×Tenten's POV×

I felt something poking my cheek....I just ignored it for a while till it started getting annoying...

I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I saw Neji staring at me....

"What is it?"-- I asked him raising an eyebrow.

" You......"---

" I what?" -- I stared at him and gestured at him so he could continue....

"........"

"Ughhh....HELLO! EARTH CALLING TO NEJI!"-- I said looking at him firmly.

" You look different "-- he told me. " with your hair down and all...."-- he then walked away slowly.

I didn't leave my hair in buns when I went to sleep. I did look kinda different with my hair down so I can't judge him by acting so surprised...

*sigh*....I remembered I really wanted to take a nice shower to relieve all the stress I had because of the mission. "This would be so much easier if it only were the girls and I."-- I thought inside my head.

Then I looked at Neji and didn't realize I was staring at him...I was lost in thought....he then noticed me looking at him.

" Tenten ?...."-- he said looking at me weirded out.

I didn't notice him talk and just kept staring at him in thought...

"Tenten? Are you feeling alright?"-- Neji said approaching me.

I didn't notice a single thing he was doing.... I was to focused thinking on the mission and how the other girls were doing with their " bodyguard's ".

Neji then snapped his fingers in front of my face; causing me to snap out.

" ohh sorry about that, I was just lost in my own thoughts ya know...."-- I said kinda embarrassed.... I knew I looked like a dummy when I was staring at him....*sigh*

"Ok then.......well who's gonna use the bathroom first?"-- he asked me.

" Ohh I don't know..... you can go ahead if you wanna, I don't mind waiting."-- I said casually.

"Nahhhh.... Ladies fi-"--

I cut him off by saying while rolling my eyes and walking toward the bathroom's door. " Yeah yeah 'ladies first' I know... "-- I said pretty casually.

I took my towel and clothe with me. I then opened the bathroom's door and locked it up, just in case he thought about doing any funny business. I took my time at the shower, the water was pretty warm and I liked it that way.

* 40 mins. Later*

I had already gotten ready and unlocked the door. I was about to open my big mouth until I noticed Neji was looking outside the window. He had his face resting on one of his palms and looked pretty lost in thought as I did a while ago.

He then noticed my presence and walked up to the bathroom, not saying a single word.

" Pfft.... He could've at least said something.... "-- I pouted looking at the ground.

I got my stuff ready so we could head out. And waited for him outside the place we were staying at.

*20 mins. Later*

" Let's go princess "-- I hear a very familiar voice behind me.....you guessed right, it was Neji....with his old ass boring face. He started walking ahead of me.

" You forgot the 'fake' part ya know! "-- I said while running after him.

Then we walked in silence. It wasn't an awkward silence, it felt nice and peaceful. We started approaching a small village up ahead....*sigh* now I had to walk with this rude ass in public...

We got to the village and it was REALLY CROWDED! There was a lot of people even tho the village was pretty small. Then I started hearing some whispers here and there. They were all from girl's.....

" Look over there! That guy looks hot!"

"Wow.....he's really handsome!"

"I'd totally marry a guy like that!"

"Ahhhhhhhh! He's so sexy! Did you see him look at me!? I'm gonna die!"

"Pfftttt.....pathetic...."- I muttered looking at the ground and walking a lil faster. I didn't like girls who just threw themselves at men just because of their looks....

Suddenly someone lifted me up by my waist and started spinning me around.

" TENNIE!!"-- I heard the guy say.....I knew that voice.

He then placed me down smiling at me really wide.

"Kiba!? I told you not to call me that in public!!"-- I then automatically smacked his head.

" Aowww! That hurt you know!?....Besides....I forgot about that...its been two years since we didn't see each other!"-- he said a bit sad.

"Awww sowwwy! I missed ya!"-- I hugged him really tight and then let go. I totally forgot Neji was there.

" Hahaha I know! I missed ya too!"- he said quite happily but then said confused..."Who's that guy?"

"Ohhh right! I haven't introduced you guys!.....Well Neji, this is my best friend, Kiba. And Kiba, this is Neji....."--

"Ohhh I'll just look up his name in a dictionary and it'll tell me everything about him."-- Kiba said sarcastically. " What I meant was, 'who is he to you'?"

"Hey! No need to be so rude ya know!....Well to answer your question.....

I then looked at Neji, who was beside me expecting me to answer. I didn't really know what he was 'to me' I didn't really consider him a friend because we hadn't talked to each other quite a lot .....not to mention! I didn't consider him a comrade either! Since he didn't cared about me falling into a pit hole!....*sigh*

" He's my partner for a missi-"--

"Ouuch!!" I felt someone pinch my arm....I knew it was Neji... I forgot our mission was supposed to be 'classified'.

I then quickly corrected myself and lied to Kiba...."Umm well he's my boyfriend....we're just exploring around ya know!...."

Kiba looked at me shocked....I felt really guilty because...well he was my best friend! He always stood up for me when we were at school and stuff. I was called a weird tomboy cuz I didn't really dress all cute as the other girl's did, and I didn't really care about the guys all the girls were fangirling about. I preferred training.

Did she just say boyfriend!?.....I couldn't believe what I heard....Tenten was never interested in any guy.... Well I guess people change....*sigh*

"So that's your boyfriend?"-- I said as if I didn't care...

That Neji guy just stared at me like if he could 'Kill me with his glare" .

"Yeah....."-- Tenten said and looked away as if she felt guilty by telling me that.

" Well....have a nice day then.....I gotta go now, I'll catch you at the village sometime ok?"-- I told her and felt like hugging her but her "Boyfriend" just kept glaring at me annoyed so I contained myself.

"Ohh....well have a nice day too....I'll be sure to talk to you soon."-- she said while smiling widely..... I could tell it was fake, but I didn't feel like arguing with her.

" Bye then Tennie!"-- I said walking away.

"Hmmphh I'll let it slide this time! Take care ok!"-- she said with a more realistic smile.

I just waved at her and walked away.

×Neji's POV×

After that big encounter Tenten had with her friend we didn't really say much while we were walking.

"Boyfriend huh?"-- I said to her in a teasingly way.

"Ohh shut up! I couldn't come up with anything better!"-- she stated crossing her arms a bit angry.

"Calm down, it's not like it's the end of the world; A small lie won't mess up your friendship."-- I said tryna cheer her up somehow.

*sigh*...."You're right, I shouldn't be worrying to much... I'll only make it worse."-- she said and then completely went from 'A sad,guilty girl' to 'A happy girl'.

Then we started talking about ourselves. She seemed really interested in what I had to say. She listened to every word I said really closely; it made me glad to know that she was starting to like me little by little.

We ate, she asked me if we could train a bit and I accepted. I wanted to see if the legends about her were true. People said she had a 100% accuracy. Which meant she never missed her target. I was surprised to see how she managed to hit every target perfectly.

"Wow, you're pretty good at this."-- I stated impressed.

"I know! I'm not called weapon master for nothing ya know"-- she said proud of herself.

We were getting closer to the Hetsu village were we had to meet the other's. But it got late. So again, we stopped at a place and rested for the night.
