'Oh ho? What's this? Not telling your boyfriend about the most important detail?'

'What are you a carton of milk? You can talk, grow some balls and suck it up buttercup you can't hide the fact unless you die in quiet.'

"Jack."

--=Mark's + POV =--

He almost jumped right off the bed when I snapped him out of his thoughts. Jack's heart was pumping so fast it looked like it was trying to rip itself out of his chest. A bead of sweat poured down the left side of his face, and his right eye switched to a light greenish colour.

What the hell did they even do to him?

Softening my gaze realising I must have seemed as if I was scolding him, Jack's face instantly broke and that small figure, filled with exhaustion finally won him over and he just rammed his face into my chest giving up on talking. A groan escaping his lips, heat rushed into my face as I placed a hand on the back of his head.

"I..............Fuck." He laughed. His voice shook so much it sounded like Jack was on the verge of crying. A lime flash of green caught my eye, and I turned to see his eye glowing such a bright green it could have been mistaken as a Christmas. Jack continued trying, but every time he opened his mouth he would cringe as his eye flashed brighter and brighter.

"Jack..." I tried. But he wasn't even listening at this point. Jack backing up away from me and accidentally falling off of the bed. I dashed over to the edge of the bed to see him with his hands covering his face as he arched his back in pain.

"FOCK!" Jack giggled. Curling into a ball, the floor reflected the green coming off of his eye and I watched from the mattress on the bed. Slipping quietly onto the floor, putting a toe on the floor and sliding myself down with ease. I crouched down so I was kneeling in front of him.

Placing a hand on Jack's shoulder, before I could even open my mouth he whipped his head in my direction and I saw two tear streams pour like heavy rain down his face as both his eyes were completely lapped up in green. There wasn't even a single inch of white.

"I'm going to die Mark!"
