No one's POV

The next morning, Artemis had just woken up and got dressed and saw Hestia who was still asleep and left without saying a word. Unknown to her, Hestia was awake and saw that Artemis had just left her and she had a sad expression. After everyone was awake, Sora started going through the plan, and everyone payed close attention to him.

Sora: As you know, this Ruin became a den of monsters. Nyx is still concentrating it's power, waiting. While his power has not yet fully awaken, there is no doubt we'll face great difficulties before we achieve our goal. But never surrender! Never fear! Defeat is not an option!

Everyone started cheering and Sora spoke up.

Sora: Here is the plan! The Hermes Familia will act as a decoy! Just lure enemies out, and avoid any danger. But don't push yourself!

Hermes Familia: Understood!

Sora: Falgar.

Falgar: Yes.

Sora: You'll be in charge. Lead the cohort.

Falgar: Understood.

Sora then looked at his party member.

Sora: Hestia Familia, along with Welf, Lili, and Ryuu, will enter the Ruin while the enemy's attention is drawn to the feint attack! That's when we defeat Nyx! Along with Lady Artemis!

Everyone then looked at Sora completely shocked.

Rin: Wait what?!

Lili: You can't!!

Sora: I'm sorry! But I've already inspect the Ruin. The gate cannot be opened without Kanshou and Bakuya, along with Lady Artemis divine power. That's why, she'll be going with us.

Artemis: Exactly as Sora said, I'll be going as well.

Bell: Lady Artemis!

Hestia: I'm going, too.

Artemis then saw Hestia approaching her as she smile.

Hestia: I can't let you go alone.

Hermes: Then, I should join, too.

Asfi then looked at Hermes annoyed.

Asfi: L-Lord Hermes... You can't just do that...!

Hermes just patted her head.

Hermes: You knew this was bound to happen.

Asfi: Not again...

Everyone just laugh at them.

Falgar: Let's do this. Asfi, everyone, we wished you luck.

Lulune: We are expecting special rewards for this!

Thane: We can be a bit stingy, you know that.

Lili: Us too!

Welf: Geez, now... Lil Lili...

Lili: We're entitled to ask!

Lulune: She's right.

Everyone started laughing and Artemis smiled at them.

Artemis: Thank you, my children. This battle will be rough. Some might even lose their lives... But we will be victorious. For the world we love!

Everyone then started cheering and Sora then noticed something, and started generating a lightning blade in his hand and everyone looked confused.

Rin: Sora...?

Sora didn't say anything and speed blitzed and was behind the Hermes Familia and killed multiple scorpion monsters that were sneaking up on them and they all looked completely shocked.

Asfi: No way! A surprise attack?!

Rin: If Sora's not here, the plan might have failed.

The Hermes Familia then prepared themselves.

Falgar: Who cares. We planed for this.

Lulune: That's right! We just need to move our schedule up.

The Hermes Familia members then charge at the scorpion monsters and started killing them and Falgar looked at the rest.

Falgar: Asfi, go! You're needed elsewhere. Just come home alive, along with Lord Hermes!

Asfi nodded her head and while the Hermes Familia took care of the monsters, Sora and the others made their way to the Ruin of Elsus and made their way inside.

Lili: I don't know there was a Ruin like this...

Welf: So huge...

Rin: We could easily get lost in there...

Ryuu: An ancient Ruin forgotten by History...

Bell: It's quiet...

Sora: Too quiet...

Asfi: Don't let your guard down. We might get jumped again.

Ryuu: Let's go...

Sora: Everyone stay close...

They all entered the Ruin and after awhile, they made their way up to a sealed door.

Ryuu: We are here. This is the sealed gate I mentioned.

Everyone saw a huge door in front of them with two holes on each sides and in the middle was the Artemis Familia emblem.

Welf: Here goes nothing.

Lili: Nyx is just behind this gate...

Sora: Bell, help me out here.

Sora then gave Bakuya to Bell and the two of them along with Artemis walked to the sealed door, and they all looked at each other before nodding their head, and both Bell and Sora insert the swords at the holes, while Artemis put her hand on the door as she used her divine power to slowly open the door. As the door slowly opened, they all saw it looked like some sort of nest and they all looked completely shocked.

Lili: Wh-What's this...?

Sora: This is even worst than I thought...

Ryuu: It's infesting the temple.

Artemis: H-How could this happen...

Sora and Asfi then noticed that the exit was being sealed off and soon they all heard a sound above them and saw a scorpion monster being laid.

Rin: Oh my God...

Ryuu: Are those...

Bell: All eggs?!

Multiple scorpion monsters then started appearing in front of them and everyone prepared their weapons.

Sora: We'll bust through them!

Everyone started pushing their way forwards while also killing multiple scorpion monsters and Sora started giving out orders.

Sora: Bell, Ryuu, Asfi, the three of you will be the front line! Ryuu cover the right, Asfi cover the left, and Bell will cover the center!

Bell, Ryuu, and Asfi: Roger that!

Sora: Ryuu, start concurrent chanting!

Ryuu: Right!

Sora: Welf and Rin, the two of them will cover the center, protect Lady Artemis, Goddess Hestia, and Lord Hermes! While you guys will run in the center along with Lili. Lili, start preparing the elixir and potion!!

Welf and Rin: Understood!!

Sora: As for me, I'll cover our back!!

The rest then nodded their heads and started doing as Sora told them to do and started pushing the enemies back, with Asfi throwing multiple explosive,

and Bell fired his spell.

Bell: FireBolt!!

As both, Bell and Asfi fired their spell and magic items, the monsters were not killed and they looked completely shocked.

Bell: No way!

Asfi: My Burst Oil did work?!

Hermes: It's self- reproductive and self-evolving. I see... Everything evolves faster in here.

As the sheer number of scorpion monsters keep increasing, they all gritted their teeth until both Rin and Ryuu fired their spells and killed dozens of them and opened a path in front of them.

Ryuu: Luminous Wind!!

Rin: Scarlet Flames!!

After they finished firing, it killed almost all of them, along with the eggs.

Sora: Keep your guard up, it still alive!

They all saw that multiple scorpion monsters were being laid again.

Ryuu: It may actually be more powerful than anything in the Dungeon.

Sora: Let's move forward!

Sora then along with everyone else narrowly escaping the scorpions, they all passed through a narrow path and saw multiple monsters in front of them, and Sora ran passed everyone.

Sora: Lightning Clone!!

Sora then created a clone made out of lightning and both of them combined their Lightning Blade into one another and created a cable out of it.

Sora: Lightning Cable!!

Sora then killed the remaining monster that were in front of them and he fell to his knees exhausted and Rin approached him.

Rin: Hey don't overexert yourself! Lili hand me some Elixir!

Lili then gave Rin some Elixir whic then she gave it to Sora and he drank it and after that, they heard a huge roar from the Ruin.

Ryuu: So this is...

Asfi: We're close...

Hestia: Artemis...

Hestia looked at Artemis who was on her knees as well.

Artemis: I'm fine. Let's keep walking...

Artemis then continued to walked forward despite her exhaustion and Sora and Hestia looked at her worried, and Hestia remembered her talk with Artemis.

(Flashback)

Hestia: No! Don't!

Artemis just smile at her and shook her head and Hestia grabbed onto her.

Hestia: Let's go home... You've done enough. You should go back. Sora can handle this...We...We'll handle the rest... So... Artemis... I...

Artemis then pulled Hestia into a hugged.

Artemis: Thank you, Hestia.

(Present)

Hestia just looked down saddened and Bell noticed the changed of behavior at Hestia, and he just ignored it and walked forwards as well. As they were walking, they all suddenly heard a voice, as it was saying inside their heads.

???: This presence... This feeling...

Welf: What the hell?

Rin: What is this voice...?

???: This power... so it is you, Sora Yatagami...

Everyone then looked at Sora.

Sora: This voice... Nyx...

Nyx: To think that we are able to see each other again. Ah... I've missed you... it seems that you brought my long lost weapon... my Kanshou and Bakuya... with that being here...I could become complete again. Come forward...I'll be waiting for you... right ahead.

Sora then looked at everyone else and they all nodded their head.

Sora: Let's go!

Sora and everyone then continued to made their way and after awhile, they all saw multiple tendrils and tubes as it was transporting something towards the monster who was standing in front them. It is a slender and intimidating figure that wears a black, cape like armor by the waist, which has a pair of extremely long tips protruding from it from both sides. It is extremely tall and its legs are very slender and point tipped, and it also has four large wings that are on the same level as its hips. It wears a crown that has a very narrow base and resembles a bowl with 4 broad tips protruding from it. Its sword is abnormally long and is around the same height. The Appraiser and the harbinger of the Fall, Nyx.

Bell: That's Nyx?!

Nyx then looked at Bell and the rest, particularly at Sora.

Nyx: Ahh... have I missed that face of yours, Sora. Thank you for bringing my weapon back. Without it, I wouldn't be able to use my Arcanum.

Sora: Nyx...this is where you'll die. It was a mistake for sealing you away all those years ago!

Nyx: Can you though...?

Nyx then let out a massive roar, and Artemis quickly fell to the ground and started holding her chest in pain and Bell quickly came to her aid.

Bell: Lady Artemis!

Artemis: You must defeat it... Please, Orion, Sora...

Sora then unsheathed both Kanshou and Bakuya, and Bell grabbed the spear, as they were about to attacked, they hear Nyx laughing.

Sora: What's so funny? You can't use your Arcanum without Kanshou and Bakuya?!

Nyx: What makes you think that without Kanshou and Bakuya, I can't use an Arcanum?!

Nyx then opened a part of his chest revealing a gem in the middle leaving everyone completely and utterly shocked.

Ryuu: Is that...

Lili: No, that can't be...

Welf: How...

Asfi: Is it even possible...

Rin: Please tell me I'm not seeing things...

Sora: Why am I not surprise...

Hestia:...

Hermes:...

Bell: Why...? Why is there... another Goddess Artemis?!

The Gem revealed another Artemis inside, and Nyx let out a massive roar let out a beam of light.

Asfi: That... power

The beam of light then shoot right into the sky and not a moments later, multiple beam of light started raining down on them destroying the Ruins, along with the forest along with it.

The ground they were standing from quickly collapse and everyone fell into the abyss.

(Timeskip)

Hestia finally started to stir awake and saw everyone other than Sora, Bell, and Artemis were there.

Rin: Are you alright, Goddess?

Hestia: Rin... hows everyone?

Rin: Their alright?

They all then hear a quarreling and saw that Asfi is confronting Hermes.

Asfi: What's the meaning of this? Why does Nyx have the divine power of an Arcanum?! You said that without Kanshou and Bakuya, he won't be able to use it?!

Hermes: Because she was devoured.

Hestia looked down saddened and Asfi looked at Hermes shocked.

Lili: Where are Master Bell, Master Sora, and Goddess Artemis, Master Welf?!

Welf just shook his head, not knowing the answer.

Welf: They're not here. They must been on a lower floor.

Lili then looked at the rubble in front of her.

Lili: Master Bell...

Rin: Sora...

(Elsewhere)

With Bell and Artemis, Bell was holding onto Artemis as he stares onward as he saw multiple of dead bodies in front of him.

Bell: Th-They are...

Artemis:...my children. All I could do was watch...

Artemis then stood up and walked to where her dead children is.

Artemis: Watch the monster that has consumed me, murder my children... Murder by my own hands...

Artemis then touched one of her children and it was none other than Rethusa, level 4 and the leader of the Artemis Familia, and Artemis smile at her.

Artemis: I'm home.

Bell: So, who are you standing here with us?

Artemis: I'm merely a "residue".

Bell eyes widened completely and utterly shocked. And back with Hermes and the rest, Hermes was currently explaining the situation.

Hermes: She's only a consciousness left in the spear... Just a fragment of herself. She's Artemis, but not all of her.

Lili: So what your saying is...

Hermes: Nyx, was once a Demi-God just like Sora told you. But without his Kanshou and Bakuya, he couldn't use his divine power, but now that Nyx has consumed Artemis and her divine power, and with it can twist the world to fit it. That's why he was known as the harbinger of the Fall.

Lili: We can't... We can't fight something like that! How can we win against a Demi-God?! You Gods should be the one to do something about it!

Hestia: I'm sorry...

They all looked at Hestia who was lowering her head down with a saddened look on her face.

Hestia: I'm so sorry.

(Elsewhere)

Back at Orario, Mord had just inform Eina and the rest of the Guild about the monster outbreak at the dungeon, and Eina along with the rest of the guild quickly requested a call for first-class adventurer. Everyone then felt an earthquake and look to the sky and everyone can see two moon and they all looked completely shocked.

Chigusa: What's that?

Naza: What's happening?

Mikoto: There are two moons?

Aiz: No...

Everyone then looked at Aiz and Asuna as the two of them looked into the sky.

Asuna: That's not a moon.

Upon closer inspection, everyone could see multiple magic circle that forms itself into a moon...

And Loki who was with Freya as the two of them were at the Freya Familia household looking at the phenomenon and Loki looked completely pissed.

Loki: What in the world is going on?!

Freya: Arcanum. And... that's Artemis's arrow. The strongest arrow of Heaven, fired by the Goddess of Chasity...

Loki: I already know that! We can't use that nonsensical power in this world. It's not even funny! If Artemis used her power, she'd be already sent back to Heaven!

Freya: Unless... something's binding her here.

Another earthquake then appeared.

Loki: Something is going on in the dungeon.

Freya: It may be scared. If that thing truly awakens it will spell the end for the Lower World.

The Loki Familia were in the dungeon as they all prepare themselves as they saw multiple monsters trying to reach the upper level.

Finn: It'll be the worst case scenario if Monsters come to the surface. Stand up now! This is a city for us adventurers! We cannot allow a single monster to enter! We have one goal! To protect the city!

Aiz and the others then charge in and started killing multiple monsters and Finn spoke to Asuna.

Finn: Where is Sora? He should be here defending along side us?!

Asuna: He's outside of Orario!

Finn: Outside of Oario?! I thought the guild prevent everyone from leaving the city?! What is he doing?

Asuna: My guess...he solving the issue!

Finn: Gah...we need to ask him some questions when he gets back!!

Back with Loki and Freya, Loki still continued to look completely pissed.

Loki: Ouranus, that old geezer... he knew exactly what was going to happen and locked us inside!

Loki the tried to head out but Freya stopped her.

Freya: It's no use... Even if all the deities in Orario united, we wouldn't be able to stop that much power.

Loki: I don't give a hoot! Even so, we're the only ones who can end this!

Loki then ran outside and Freya just sighed.

Freya: Ottar.

Ottar: Yes Ma'am?

Freya: Go.

Ottar: Are you sure?

Freya: I am. I can only leave the rest in their hands. In Sora's hand.

Back with Hermes and the others, Hermes was still explaining them on how to defeat Nyx.

Hermes: There is only one way to defeat Nyx.

Ryuu: That spear and Kanshou and Bakuya?

Hermes: Yes, but more accurately, that spear is more of an arrow. A moment before she was consumed by Nyx, or maybe after, with the little power she had left... she summoned the arrow into this realm.

Welf: Divine Weapon.

Lili: Divine Weapon?

Rin: That it's a weapon that can kill even Gods. And Kanshou and Bakuya is a weapon that was once apart of Nyx, so it is completely vulnerable to it.

Back with Bell and Artemis.

Artemis: It's called "Orion". It means "They who pierce" and Kanshou and Bakuya. It means "They who slashes the souls" in the God's language.

Bell eyes widened completely and utterly confused.

Artemis: Nyx's has stopped moving for now, but it's only a matter of time. A Demi-God...is a walking paradox of the End and calamity. To end such being, we need to strike it with this arrow and Sora's Kanshou and Bakuya.

Back with Hermes and the other, after Hermes finished explaining the situation, Asfi spoke up.

Asfi: Wait a second. So what you're saying is, the future of this world is in the hand of Sora Yatagami and Bell Cranel?

Hermes: We have no choice. And Sora already knows that, even before we left Orario.

Asfi then grabbed Hermes by the shirt and glared at him.

Asfi: B-But! But are we going to force them to shoulder the sin of killing a Goddess?! Sora might be able to...but, Bell's just a boy!

Hermes: No... This isn't about that. This isn't what this story is about.

Back with Bell and Artemis, Bell saw that Artemis hand started to glow.

Bell: N-NO... You're lying! There's no way that I will... Why... did you choose me? Why me! Why you! Why like this!

(Elsewhere)

Sora who was separated alone started looking around.

Sora: Looks like I got separated from them.

Sora then sensed Nyx's presence and started to make his way there, and he saw a staircase leading him upward, where Nyx is waiting for him.

Sora: Nyx...

Nyx: Sora, I'm sure you've already sensed it. What kind of entity I am. Something that's been promised to formed all forms of life. Something that can't be resisted. But first, I want you to hand me back, my Kanshou and Bakuya!

Nyx's voices was echoed through the entire Ruin and everyone looked completely shocked when they heard that.

Rin: Sora...!

Welf: Don't tell me!!

Lili: No...

Ryuu: Is he going to...

Asfi: All by himself...

Bell: Sora...

Hermes:...

Hestia:...

Artemis:...

Everyone then could heard a voice echoed through out the Ruin and it was Sora.

Sora: I'm not here for that!!

Sora then unsheathed both Kanshou and Bakuya and glared at Nyx.

Sora: I'm going to kill you!
