That's Entertainment! 3
Allison was munching on a donut as she watched the news while Vaggie was fixing her girlfriend's bow to make her look more presentable.
"This Katie Killjoy character is an... interesting character." She muttered hesitantly as she finished the donut.
"Heard that she likes the latest gossip and tells the hottest news." Charlie said as she held still while Vaggie fixed her bow.
"I think I heard that she died by hanging herself? I've... only heard of it." Allison said, while hiding the fact that she actually read how Katie Killjoy died.
"That's surprising considering how her neck sometimes bends in a creepy way." Vaggie said before she stopped adjusting Charlie's bow.
"Okay. You remember what to say?" She asked her before Charlie took a deep breath.
"Yes! Let's do this!" Charlie said with a smile but Vaggie put her hands on her shoulders.
"Just, look at me and Ally and I'll mouth it to you." Vaggie told her.
"This is your first interview and broadcasting your hotel is a serious thing, Charlie. We can't fail now." Allison said as Charlie sighed.
"Come on, Vaggie, Allie! I know what to say! I just feel like we need to... I don't know, make things sound more exciting!" Charlie said as she walked to the table where her two bodyguards are eating donuts with Ally as she grabs one and throws it away.
Her two bodyguards look like a mix of a dragon and goat and both have similar red fur, long black horns, yellow eyes with red irises, similar suits, and red bow ties. However, the first one has more pink fur and his eyes are reptilian-like with thin vertical pupils, while the second one's fur is scarlet and his eyes are larger, with his pupils being round and circular. Both possess dragon-like wings, and their tails are long with the end shaped into a point. Their "hands" have close resemblance to hooves, and their cheeks have pink spots, as well as what appear to be freckles located beside their eyes. The first one appears to have a normal looking tongue, while the second one has a more snake-like one. The first one's fur is a light shade of red, while the stripe going down his snout is darker red in comparison, whereas his counterpart fur is the exact opposite: dark red with the stripe on his snout being a lighter shade of red.
The names of these cute creatures are Razzle and Dazzle. To not get confused by the two, Razzle has a more of a pink hue to his fur and Dazzle has a darker red hue to his fur.
Gasping, Charlie had a light bulb idea as Allison stood next to Vaggie as Charlie approached them.
"Hooo! What if I si-" Charlie started to suggest it but Allison cut her off with a fond smile.
"Sing a song about it, Charlie?" Allison guessed with a smile, already knowing that her friend always burst into songs to explain things better.
"You knew I was gonna say that, Allie!" Charlie said with a cheeky smile as Vaggie shook her head with a smile.
"Because we know you." Vaggie said before getting serious and shook Charlie a little to make her point across.
"But, please don't sing! This is serious!" Vaggie said while Charlie walked to the table.
"I agree with Vaggie, I mean no offense, you have a great voice, but don’t sing. Not everyone is a fan of people singing randomly like it’s a musical." Allison said worriedly as Charlie pouted but it didn't bring her down. She can understand the concern.
"Well, you know, I'm better at expressing myself and my goals through song!" The blonde said as she stood on the table while Razzle and Dazzle watched her, munching on the donuts happily.
Vaggie grows a worried expression on her face which is reflected on Allison's eyes as they walk to her.
"But, life isn't a musical, hon." Vaggie told her while putting her hands on her hips. Charlie deflated, knowing that was true.
"Fine." She gave in before growing excited and giddy as she hopped down from the table and took out a paper.
"But, I have these other ideas of what to say! The highlighted bits are the best part!" Charlie said excitedly before Vaggie took the paper from her as she and Allison looked at it.
"Uh, it's all highlighted." Allison said hesitantly as she looked at the paper before Vaggie squinted her eye at it.
"Is this a drawing...?" She asked in confusion before Charlie came to her side.
"Yes! That's the happy ending, see?!" Charlie said excitedly as she pointed to the crayon drawings of demons with halos and rainbows.
"Everyone smiling and happy in Heaven!" Charlie said happily as she began to fantasize which made Vaggie to pinch the bridge of her nose.
"I don't think it's that simple. Just please follow the talking points we went over." Vaggie pleaded as Charlie read the paper that she has before her girlfriend grabs her to make her look in the eyes.
"And do not sing!" She said sternly with a serious look and Charlie pouted.
"Okay, fiiiine." She gave in as she started to walk to Katie Killjoy.
"I'll just have to resort to my impeccable improv skills!" Charlie said in a manly tone while saluting to her two friends. Vaggie and Allison watched worriedly as Vaggie crossed her arms.
"You think they'll believe her?" Allison voiced her worries.
"I just hope so." Vaggie said as she and Allison watched Charlie approach Katie Killjoy, who was smoking on her cigarette.
"Hi! I'm Charlie." Charlie nervously introduced herself as she offered a handshake but Katie Killjoy just eyed her with disinterest.
"Katie Killjoy." The news woman said with a small sneer as she blew smoke.
"I'd say it's a pleasure to meet you, but that would be a lie." She said with a smirk as Charlie's smile dropped.
"And you can put that away. I don't touch the gays. I have standards!" She said as she gestured to Charlie's hand as the princess dropped her hand with a small frown.
"Yeah? How's uh... how's that working out for ya?" Charlie asked as she looked around nervously.
"Look, my time is money. So, I'll keep this short. You're not here because we wanted you here. You're here because Jeffrey couldn't make it for his cannibal cooking segment." Killjoy said as she proceeded to poke Charlie on her chest then on her nose making the princess blink.
A billboard of Jeffrey's cannibalism cooking show titled "It's Dahm Good!" can be seen in the background beside Killjoy.
"You might be some royal big shot but that doesn't mean shit to me." Killjoy fluffs her hair as her eyes are filled with arrogance.
"I'm too rich and too influential to give a flying fuck about what some tux-wearing demon "princess" wants to advertise." She boasted as Charlie glanced at Tom who was shaking his head in disapproval.
"But, I-" Charlie started but leaned back when Katie was suddenly in her face with a dangerous look. Too close for her comfort!
"So, don't get cute with me, honey, or I will fucking bury you!" She hissed with a wicked smile only for the news staff to shout.
"And we're Live!" The news staff shouted as Katie looked back along with Charlie. Looks like the commercial break is over.
"Welcome back!" Killjoy greeted after rushing back to her seat with some papers in hand and her neck cracking to the side before she fixed it.
"So, Charlotte!" Killjoy started as she put the papers down and smiled widely at Charlie.
"It's... Charlie." Charlie said nervously with a smile as the spotlight shines down on her.
"Whatever. Tell us about this new passion project you've been insistently pestering our news station about!" Killjoy said and from her expression, she was clearly holding in her outburst by clenching the pen in her hand.
Charlie looked really nervous about the interview before she glanced at the crowd and spotted both Vaggie and Allison motioning for her to go on. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly to calm her nerves. Now or never.
"Well, as most of you know, I was born here in Hell and growing up, I always tried to see the good in everyone around me." Charlie started as Killjoy looked absolutely bored only to spot a slug on the desk before stabbing it with her pen which caused the slug's blood to burst all over and some landed on Charlie's cheek.
"Hell is my home and you are my people." Charlie continues while not breaking her composure and wiping the blood off her cheek.
"We... we just went through another Extermination." She said as Vaggie was clearly happy for Charlie's progress and gave her a thumbs up as Allison had her hands held together in front of her with an encouraging smile.
"We lost so many souls, and it breaks my heart to see my people being slaughtered every year. No one is even given a chance!" Charlie said as she slammed her fist on the desk, waking up Killjoy who was already losing interest on what Charlie had to say.
"I can't stand idly by while the place I live is subjected to such violence!" She continued as she walked away from the desk before moving to the crowd.
"So, I've been thinking: Isn't there a more humane way to hinder overpopulation here in Hell? Perhaps we can create an alternative way to change souls through... redemption?" Charli questioned as she walked around the staff and crowd before throwing her arm around one of the staff.
"Well, I think yes! So, that's what this project aims to achieve! Ladies and gentlemen, I'm opening the first of its kind! A hotel that rehabilitates sinners!" Charlie said with a bright and hopeful smile while throwing her hands up in the air for added effect.
But there was an awkward silence as her broadcast was being shown around Pride Ring as some demons were crowded around a shop called The Radio Shack with the broadcast being shown around hell and it was clear that she was slowly losing her confidence.
"Y'know? 'Cause hotels are for people passin' through... temporarily..." Charlie said meekly with a nervous smile.
At the Kaiju Klub, some customers and the owner of it were watching the news and a lizard demon laughed at the TV.
"Ahahaha! IS this girl for real?! She thinks- You hear what she thinks?! She thi- HAHA! Ah, she's nuts." The lizard demon said as he failed to hold back his laughter as he let the Klub with Zeezi and another demon.
"I think it'll serve a purpose... a place to work toward redemption... yay...!" Charlie said nervously as she tried to be enthusiastic but failed.
Back at the Radio Shack where the crowd was watching, the sounds of tapping shoes can be heard but the crowd was too busy looking at the TV to even acknowledge the mysterious and dangerously familiar figure shrouded in darkness who was approaching and watching the news as well but the buzz of static is noticeable after the figures bright ruby eyes narrowed dangerously as his smile widened slightly in anger at the sight of the Radio Shack. If he doesn't know any better, he'd guess that his rival must've made this mess.
Back at the studio, a cameraman demon snickered as Vaggie and Allison watched worriedly about how this would go.
"Stupid bitch." Vaggie heard that and punched the demon in the face and Allison's ears flicked back slightly when she did so.
"Look, every single one of you has something good, deep down inside. I know you do!" Charlie said as she grew saddened before having a light bulb idea. If words can't be enough, there's always her specialty.
"Maybe I'm not getting through to you." She said as she got on the desk.
Both Razzle and Dazzle stopped from eating the donuts as they instantly knew that Charlie's about to sing and that she may need their back-up vocals to help. Allison and Vaggie looked at each other in shock and resignation. They told Charlie not to sing but there's no stopping.
"Oh, no..." Vaggie facepalms her face and peeked through her fingers as Allison's ears pinned back against her head.
"This won't end well for us..." She gulped nervously.
Charlie snaps her fingers as the room turns dark before a spotlight is shown over a piano that Charlie, Razzle and Dazzle start performing on. Where the piano came from, nobody knows.
Meanwhile, back at The Radio Shack, the same shadowed figure and their shadow tilts their heads with an intrigued and curious glint in his red eyes as his smile widens even more. This is getting interesting.
