Somewhere outside of Orario, Bell was currently watching Hestia asleep and after a few minutes, she finally stir awake.

Bell: Are you awake, Goddess?

Hestia: Bell?

Bell: How are you feeling? Are you hurt anywhere?

Hestia: I'm not hurt, but my head feels like it's full of fuzz.

Bell then touched her forehead and it's hot.

Bell: You still have a fever. I'll pour you some water.

Bell then pour some water at a glass and Hestia sit up and looked confused to where they are.

Hestia: Bell, where are we?

Bell: The mayor's house in a mountain village. After we fall at the ravine, you passed out and Sora brought us to this village, and it seems the villagers here knows him.

Hestia: Sora sure knows a lot of people. Where are they?

Bell: The three of them are looking around outside the village. Sora says Lord Ares's army may still be nearby.

Hestia: I'm sorry, Bell. This is all my fault.

Suddenly, someone knock the room and enter and it was an old man around 90 years old along with his daughter.

???: How is the Goddess?

Bell: Oh, Mr Karm. She just woke up.

The man named Karm smile at them.

Karm: That's wonderful to hear.

Karm then take a good look at Hestia and his eyes widened as he was reminded about something.

Hestia: You're the mayor, huh? Thanks for the help.

Karm: No, it's nothing... This village owes Sora a huge debt. And Sora is someone I knew a long time ago.

Hestia: I'm sorry, but I'd like to stay here a little longer. Is that okay?

Karm: Of course. Treat this home as your own. My daughter Rina will be at your beck and call.

Hestia: Thanks, that's a huge help!

(Timeskip)

Hestia was currently fast asleep and Bell left the room and saw that Sora, Aiz, and Asuna had finally returned.

Bell: Welcome back.

Sora: Is Goddess doing alright?

Bell then handed the three of them some towel to wipe out their sweats due to rain.

Bell: She woke up, but then went back to sleep. So what did you guys find?

Asuna: No sign of Rakia's forces or Asfi. Just signs that they fought.

Bell: Did they retreat?

Aiz: I don't know. But it's best to stay here a little longer.

Aiz then swing her hair and Bell started blushing and his face was completely red.

Bell: L-Let's stay here a little longer, then.

Aiz: Okay.

Sora: Sorry guys, I would like to visit Karm for awhile.

Sora then visited Karm's room and knocked on his door, but suddenly heard a coughing inside and Sora panicked and head inside to see Karm holding his chest in pain.

Sora: Uncle Karm! Are you alright?

Sora hurried up and went to his side, and suddenly Rina also entered the room in a panicked.

Rina: Father, are you okay?

Karm: Thank you. I'm fine.

Sora: Don't force yourself!

Karm just smile at them and he patted Rina's head.

Karm: I'm happy to have such kind daughter and a wonderful friend such as yourself. Now get some rest, Rina. I would like to speak with Sora for awhile. And tomorrow, I'll need you to help the Goddess again.

Rina: Yes... Goodnight.

Rina wiped out her tears and left the room and Karm looked at Sora and saw that he had a worried look.

Sora: How's your condition?

Karm: It's getting worst... My time is almost up...

Sora looked down saddened and had multiple tears on his eyes and Karm just patted his head and smile at him.

Karm: Come on.... Don't cry. I'm glad that you could visit. I haven't see you in 7 years and you're still the crybaby Sora I know.

Sora: Now's not the time to be joking around...

Karm: I'm sorry... Is she doing alright?

Sora: Yes... she's doing great. You and her were once apart of the same Familia. But after that incident... You...

Karm: It's alright... I'm glad I could see you again after this. Now go get some rest.

Sora nodded his head and left the room while still having some tears on his eyes.

(Timeskip)

It was morning and Hestia had finally woken up and was being spoon feed by Bell.

Hestia: I'm really sorry, Bell.

Bell: Please don't say that.

Hestia: Where is Sora?

Bell: He's currently outside helping some of the villagers.

Hestia: This is a great village, huh?

Bell: Yes, everyone is warm and kind.

Suddenly they heard a knock from the window and saw some of the children smiling and waving at them and they wave back at them, and Rina came in the room with more drink.

Rina: How about some tea?

Bell: Thank you.

Rina: There's a festival in the village tonight to pray for the good harvests. The rain's finally stopped, so everyone is excited.

Bell: I see!

Rina then handed the tea towards them and they accepted it.

Hestia: By the way, Ms Rina. How do you know, Sora?

Rina: This village once was attacked by monsters. A lot of burning village and crying kids. We thought that it was the end for us, but Sora suddenly came rushing in and save us all. To us, Sora here is a Hero.

Bell: A Hero, huh?

Rina: Yes... And after that, he stayed here for over a month, helping us rebuild our village and helped us get food supplies so we could survive here. That's why we're forever grateful to him.

Bell: That is so like him.

Hestia: Bell, why not help with the preparation for the festival?

Bell: but will you be okay, Goddess?

Hestia: The Hestia Familia has to do something to repay the people who've helped us so much. Go and help them, Bell.

Bell: Okay, off I go.

Bell then left the room and saw Aiz had left the room as well and he saw that Aiz was wearing some of the Villagers shirts.

Aiz: Good morning.

Bell: G-Good morning.

Aiz: They said I'd look good in this. Sora and Asuna told me that I look gorgeous. Does it look weird?

Bell just looked away embarrassed.

Bell: No, you look great. Where is Miss Asuna?

Aiz: She left awhile ago, and went to hang out with Sora. Are you going somewhere?

Bell: Yes, I'm going to help with the village festival.

Aiz then looked at Bell confused.

Aiz: Festival?

(Timeskip)

Bell was currently helping some villagers for their festival preparation, and he was carrying a wooden log, and saw Sora playing with some villagers kids.

Villager: Sorry to ask a visitor for help like this.

Bell: It's fine. You've done a lot for us. Sora sure is popular here with the kids.

Bell saw Sora playing with kids as Hero and monsters and they were all having the time of their life.

Villager: We're the one that owes him. If it wasn't for him, I would have died a long time ago.

Bell and the Villager then saw Aiz and Asuna were also playing with some kids and they smile at them as well.

Villager: They're sure pretty, though. Are all the girls in Orario pretty like that?

Bell: Um... they all have their own charm.

After Bell was done helping the villagers, he and Sora were taking a walk.

Sora: So hows the village?

Bell: It's feels nice. It's kind and heartwarming. I can't believe that you lived here for over a month.

Sora: Well I need to save it. Or else everyone might died.

As they were walking, the two of them stumble a black stone and Sora stare at it with a conflicted look.

Sora:...

Bell: Is this...

Villager: It's a scale from the Black Dragon.

Bell: The Black Dragon?

Bell then remembered about the Black Dragon that Sora told him after he met up with Hermes, about the Three Great Quests and the Black Dragon.

Bell: This is a scale from the Black Dragon?

Villager 1: Yes. A long time ago, when it was driven from Orario by the Worlds Hero and fled north, scales fell from its body onto this village. Big one, little ones... There are 10 in all.

Bell: Worlds Hero? The one that managed to drove away the Black Dragon all by himself?

Sora:...

Villager 2: Yes. And It's thank to these scales that the village isn't attacked by monsters anymore.

Bell: What do you mean?

Villager 1: Most monsters are too scared of the Black Dragon's scale to come any closer.

Villager 2: It's thanks to these that we can live in peace. It's strange to worship a monster, though, I think.

Villager 1: But it's not the Gods or adventures that keeps us safe. It's these scales.

Sora(mind): The monster that wiped out mine and Asuna's Familia. The Dragon that might destroy the world protect this village.

Villager 2: But if the Black Dragon is ever defeated, what will we do then?

Villager 1: We'll probably still worship them, I think.

The villagers then left both Sora and Bell, and Bell saw that Aiz and Asuna were also looking at the scales of the Black Dragon, and Aiz had a serious look while Asuna looked conflicted just as Sora.

Bell: Miss Aiz? Miss Asuna? They're kind of like a God, huh?

Sora:...

Aiz and Asuna: These things are no God.

Aiz and Asuna said it with an angry voice and Bell looked at them confused and Sora just stare at them.

Sora:...

Aiz: Let's head back, you two.

Bell R-Right...

Bell, Aiz, and Asuna then started heading back to the village and Sora just stare at Aiz and Asuna and clinched his hand tightly and sighed.

Sora: Oh man...

(Timeskip)

Bell and Sora then headed back to the Mayor's house and went towards Hestia's room, only to see Karm inside.

Sora: Uncle Karm? Is something wrong?

Karm: Oh, it's nothing... and Bell... Can you spare some time for an old man?

Bell looked confused looked at Sora and Sora just smiled at him and nodded his head. Bell then went inside Karm's room and the two of them seat on the bed.

Karm: Bell, you truly revere your Goddess, don't you?

Bell: Yes, of course. She took me in when I had nowhere to go.

Karm smile at him and handed him an emblem.

Karm: Bell, do you know what this is?

Bell: Is it the emblem of a Familia?

Karm: Yes. I was once the child of a certain Goddess. The Brigid Familia.

Bell then looked at Karm surprised.

Bell: Brigid Familia? The Familia that Rin was once apart of!

Karm: Yes. Me and Rin, along with Muller used to be apart of the same Familia. I revered her, and she loved me. We swore our loves to one another... But we... I couldn't protect her. It was quest that our Familia was in. And there was a storm going on and me and my Goddess got separated from the others. And... she was killed by a monster. She saved me, and miraculously, I survived. She returned to Heaven. We were all heart broken, and I thought of following her so may times. But I couldn't abandon the life she gave me. So I left Azbaya and arrived at this village, and spent the rest of my life without taking a wife.

Bell: Then Rina...

Karm: Is adopted. An orphan from the village. Rina is what kept me going. And by meeting Sora... He helped me find my peace. But...

Karm started coughing again and hold his chest.

Bell: Mr Karm! Are you okay? Should I get Ms Rina?

Karm: No need to worry. I know my own body best of all. Bell, please take care of her... of your Goddess...

Bell: Mr Karm!

Karm: You may ignore what I say as the foolish words of a dying man. But you must not have regrets, like I do.

(Timeskip)

Hestia finally stir awake and saw Sora sitting next to her asleep as he was holding his hand.

Hestia: Sora?

Sora continued to stay asleep next to her and she just smile and rubbed his head and he smile in his sleep and he mutter a few words.

Sora: Please be okay... Goddess.

Hestia smile at him and continued to rub his head.

Hestia: You're always taking care of us, huh? But you shouldn't overwork yourself as well. Thank you... I love you so much...

Suddenly, she heard a knock and saw Aiz and Asuna walking in and she looked at them surprised.

Hestia: WallenWhatsit?! AsuWhatsit?! What do you want?

Aiz: We brought you dinner.

Hestia: You two? Where's Bell?

Asuna: He said he's talking to the mayor. And how could Sora stay asleep like that?

Hestia: Wallenwhatsit... Asuwhatsit... I haven't thanked both of you for saving me, have I? I really appreciate it.

Aiz: It was nothing.

Asuna: I'm just glad your feeling better.

Hestia then cough a bit to gain their attention.

Hestia: So, getting to the point... What do you think about my Bell, Wallenwhatsit? And how do you feel about my Sora, Asuwhatsit?

Asuna just blushed and looked away and Aiz looked confused.

Aiz: What do I think?

Hestia: Well, you must think something about them!

Aiz then thought for a moment and spoke up.

Aiz: He's... a rabbit? And Sora... I feel like, that he is a long lost older brother.

Hestia: An older brother? You have a brother?

Aiz just shook her head denying it and Hestia looked at Asuna.

Hestia: What about you, Asuwhatsit?

Asuna: I feel like that Bell is like someone I know, when I'm still apart of the Hera Familia. As for Sora I...

Asuna then had a blushed on her face and couldn't bring her voice out.

Asuna: I... I... I LOVE HIM!!!

Asuna muster her courage to speak and told Hestia how she really feels about him and Hestia just sighed.

Hestia: I knew it...

Asuna: Me and Sora have known each other almost our whole life. We used to hang out together when we were kids.

Hestia saw that Asuna had a smile on her face and Hestia just sighed.

Hestia: Fine...

Asuna: Eh...?

Hestia: I will let you go out with him. Given that ring and all.

Hestia said while looking at the ring that Asuna is wearing on her left hand and Asuna smile at her.

Asuna: Thank you...

Hestia: But!! Don't you dare act so lovey dovey every time you guys meet! And don't spoil them too much! That goes for you too, Wallenwhatsit!

Aiz and Asuna: Okay...

(Timeskip)

It was nighttime and the start of the Harvest Festival, Sora, Bell, Hestia, Aiz, and Asuna were out joining and both Sora and Asuna were holding hands with one another.

Hestia: Festival are fun, huh?

Some villagers than walked in towards them.

Villager 1: Are you feeling alright?

Hestia: Yes, I'm feeling great. It's the Big Festival today, right? I don't want to miss it.

Some of the Villagers cheered for Hestia's recovery and they all started dancing with one another.

Hestia: The Harvest dance?

Villager 2: It's not really a rule or anything, but when an unmarried guy asks you to dance, it means he likes you.

Villager 1: And if the girl accepts, the two become lovers!

Hestia: Lovers, huh?

Hestia said while looking at Bell with a smirk on her face.

Villager 1: How about you dance too, Sora?

Sora: Eh...?

Villagers 2: We want the Village Hero to dance right in the center of the bond fire!

The villagers started cheering and Sora looked at them surprised and smile at them.

Sora: Alright then...

Sora then looked at Asuna and raised his hand.

Sora: May I please have this dance with you, Asuna?

Asuna smile at him and grabbed his hand.

Asuna: With pleasure...

Both Sora and Asuna then started dancing in the middle of the camp fire and everyone started cheering for them, and after awhile, Bell had also asked Hestia to dance with him, and the two of them were currently dancing in the middle of the camp fire right next to Sora and Asuna. And after awhile, everyone started changing partners, with Sora dancing with Hestia and Aiz, and some of the children's and they couldn't help but smile.

Rina: SORA!!!

Everyone then stopped dancing as they saw Rina running towards them with tears on her eyes.

Sora: Rina? What's wrong?

Rina: My father... Karm...

Sora's eyes widened and everyone in the village started making their way towards Karm's house and both Sora and Hestia stood beside him as they saw Karm was laying on his bed.

Sora: Uncle Karm...

Rina: Father, Sora and the Goddess is here.

Karm looked at them and smile.

Karm: Sora... and Goddess... Thank you for coming.

Hestia: Aw, don't be silly, Mr Karm. You've been very good to me. I'll come any time if you ask me to.

Karm: Sora... Please tell both Rin and Muller and some of my Familia members at Azbaya, that my time has come. And tell them that, thank you for everything. Tell them that after all this time, I've never given up on living.

Sora: Yes... I promise to tell them about everything.

Sora looked at him with tears on his eyes and Karm then looked at Hestia.

Karm: When I saw you, I remembered Lady Brigid.

Hestia: Brigid? The girl with blonde hair and red eyes?

Karm: You know her?

Hestia: Yeah. She and I were best friends. She and i used to play together all the time in Heaven, and we got into fights, too.

Karm: I see. She was a kind girl. She treated everyone as equals, and loved a man like me.

Hestia: Brigid did? Mr, are you sure you're not being tricked? Whenever she's about to lose an argument, she always calls me a shrimp. She was probably just putting on an act when you were around.

Karm just weakly laugh at her comment.

Karm: Is that true? I'm afraid... I didn't notice. Goddess, please tell me... When i go to Heaven... Will I be able to see her?

Hestia: i'm sure Brigid will find you. She's very obsessive.

Karm: I'm scared... Scared to see her, and scared I won't.

Rina and some of the villagers started crying and Hestia undid her hair clip and Karm raised his hand and tried to reach out for her.

Karm: Lady Brigid? Please forgive me... for not being able to protect you.

Hestia then grabbed his hand and smile at him.

Hestia: Thank you, Karm. For loving me.

As soon as Hestia said that, in Karm's eyes, he saw his beloved Goddess and saw that she was smiling at him as she went to hugged him.

Brigid: Now, and forever after, I love you.

Karm couldn't hold his tears any longer and cried out to her.

Karm: My Lady Brigid... I... I... Love you, too...

As Karm said his final words, his life has ended and everyone looked completely shocked and both Rina and Sora started crying their eyes out and Sora was covering the bed sheets with his tears.

Sora: AHHH!!!!

Bell, Aiz and Asuna started crying as well and Hestia went and closed Karm eyes and Asuna went towards Sora and patted his back.

(Timeskip)

After Sora had buried Karm, Bell was currently staring the night sky as he sat near a log and Hestia approached him.

Hestia: There you are.

Bell: Goddess, will Mr Karm be able to see Lady Brigid?

Hestia: It'll be difficult, to be honest. When souls return to Heaven, they're restored to a pure, white state. They forget everything and return to the Lower World.

Bell had a conflicted look and Hestia noticed it.

Hestia: Do you think that Gods like us and you humans shouldn't fall in love?

Bell: we're going to die before you do.

Hestia: Bell, you and Sora sure are one in the same. The both of you know the pain of being left behind, don't you?

Bell then looked down saddened and started remembering his Grandpa.

Bell: When my Grandpa died, I was so sad, I cried and cried, but it wasn't enough. We all have an end that's coming for us. Someday, we'll be able to forget everything. But you Gods are eternal. Having to deal with that pain forever...

Hestia: Don't think about it so hard. We're...

Bell just looked away saddened and Hestia move closer towards Bell and hugged him.

Hestia: Listen, Bell. You and i may not be able to experience time the same way. But I'll always be by your side. No matter how old you get, even when you're an old man, i'll be with you forever. I'll never let you go.

Bell looked at Hestia and started crying his eyes out.

Bell: Goddess...

Hestia: Even if death tears us apart someday, I promised I'll come for you. Even if it takes hundreds, thousands, or ten thousands of years. I'll come to you after you're reborn, and no longer Bell anymore. And I'll say to you, "Will you be my child? Will you join my Familia"? And not just you, I'll find Sora as well. And the three of us will be together like we used too.

Bell continued to cry his eyes out and Hestia hugged him tightly.

Hestia: It doesn't matter whether we're in the Lower World or Heaven. It'll be just like Brigid and Karm. I'll come find you. Because we're divine, and we lived forever! So Bell, don't fear our love.

Bell: Goddess... I... I want to be with you!

Hestia: We'll be together forever, Bell.

Sora then came over and saw the two of them together and Sora had a saddened smile on his face and look at the stars above them and he started thinking about his old Familia, Zeus, Hera, Alfia, Meteria, Zald, Maxim, and Asuna.

Sora: Father... Please continue to watch over me.

(Timeskip)

It was nighttime and everyone was currently in bed, and Sora was in his room, not yet asleep and he was holding two bells on his hand and Asuna walked inside his room.

Sora: Asuna?

Asuna: Couldn't sleep.

Asuna then saw the two bells that Sora was holding and she smile at him.

Asuna: So you still have that...

Sora: Yeah... after seeing Goddess and Bell. I started thinking about Dad. On how he died, his stories about Heroes. And most importantly, his teachings. This bells is what kept me going this entire time.

Asuna: After all this time... you still haven't change one bit. Always looking ahead, and move forward. No matter how harsh it gets, no matter how much pain that path leads, you continue to keep walking. That's what made me fall for you.

Asuna then sit next to Sora and turn off the light and lay on top of him.

Asuna: Isn't it funny, how much people could accomplished if they all work together? And since we used to be the strongest Familia, these people's lives have become our responsibilities, haven't they?

Sora: For me, I want to get stronger not to take back on what is lost. But to protect on what I have today.

Asuna then look at him and gave him a kiss and cupped his cheeks and smile at him.

Asuna: Everyone always expect great things from you. Your Familia is counting on you to protect them. Even the Loki Familia, is expecting great things for you, after what you did. And guess what, so do I. Talk about pressure, huh?

Sora: Yeah... that sure is a lot of pressure.

Asuna: Don't worry, even if the whole world rejects you, I'll always be by your side. I'll help you fulfill your promise you made.

Asuna then laid back on top of him and Sora smile at her.

Sora: Yeah...

(Timeskip)

The next day, Sora, Bell, Hestia, Aiz, and Asuna paid their respect to Karm's grave, and as they were about to leave, Rina gave Sora a small portion of the Black Dragon scale as a goodbye gift from Karm, Sora was conflicted at first, but soon accept it.

Hestia: Okay, let's go!

Sora and Bell: Right!

The three of them started making their way back to Orario with a smile on their face and both Sora and Asuna were holding hands with one another.

Hestia: What a nice village.

Bell: I hope we can go back again someday.

Aiz: If you're going, please bring me and Asuna as well.

Asuna: Yeah, please do.

Bell looked at Aiz and Asuna surprised and Hestia looked at them annoyed.

Bell: Really?

Aiz: Yeah...

Hestia: Who said you both could make a promise like that?! Wallenwhatsit! Asuwhatsit! Go with your Familia! And didn't I say no lovey dovey!

Bell: Come on, Goddess... Sora, a little help!

Sora: Hahaha... Leave me out of this!

Hestia: Shut up, Bell! And don't involve Sora! Hey, are you listening, both of you?!

Sora, Bell, Hestia, Aiz, and Asuna finally made it back to Orario, and both Aiz and Asuna returned to the Twilight Manor and they were greeted by Loki who went to lunged herself towards them, but the two just stepped aside, and Sora, Bell and Hestia returned to their Home and were greeted by their Familia members, Miach Familia, Takemikazuchi Familia, Hermes Familia, and the maids of the Hostess of Fertility and Haruhime went to hugged Bell and both Hestia and Lili looked at her annoyed,

and Sora told Rin and Muller about what happened to Karm and the two of them looked down saddened and was comforted by the others and they had the biggest smile on their face and Muller spoke up to Sora and Rin.

Muller: It's time... both of you. I have to return back to Azbaya.

Sora and Rin realized what she was saying and smile at her.

Sora: Yeah, thank you for everything.

Rin: Please take care...

Muller: Of course...

Everyone then looked at Muller and smile at her.

Hestia: Muller... this one month have been great with you around.

Bell: We'll we ever see you again?

Muller: Of course I'll come back! I found a lot of precious things and wonderful memories I made, during my time here.

Ryuu: Before you go, please give this to Lady Astraea!

Ryuu then give a letter to Muller and she accepted it with and looked back at her two most important people on her life.

Muller: Well Rin... Sora... I'll be going now.

Rin then hugged Muller tightly and she hugged her back.

Rin: Please come back! And next time please bring Lemia and Lady Astraea with you.

Muller: You got it! And Sora...

Muller broke the hug looked at Sora with tears on her eyes and Sora hugged her tightly and she hugged her back and Sora wiped some of her tears.

Sora: Hey, don't cry! I'll always be there if you need me. I'm always going to be by your side. No matter how far apart we are. I'll always be there.

Muller and Sora broke the hug and Muller leaned in to Sora and kiss his cheeks, leaving some of them surprised and both Sora and Rin smile at her.

Muller: Goodbye. I'll return no matter what.

The three of them did their fist bump and Muller left Orario and returned back to Azbaya, leaving her best friend behind as both Sora and Rin had a saddened look but was comforted by the others and they all had a smile on their face.

(Elsewhere)

Somewhere in the dungeon depth, a monster has just been born, a girl with yellows eyes, light blue skin, and dark blue hair with a red gems on her forehead as she emerged from the walls,

and she started looking around her confused.

???: Where... am I?

A/N: And there you have it, the Finale of Season 2 of Danmachi. Honestly to think that I finished both Season 1 and Season 2 in just 6 month. And if you guys think that we won't be seeing Muller anymore, nope, we'll still see her on Season 3 with some new characters that's going to appeared next season. Season 3 won't be published for awhile, since I will make a side story first. And before you read season 3, please read the side story that I posted at Chapter 34.
