Part 3- Aither
Hey! I’m Aither. I’ll assume you’ve heard Adara’s and Cordelia’s stories. I’ll tell my story starting where ‘someone’ walked into the room where Adara and Cordelia talking.
“Aither?! What are you doing here?!” Adara questions me.
“I should probably go…” Cordelia says.
“No, you need to explain this as much as Adara does,” I say. “Now, why did you lie to me Adara? I thought we were friends.”
“We are friends. I just couldn’t find a way to tell you the truth.”
“So you lie to me?!”
“It was my idea Aither,” Cordelia says.
“Why?! Does Chrysanthos know about this?!”
“No…” Cordelia and Adara say in unison.
“Then I should tell him, right? Or are you lying to me again?”
“We aren’t lying Aither!” Adara says, crying.
“Well, I haven’t been telling the whole truth either,” I say.
“W-what do you mean?” Adara asks.
“Me and Chrysanthos have been doing the same thing.”
“Wait, WHAT?!” both girls scream.
“You mean to say that you guys are friends too?” Adara asks.
“Hehe, yeah. I guess we should probably call Chrysanthos over,” I say.
“Might as well,” Cordelia says as she starts calling Chrysanthos. As she’s trying to get Chrysanthos to come over, Adara and I talk.
“So, when did you and Cordelia start being friends?” I ask her.
“When you had your doctor’s appointment.”
“And that’s when you lied to me.”
“Exactly. So, when did you and Chrysanthos start being friends?”
“About the end of first quarter.”
“Wow, so you’ve been lying to me more than I’ve been lying to you.”
“Yeah…” we both hear knocking. “Sounds like someone is at the door.”
“Come in! It’s open! Might be Chrysanthos or the plumber my parents ordered.”
“Hey Chrysanthos,” Cordelia says.
“Hey… What’s going on here?” he asks.
“The fact that we all are actually friends,” I say.
“Oh, hey Aither.”
“Now that all of us are here, should we tell them Cordelia?” Adara says.
“Tell us what?” I say.
“I don’t know Adara. We don’t even know if that girl was telling the truth,” Cordelia says.
“What girl?” Chrysanthos asks.
“If we do tell you guys, which we might, you have to keep it a secret,” Adara says.
“Just tell us!” Chrysanthos and I say.
“Fine… Adara and I are two of the six elements. Adara is fire and I’m water. Our hair represents which element we are,” Cordelia explains.
“How does that involve us?” I ask.
“The girl that we met told Cordelia that you two might be two of the other four elements. Air and Earth but nobody knows who is going to be which one,” Adara says.
“No way! Do you guys have powers?” Chrysanthos asks.
“Yes, but we don’t know how to use them,” Cordelia says.
“Quick question, what are the other four elements?” I ask.
“Earth, Air, Light and Dark. The Light and Dark element is mixed,” Adara says.
“How will we know for sure that we are an element?” Chrysanthos asks.
“The way that Adara and I found out is after saving a child from dying and meeting a mysterious girl. I don’t know how yours is going to go,” Cordelia says.
“That would make sense being that we all are different people,” I respond.
Cordelia’s phone starts ringing along with Chrysanthos and mine. Our parents are calling us to start heading home due to the late hour.
“See you later Adara,” we all say in unison.
“See ya guys,” she responds. “Boys, if you have a strange encounter, text me or Cordelia, got it?”
“Yeah, yeah,” Chrysanthos and I say as we are leaving.
As I start walking towards my house, I hear a weird hissing noise. I, curious as I may be, start heading towards a house that has a child screaming for help and, gasping for air? I start sprinting into the house to get the child out. After I get the child out, I get trapped in the house. I start wandering around the house when I start hearing a voice.
“Hello? Is someone there?” I call out realizing that I can breathe normally in this mysterious gas.
“Hello Aither,” a mysterious boy, that looks exactly like me except he has teal hair that fades to white, says.
“Wh-who are you?”
“The one who gives you your new form and explains what it is.”
“Okay… and your name is…?”
“Can’t tell ya. I’m going to assume you know about Adara and Cordelia,” he says as he transforms into them both for about ten seconds before changing back into the form that looks like me.
“Y-yeah?”
“Then you know that they are elements, right?”
“Yeah, I take it that I’m an element too, right?”
“Yep. You’re the Air element. Any gas that would normally be harmful to humans doesn’t affect you and you can breathe underwater with the water element. Have Adara and Cordelia explained to you about their encounters?”
“Yeah, and based on what I know, there is one more element to find, am I correct?”
“Yep. I’m pretty sure that it’s your friend Chrysanthos.”
“Cordelia said that. Is there anything else I need to know?”
“Other than after the last element is found, I will be visiting the four of you and explaining your powers.”
“What form will you be in?”
“This form,” he says as he transforms into a goddess.
“Wait, you’re a goddess?!”
“Yes, and to be more precise, the goddess of the elements. My name is Aadya.”
“I thought you weren’t aloud to tell me your name?”
“Yeah, well, I changed my mind. Is there anymore questions young one?”
“No, and I need to get home. Thanks for explaining. Bye Aadya!”
“Bye Aither.”
After I got home I sent a text to Cordelia and Adara saying that I’m the Air element.
A/N: That’s where I’m going to stop for now. I’ll add more in the next part, maybe. Now, if you guys want to, you can make fan art for Adara, Cordelia and Aither.
