He's one of them?

No one said the training was going to be easy. It was the only reason Izuku was sucking it up at the moment. That and he knew he needed to do it, if he wanted to use One For All safely.

Izuku dragged piece of junk by piece of junk. One by one, cleaning the beach. From simple litter, to household appliances, and even the occasional vehicle.

It was hard, but effective. Within the first month, Izuku was already seeing progress. He had lost all of his baby fat, and gained some, but not noticeable muscles.

By the fifth month, Izuku had cleaned a Good portion of the beach. Over half of it. But to Izuku at this point, didn't seem like much. You can never see the whole forest at once, if you go tree by tree.

He had gained a lot of muscles by this point. But thanks to his dressing habits of wearing baggy clothes. No one noticed.

It had been nine months. That meant it was a month until the UA entrance exams. All Might was walking to the beach to continue the training. But he was not prepared for what he saw.

Izuku was standing on top of a pile of junk, screaming his lungs off. All Might ran to the beach entrance and saw that Izuku had done it. He had cleaned the entire beach.

All Might was shocked to say the least. So much so that the only thing he could mutter our was, "holy... stinking... Super crap!" He exclaimed while transforming.

Izuku had just about finished his screaming fit. And his lungs then quit to find a better, more quiet job. Due to the lack of oxygen in his system, Izuku feinted. He fell of his pedestal, to which All Might caught him.

Izuku was barely conscious when he uttered out, "All Might... I did it".

"You sure did kiddo. You're a real entertainer. You exceeded my expectations, and as such, I believe you more than deserve this".

All Might placed Izuku down, to which he was barely standing. All Might then plucked out one of his hairs. "Take this to heart young man. You made it here through sheer determination and courage. You have more than proved to me that you deserve this".

Izuku was crying at this point. All Might was then going to hand the strand of hair to Izuku, "Now... eat this".

"... HUH?"

"I'm afraid this is the only the transfer can work. You need to consume a strand of my DNA. Don't worry, I've made sure it's clean".

Izuku reluctantly grabbed the hair, and swallowed it. It was gross, and Izuku felt like vomiting. He didn't, because he'd rather not have to swallow another hair.

Once Izuku got over his ordeal, and drank about a gallon of water. He tried to see if there was any new feeling in his body.

There wasn't.

Noticing Izuku's confusion, All Might spoke up, "it will take some time for the quirk to integrate itself into your DNA. I'd give it at least three or four hours".

"Ok, so what should I do now?"

All Might then deflated, "it'd be best, if you go home now and rest. You've been through a lot these past few months, and I'm afraid it's only going to get harder. You need as much rest as you can get, before tackling One For All".

Izuku nodded. He said his goodbyes and left.

Izuku was walking back home. He was definitely looking forward to collapsing into his bed. God, did he need it.

But out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone. Normally he wouldn't pay any mind to them, but something about this person was different.

He looked, and saw a guy about the same age as him. He had shoulder length spiky white hair, and bright red eyes. He was wearing a white shirt and black trousers, with a red hoodie wrapped around his waist.

The guy had a light smirk on his face and looked directly into Izuku's eyes. Izuku had never seen this person in his life, yet he brought around a sense of familiarity to him.

"It's a strange feeling, isn't it?" The guy said.

"Huh?"

"It was definitely weird for me the first time I felt it"

"What are you talking about?"

"That feeling you first get, when you meet another disciple"

Izuku was definitely confused, how did he know about that? Was he a disciple?

"To answer the inner monologue that is most definitely going on inside that weird little head of yours. I am indeed a disciple, much like yourself".

"You... you're a disciple?"

"Is that your final answer? Well ding ding ding, you got it. June, tell him what he's won". He then starts talking again, in a feminine voice, "Well, some quick lessons in common sense" his voice drifting back to normal, "seriously, you gotta trust you're instincts more. Contrary to popular belief, instincts are generally correct more times then they're not".

"It's just that, this is all new to me"

"Well duh. Practically no one ever gets the chance. But you're the intellectual type, you think, 'if it's not in a textbook, it must be utter nonsense'" that last part was said in a stereotypical nerd voice.

Izuku didn't know how to react. He had just met one of the five disciples. But what a first impression. Whatever he was expecting, it was not this.

The guy chuckled a bit before calming down. "Hey, we haven't even introduced ourselves yet. Well let's get those out of the way. The name's Rico Hioni, and you are Izuku Midoriya".

Izuku was getting a little tired, he was getting more questions than answers at this point.
First of all, All Might said it would take a few hours for the quirk to integrate itself into his DNA. So how is it, that this guy knew what he was, before he even became it? Also, how did he know his name?

"H-how do you..."

"Know you're name?"

"Yeah...?"

"Well, to put it simply. I was there when Toshinori was first offering you One For All".

'Toshinori? Was that All Might's real name?'

"W-why were you there?"

"Because I had a gut feeling that he was about to choose his successor. Low and behold I was right. I then sorta eavesdropped in your conversation. Sorry"

Izuku had a weird impression of this guy, Hioni was his name? Anyway, he seemed odd. He seemed like the type of guy to do whatever he felt like, and say whatever he wanted. Like he had no inhibitions, nor did he care. The kind of guy to poke fun at any situation, if he was given the chance. How did this guy become a disciple? Izuku wasn't too convinced he was one.

The sound echoed from behind the two. Rico let out an annoyed groan, raising his head to the sky, slowly turning around and facing the sound.

It was a mugger, pointing a loaded gun at the two. "Really? Mugging a pair of teenagers? How sad do you have to be?"

"Shut up, and hand over your valuables" the mugger said.

Izuku was quick to put his hands up, while Rico looked very unimpressed. He started strolling towards the man, not showing an ounce of fear.

The mugger then shot Rico five times, stopping him in his tracks. But then a clinging sound could be heard. It came from the floor, and both Izuku and the mugger looked.

All five bullets, were on the ground just in front of Rico's feet. They were undamaged, and there appeared to not be any steam coming off, or any sign that they were at all hot.

Rico tilted his head to the side, clicking his neck in the process. "So you wanna play, huh?" He said with a little grin.

Izuku felt something. Like a heartbeat. It was pulsating, and getting more rapid. Then, Rico's veins started to glow red, which then died down, being replaced with red bio electricity.

Rico then moved toward the mugger, faster than the eye could see. He stopped mere inches in front of the muggers face. And gave him a little shove, that propelled him fifty feet backwards.

"Now you, stay there. I'm busy".

Izuku didn't know how to react. Sure the guy was a common thug who didn't really pose much of a threat relatively speaking. But this guy, who didn't really take things seriously, not only stopped five bullets without having to do anything. But could also move incredibly fast and could produce a lot of strength without much effort. Izuku was starting to believe this guy may in fact be one of the disciples.

But that brought up another question. What was that feeling, when he started to use his quirk?

Rico turned around to face Izuku. The light show died down as he said, "can you believe the nerve of some people?"

'Says the guy who eavesdrops on people' Izuku thought. He was surprised he could even crack a joke at this point, even if it was to himself.

Izuku stood there not knowing what to do, it had been a very strange night for him.

"Crazy night for ya, isn't it?" He said with a slight grin.

"Ok, you are actually a disciple"

"I thought we went over this, or did you not believe me? Fair enough I guess. I don't seem the type to given the responsibility of this quirk".

'At least he's honest'

"So, really the reason I came here tonight was just to say hi. I'm supposed to be working in the shadows all inconspicuous like. I shouldn't introduce myself to someone like you until you were already a disciple. I don't know, one of our old rules I guess".

Rico then pulled out a slip of paper from his pocket, and handed it to Izuku. "Here's my number. If you need anything, or have any questions that Toshinori can't answer give me a call. Hell, if you want to hang out, I'd be cool with that. However, I don't do one night stands alright. I had this one guy who was really confused about this, cause apparently I'm attractive to gay people".

'This guy really does not have a filter' Izuku thought, he was too overwhelmed to form coherent sentences at this point, so he left it to his thoughts.

Rico then starts to walk back in the alley, "ok, see ya later. I've gotta drop this schmuck off at the police station".

And like that, both he and the mugger were gone. Izuku stood there, holding the slip of paper. He was trying to wrap his head around the weirdest five minutes of his life.

He shook himself out of it, and continued his stroll home.

[Author's notes]
So, what do you think of my OC? I wanted the five disciples to be a colourful cast of characters. So I will make all the OC disciples, an embodiment of an aspect of me. Rico's case, he is the embodiment of all my sass.

Anyway I thought, since I've put in so much time and effort into this character (not really) and since he's going to be a main character, I've made a character card of him, as you can see above.

Please, I want to hear your opinions of him, so write them down in the comments.

Anyway, that's all I got time for today. See you guys in the next one. Peace.
