Reader's pov:

I nod and sit back down. I stroke Ares' head, who had fallen asleep.

"Is that your son?" Barry asked.

I nodded. "I always knew you'd be great mother"

I placed my hand on my racing heart. No no no no! I'm still in love with this man?!

Just then the team came in and I realized how much I missed them as we exchanged hugs and talks.

Caitlin squealed as she looked at ares. "He's your son?"

I nod. "Who's the father?"

I freeze at the question. I felt grateful as Cisco interrupted. "He's waking up!"

Everyone quieted down. He woke up looking half asleep. I hug him. "How was your sleep pumpkin?"

"It was good mama" "Who are these people?"

"These are your uncles and aunties"

He jumped from my arms and ran to hug each of them.

Iris herself gazed at him intently, but made no move to do anything. She smiled a bit as she hugged him back.

"He's so cute!" Iris said, as she pinched his cheek.

After a bit of catching up, everyone began leaving.

I was going to when Iris pulled me aside.

"He's Barry's son isn't he?"

I confirmed it knowing she'd know if I lie.

"Y/n I know what you're thinking" "Me and Barry just didn't work out, but I want him to be happy" "you ate perfect!"

"I'm not mad and Barry deserves to know"

I look up at Iris. "I know but it's so hard"

"I know it is" she said, hugging me.

With that she left.

Barry did as well after hugging me.

I'm walking with my son on our way to our apartment. I laugh as he skipped ahead.

Hold on somethings wrong, there's noise. There's no one here! My worry was confirmed when I saw a blur run past me with lightening speed and headed towards Ares.

I willed my legs to move and I managed to push him out of the way. "Run Ares run!"

"M-Mum what's happening?!" "I'll save you!"

"No just run!" I shouted as the yellow blur began surrounding me and going in circles. I watch as my son runs away.

"I guess this is it..."

I saw the blur reach out it's hard towards my heart with a growl and I close my eyes.

But it never came. I slowly opened my eyes. "Oh my gosh you're the flash!"

"Thankyou so much for saving me!" "Wait where's my son?!"

"It's ok" "He's right here" the flash said pointing below his feet.

" I steadily get to my feet with his help. "I thought i was going to die" "You know this near death experience reminds me of a friend-"

"Barry" "He's also the guy you're in love with"

I look up at him. "Wait how'd you know?!"

"Because..." he said removing his mask. "I am him" "I overheard your conversation with Iris"

I gasped and froze. I struggled as I tried to escape his grasp. "Stop it y/n!" "Look at me!" He shouted as he grabbed my shoulder, before tilting up my chin.

"Why didn't you tell me about our son?!"

At his angry voice I started sobbing. "I-I'm sorry" "it's just you were so in love with Iris and whenever I did we were always interrupted"

" I didn't think I deserved you" "Your voice, warmth, kindness" "Your laugh and your handsome face"

"Oh my gosh y/n...."

He held my face and leaned in to kiss me, but hesitates. "Can I kiss you?"

I nod, feeling relieved he now knew. I'm feeling the happiest I've been in a while.

The kiss was long and passionate. We broke apart when we heard Ares waking up.

He ran to me and hugged me. "Mama are you ok?!"

"Yes sweety, I want you to meet someone" "Dada!"

"My dad?!"

"Yes"

Ares started playing with his fingers nervously, as he hid behind me. I gently pushed him forward.

"H-Hi dada"

Barry knelt down smiling and locked him up. They both laughed looking like each other, except Ares' eyes were my color. And his hair was my curly (color) hair.

"Hi little guy!"

"Wowie my dad's the flash!"

Both of us laughed.

"Yes I am Ares"
