"I will not." replied Lilisa.

Thranduil was beyond shocked. He thought he didn't hear what Lilisa said correctly, but then he looked at her face expression and knew that he heard right. Thranduil put the ring down and back into the pouch, so he wouldn't lose it.

"What?" asked Thranduil.

"Thranduil I can't marry you. It's not because I don't love you because I do, it is just that I know you don't feel the same way about me." said Lilisa.

Thranduil had no idea what Lilisa was talking about. He loved her so much and if he didn't, then he wouldn't of purposed to her. The two of them stood up. Lilisa couldn't look at Thranduil anymore. She felt terrible for declining his proposal, but she didn't feel like it was right.

"May I ask why you can't?" asked Thranduil.

"Thranduil I don't question you love for me, but I have realized that I am not the one you really love. You lost your true love along time ago, and that was the day that you also lost your heart. I do not have your heart, she does. I know that I could never replace her or make you happy like she could. Which is why I will not marry you." explained Lilisa.

Lilisa gave Thranduil a kiss on his cheek before she walked away from him. She walked down the path without looking back in Thranduil's direction. She headed to her room, while Thranduil remained in the garden. He was so broke and lost that he had to sit down on the bench. He couldn't believe all of this happened. He was definitely not expecting this to happen the way it do tonight.

Eventually, Legolas and Tauriel showed up in the garden. They walked over to Thranduil. They didn't know what happened because Thranduil was alone in the garden.

"Ada (father), what happened?" asked Legolas.

"Are you getting married to Lilisa?" interrupted Tauriel.

"She said no." said Thranduil.

Legolas and Tauriel were even shocked. They couldn't believe that Lilisa said no to Thranduil's proposal. The exchanged looks at each other before Legolas left Tauriel and Thranduil together in the garden. He was heading to Lilisa's room to see what was the matter. He was worried about his friend, but also his father.
