Hey! This is my first attempt at writing and completing a novel-length story (I have written other works but they've fallen off as time passed and my motivation waned).

Comments and critiques are greatly appreciated and hopefully you enjoy the read.

EDIT 6/19: I guess I surpassed my original goal of 60k words, but I probably won't be continuing this story much more. At first I thought I had wasted three months of my time on this mediocre piece, but it's brought me plenty of experience and practice writing daily.

It's time to start fresh.
