In a dark space, a young girl with pink hair tied in two pigtails named Madoka Kaname had been woken up by her incubator companion named Kyubey who said "Madoka! Madoka!" Madoka Kaname groaned, and said "Aw, Kyubey, is it morning already?! I wanna go to sleep!" "Madoka, this is important!" Kyubey said sharply. Madoka Kaname then realized that she was not in her bed, and she looked at Kyubey as she said "Kyubey, where are we?!" "I'm not sure." Luna said. "But, when I woke up, I saw that we have been teleported to an unknown location. So, we have to stay close!" Just then, they heard a rattling noise as Madoka Kaname said "What's that noise?!" "Crud! People are coming!" A voice said from outside the coffin. "Gotta get a uniform while..." The voice grunted as it struggled to open the lid, and said "Grrr! The lid is too heavy! Time for my...secret move!" It then performed its secret move as it said "Guwaahuuh! There!" Blue fire flashed all around Serena Tsukino and Luna as Serena Tsukino shrieked in terror, and said "Gyaaaa! F-Fire?!" Then, it opened the lid, revealing a room full of floating coffins as it said "Ok, ok. Gotta get-." It stopped talking as it screamed, and it said "Whaaaaaaa! Why are you up?!" Serena Tsukino screamed in fright as she stared at a male cat with gray fur with a white patch on his chest, pink paw pads, blue eyes, and blue flames blazing from the ears, a black and white-striped bow on the neck, and a pitchfork-shaped tail, and said "A t-talking raccoon!"

"Madoka, why are you surprised by a talking raccoon?" Kyubey asked. "You have a talking animal with you." "Hey, I didn't see it coming, ok?!" Madoka said in defense. "So, where are we?" Kyubey asked. "It looks like we are in a room filled with floating coffins." Madoka said. "Which means...we were in a coffin the whole time!" The cat got mad when he heard the word raccoon as he said "Just who are you calling a raccoon?! I am the Great Grim!" He grunted as he said "Well, whatever. Hey, human! Hurry and gimme those clothes!" "Clothes?" Madoka asked as she looked down at what she was wearing over her usual clothes. It was a black and purple robe with gold trimming and gold keys on the purple fabric. "Otherwise...I'll roast ya!" Grim said as he breathed blue fire. Madoka Kaname and Kyubey jumped back as the talking cat said "How rude!" "Dreaming about getting roasted by a raccoon?" Madoka asked. "That's a new one." Grim got mad again as he said "I said I'm not a freaking raccoon!" "I honestly don't care what you are! Just get away from us!" Madoka said. Just then, a voice called out "Hello?! Is anyone out there?" "Huh?" Madoka asked. "Sayaka?! Is that you?! Where are you?!"

"I'm next to you!" Madoka Kaname's best friend named Sayaka Miki said. "Hold on! I'll get you out!" Serena said as she ran to the coffin near her, and with all of her might, she opened it. Sayaka Miki jumped out, and Madoka Kaname said "Are you ok?" "I think so." Sayaka said. Just then, they heard more voices calling for help, and it belong to their friends named Mami Tomoe, Homura Akemi, and Kyoko Sakura. Then, by working together, they got them out of their coffins. Once they were out, Madoka Kaname said "Is everyone ok?" "We're fine." Mami said. "Yeah, but, where are we?" Homura asked. "We're not exactly sure." Madoka said. "Hey!" Grim said trying to get her attention. "Give me those clothes, right now! And hurry! I'm on a schedule here!" "Who's that?" Mami asked. "Who cares?!" Kyoko asked. "Let's just get out of here!" They then nodded, and they ran off. ran down the hallway, past the classrooms, through the courtyard, and she went into the library. After they managed to catch their breath, Homura Akemi looked at Madoka Kaname, and said "Where the heck are we?" "I told you, we're not sure." Madoka said.

Just then, they yelped in surprise when they were nearly hit by the blue flames. They looked over to see Grim standing there with a smug look on his face, and he said "Did you really think you'd all get away from my nose? Dumb humans!" He chuckled, and said "If you don't wanna get roasted, one of you better hand over-!" Just then, Kyubey interrupted him as she said "Enough!" Then, she got in front of the girls as she said "If you want them, come and get them!" Grim smirked, and said "Fine with me! This'll be easier than I thought!" "Ok, girls, prepare to transform!" Kyubey said. The girls nodded as they got out their soul gems. But, before they had a chance to transform, a cord suddenly tied Grim up as he said "Ow! What's with this cord?!" "Huh?" Sayaka asked. "What happened?" Kyoko asked. "This is no mere cord!" A man with black hair, gold eyes, wearing a raven mask, a top hat, a suit undernearth a jacket with feathers on it, whtite socks, and white and black shoes named Dire Crowley said. "It is a lash of love!" He looked at the girls as he said "Ah, found you all at last. Are you all the new students?" "Uh, what?" Mami asked. "You all shouldn't do things like that." Crowley said. "Leaving the gate on your own. Not only that, the five of you have yet to tame your familiars. One of which has broken the number of school rules."

As Dire Crowley picked Grim up, he struggled, and said "Let me go! I'm not their freaking familar!" "Sure, sure." Crowley said not believing what Grim had to say. "The rebellious ones always say things like that. Just quiet down for a moment." He covered Grim's mouth as he muffled in anger. "Well, I happened to be well-trained, thank you!" Kyubey said. "My goodness." Crowley said. "It's unprecedented for new students to leave the gate on their own. Ugh. How impatient can you all be? The entrance ceremony is already well underway. Let's head to the Hall of Mirrors." "New students?" Homura asked. "Gate?" Madoka asked. "It's the room you all woke up in with all of the doors." Crowley said. "All students who wish to attend this academy must pass through one of those doors to arrive here. Normally, students wake up only after the doors are opened with a special key, but-" Mami Tomoe interrupted him as she said "So, those coffins were actually doors." "And the fire must have blown the lid off." Madoka said. "So, in the end, the culprit appears to be this familiar." Crowley said. "If you're going to bring it, along with three more, you have to take responsibility and properly take care of them. Oh my! Now, isn't the time to be long-winded. The entrance ceremony will soon come to a close. Let's get a move on." "Just a second, where exactly are we?" Madoka asked. "And who are you?" Kyoko asked. "What's this?" Crowley asked. "Are you all still dazed? It appeares the teleportation magic has left you all disoriented. Well, it is fine. It happens often enough. I shall give you all an explanation as we make our way.
