Help Part 7

Hey guys so I got back from vacation a week ago and I was able to get a new compute (since my was really old and ran like shit) so hopefully this will make updating SOOOOO much easier (because that would always take me like 20 minutes or more to post a pre-written part) Anyways I hope you guys like this :)

Cisco gasped for a breath once he was done vibing and placed a hand over his heart. Barry stepped into the room towards him.

"What'd you see, Cisco?" He asked.

"Zoom and your friend," He said gesturing over to me, I cut in just realizing I never gave them her name.

"Alex, her name's Alex." Everyone looked at me as I said it.

"I saw Zoom and Alex again. I was able to get more of a look at the scenery this time, it was more in focus." He stated and looked towards the floor concentrating.

"Do you know where they are?" I asked hopefully.

"Not exactly but I've got a pretty good idea. I saw a bunch of plants around and racks of pots and stuff like that. He's keeping her in a green house!"

"He wants me there..." I whispered, mainly to myself but the others heard, coming to the same conclusion as me.

"Another thing too, she looked directly at me towards the end of my vibe, and not like she was looking off into space either, directly at me. She knew I could see her." Cisco said kind of weirded out but looked at me for an answer.

"She could sense that you were there. Alex has the ability to detect other meta-humans around her and even though you weren't physically there, you were mentally and that allowed her to be able to see you." I explained.

"I'll get to work on locating all of the green houses in and around Central City and hacking into their security cameras." Cisco said before he rushed out to the computers, Barry followed after him to help.

Caitlyn then walked over and began to explain her findings. "So what I discovered is that your cells undergo both photosynthesis and cellular respiration at the same time. Also your cells contain chloroplasts, like plant cells."

"So... I'm like basically half plant?" I asked interjecting.

"Yes, exactly. That also means you have plant like abilities, like regeneration and you will be able to handle over doses of electricity that a normal human body cannot handle. So for example, if you get hit by a lightning strike. The only thing that may hurt you is the heat not the electricity." She finished explaining.

"Alright, got it. Thanks Caitlyn." I said and smiled. She returned the smile and we walked out into the main part of the cortex.

"We've got a location. It's the only greenhouse just outside Central City that is currently showing heat signatures inside." Cisco said, not moving his eyes from the computer.

"Give me coordinates and I'll run over there." Barry said as he pulled the mask over his face.

"I'm going with you." I and stepped towards them.

"No, Kat. It's too dangerous. I'm not gonna let you get killed."

"But Zoom wants me there-"

"And that's exactly why you shouldn't go," Cisco said as he looked at me still sitting behind the computer, "Barry is right."

"Plus we also don't know how to stop Zoom or get Alex out of there." Caitlyn interjected.

"Then why is he going in the first place!?" I nearly shouted at them and they all looked alarmed.

I sighed and closed my eyes for a second, "Look, I'm sorry, but she's my best friend. I need to help you save her because if something goes wrong and you both don't make it back I will never forgive myself. And as Caitlyn said you don't know how you're going to do this, so why don't you let me help you and we can do this together... as a team..."

"Ms. Allison makes a very convincing and valid point." Dr. Wells stated leaning against a doorpost.

"So you're saying just to let her go with me!?" Barry asked, shocked and angry. "You know I can't do that, I can't put her life in danger. ESPECIALLY against Zoom!"

"Barry, you've seen what she can do! Hell she's going to be surrounded by her element. I'm sure she's very capable of handling herself."

"I see you have a problem with putting me in danger, but I know what I'm up against and I know the consequences if something goes wrong, but I am willing to risk it if it means saving her. You should know that, as a hero, saving family and friends comes first." I ranted once again.

Cisco and Caitlyn's faces were still on the side of the argument of not letting me go, Dr. Wells stood his ground with an expression that said I should go, Barry took a few seconds on the fence before he decided.

"Alright, fine. But the second something goes wrong I am speeding you out of there, whether we have Alex or not." He said making himself very clear on the conditions.

"Good thing, I'll be sure that won't happen."

"What are the coordinates?" Barry asked turning to Cisco, still not happy I'm going.

"755 Wayward Avenue on the north side of Central City just outside the city. Run Barry, run!"
