Chapter 10
Wow, I've been doing a lot of notes now. Umm.....Just a warning. I gave the book a reason to be mature in this chapter <3 Have fun with it and try not to vomit :3
============================================================
"Felix you are not going to believe the luck I had!" Jack purring and laughing softly, I pushed a finger to his lips but he merely shoved me off and started rolling back and forth on my lap.
"I probably won't and I don't right now either."
Trying to concentrate on Jack, my lips tugged into a frown as I put on my whine voice and made sure Jack knew I was joking. Flashing Jack a wink, he nodded exasperatedly like a kid who was told a very important secret he needed to keep.
"But you don't even know what it is yet!" Clicking the speaker button, I smirked at Jack but it instantly fell and my stomach twisted to hear Felix's harsh response. I knew it was a joke, but ouch man!
"I don't care, I just know if it has anything to do with you I will not believe it."
Jack's face falling into one I wasn't sure what the main emotion was. It instantly ticked into anger. Jack's eyes lighting up like blue flames he shoved himself up so he was sitting on my lap and grabbed my wrist with a death grip, pulling the phone close to him so he could shout and probably break Felix's eardrums.
"MARK IS A GOOD MAN! DON'T DISRESPECT HIM OR I'LL GIVE PEOPLE A REASON TO ENDURE ME IN TORTURE LIKE THEY DO!"
"Jack please." I stumbled. Heat swelling up inside of my face, I tried to take the phone back towards me hoping he would listen but Jack instantly brought it back to him without much effort. He definitely doesn't look like it, but this kid's strong.
"NO" Jack scrunching his eyes shut as he adjusted himself so he wasn't skidding against me and had stiffer ground, my eyes widened to see how much force he was actually holding back so as not to hurt me.
"J-Jack let go of the phone!"
"MY PHONE!" Jack shrieked. Finally getting the phone out of my grasp I watched as he flew backwards when I let go and he crashed onto the coffee table. Papers flying everywhere along with a few cups and glass shattering once coming into contact with the ground, I darted my eyes to Jack to see him with a blank expression on his face.
"..........." Slowly bringing the phone up to his ear, he smiled a small bit and started talking into the phone, looking like he had no idea what he was doing which just made it a thousand times more adorable for me.
"Felix? F Bomb?"
Slapping a hand onto my mouth trying to stop the laughter that was going to erupt loudly across the room if I didn't mute it, I could hear the sounds of sputtering and gasping along with some Swedish swear words I couldn't comprehend. Due to the surprised look on Jack's face, I think he understood it.
"PFFFFT! AHHH! YOU MADE ME SPIT OUT MY COFFEE DUDE!" Picturing Felix standing up his arms raised out into a T on either side of him, I couldn't take it anymore and my laughs started rolling through the room which earned a giggle of triumph to emit from Jack's mouth.
"HAHA! YOU'RE ALIVE!"
"WHO EVEN ARE YOU ANYWAYS?!" Felix gasped. His lungs collapsing from laughing so hard, I scrunched my eyes shut as I tried containing myself only to realize it wasn't going to work which made me just laugh even harder.
"THE NAME'S JACK!" Jack introduced. Chuckles dying down, I stared at Jack warmly to see he had an excited and happy smirk beaming across his face as he talked to Felix. And to think this is only the first friend to meet him.
"WELL JACK, GUESS WHAT?!"
"WHAT?!"Jack exclaimed. His left hand sprawling out onto the coffee table he swung his legs back and forth causing my heart to leap in my throat every time his feet just barely missed the glass that was ready to stab him on the floor. His right hand gripping the phone and putting it to his ear like he was talking to one of his dearest family members, I would give anything to see that look on his face all the time.
"MARK WAS RIGHT, I DON'T BELIEVE WHAT HE JUST TOLD ME! HE GOT ME A BRAND NEW BEST FRIEND!"
"HEY!" I called out. Trying to put my word into it, Jack's loud voice instantly cut me off as he continued screaming into Felix's phone. Felix was yelling just as loud though. Laughing a tiny bit as I watched him from the couch, a sense of loneliness started to creep up on me.
"REALLY?!?! WHO!!" Jack continued. Trying to distract myself from the feeling, I focused on the one thing about Jack that could make anybody's day better. His eyes and his smile. Jack's eyes were a gentle green, like sleepy leaves before they change colours for autumn.
"YOU!!!"
"OH YAY!!!"
"Noooooo!" I screamed. Something tinging inside of me, I tried to stand up but Jack looked at me with a weird face and I instantly sat back down confused. I swear his eyes weren't as green as summer grass....They were just a calmer shade... Something feeling wrong, I just waited for Jack to get off the phone not even listening to the conversation anymore.
"So you wanna hang out sometime? With Mark of course." Felix added. Tuning in when they called my name, I propped my head up to see Jack scrunching his face up in pain before letting out a sigh and smiling, answering Felix with what seemed like a forced answer.
"Love to! Bye Bye Felix!"
"Bye Bye Jack."
Jack clicking the end of the call button he tossed me the phone and stood himself up. Stiffening where he was, I raised an eyebrow at him but he immediately relaxed and walked off into the bathroom. Slamming the door shut behind him, I glanced down where he stepped and I felt my stomach curdle to see the glass covered in blood.
Oh shit.
Jack's screams erupting through the house, goosebumps crawled onto my skin as I jumped to hear him in agony. The blood heavy as he walked into the bathroom, I rushed over to the bathroom and knocked on the door.
"Jack open the door."
"Maerk I really am fine doing this on my own." Jack muttered through the door. Sounding like he was sitting in front of the door as he plucked out the glass, I flinched to hear something slam into the door followed by a bunch of cursing.
"No Jack I need to help you what if you miss some glass?!" I propped on.
Trying to click the door open by the doorknob, I could hear Jack shuffle so he was blocking the door even more than he was. Blood oozing from underneath the door, I panicked and started to ram into the door as Jack started talking.
"Ye don't get it do ye? Look, I'm good with doing this on me own, I don't want to be rude and please don't take this to heart Maerk but when I get hurt I'm just used to fixing things on my own."
"It probably wasn't glass though was it?" I countered.
"......"
"Do you even know how to get the glass out of your foot?!"
"......."
"Fuck it I'm going to get the first aid kit." Rushing away from the bathroom door I heard Jack shouting protests when he suddenly stopped almost like he realized something. Waiting to see if he was going to continued, shivers shot up my back when he screeched at me.
"WHY DON'T YE HAVE IT IN THE BATHROOM."
"NOT EVERYONE IS IRISH JACK!!" I laughed. Hearing the humour slowly etch through Jack's voice and lacing it with pain, I grabbed a knife from the Kitchen along with tweezers and gauze and swiped the knife into the lock where the key was.
Popping my head through the door, I gagged as the scent of iron overwhelmed me and I peeked down to see a mini mountain of bloody glass sitting beside Jack. Narrowing my eyes at him, I tried my hardest to keep a straight face but another wave of iron flushed into my nose and I crumpled onto the ground next to Jack.
"OH FUCK OFF!!"
"I'm just here to help. I want to make sure you got it all out. Lift your foot." Jack looking skeptically at me almost as if I was going to chop them off, I extended my hand and gently wrapped it around Jack's foot pulling it up so I could see the damage that was done.
"I'm going to be sick."
"TOLD YE!" Not even wanting to go into detail about it, I cringed as I tried looking for anything that glimmered inside of the lighting. Blood covering everything, I sighed as I pushed where there were cuts.
Pieces all tumbling out onto the floor like candies, I gaped as they just seemed to continue non stop. It was like his whole fucking foot was made of glass! Cringing as he let out a whimper, my heart tugged as I continued trying to act like I was doing okay. Or at least, better than he was.
Jack stared at me, worry etched into his features the longer he looked at me I sighed as the splatting of the glass toppling onto the ground continued the more I put pressure onto the different slits opened.
Tugging on the final piece, Jack slammed the back of his head onto the wall as I ripped it out and it shattered onto the floor. Jack hissing as he crumpled over himself, his fingers clenching his fists tightly like they had a mind of their own, Jack kept his head down and continued writhing around.
"Son of a bitch...." Jack moaned. Tilting his head back up I froze to see his left eye a radioactive green before he blinked and it instantly went away.
What the....
