Chara's POV

"Error! You said a week! It's been-"

"Shut up." He growled. "She's been unconscious. Hopefully, she won't wake up."

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, sure. You owe my big time for this delay."

"Is chocolate really all you care about?" He sighed. His casual tone offended me.

"Of course destroying the universe is important, but I get cranky if I don't get my chocolate!"

"You're lucky you're indispensable, Chara."

I chuckled. "I know!"

Sans' POV

Y/n finally began to stir. I was by her side in an instant.

"Hm, Sans?" She opened her eyes.

"Yes, yes it's me. Are you alive?"

She laughed quietly at that. "No dum dum. I'm dead. How long was I out?"

I hesitated. "About four weeks. I was really nervous you weren't gonna make it. Alphys said you were going to wake up within the hour you passed out."

"Is there any food in this place?"

"Absolutely. Just stay there and I'll bring you some." I ran to the break room and snagged a couple cinnamon buns Papyrus had brought down earlier. "Don't worry, I've got-"

Y/n was up and walking around, laughing with Papyrus, Ink and Alphys. "What are you doing? I told you to stay there!"

"But I'm not tired! I wanna do something fun!" She smiled, making my heart skip a beat.

"Okay. Uh, I'll be right back." I set the cinnabunny's on the table and teleported upstairs. "G! Where you at?"

"In here." A muffled voice came from Alphys office/home space. I walked in, but froze in the doorway. Gaster was watching Mew Mew Kissy Cutie. And singing along to the opening.

"What are you doing!?"

"Watching this anime Alphys introduced me too. It's so cute!"

I quickly turned off the TV. "This is serious. If Y/n is about to die, we need to have the best time ever, so she's happy and falls in love with me before she dies."

He just laughed. "You're really stuck on death aren't you? Well, if it'll make you happy. What do you propose?"

"I thought today we could have a welcome party!"

"But she's been here forever. She doesn't-"

I cut him off. "I promised her a welcome party! You know I don't like promises!"

He made a very serious face. "I see. Well let's get to work then! Papyrus, Ink and Alphys will keep her busy until we can prep it all. At our house, right?"

"Of course. You go decorate, and I'll invite everyone." This was going to be the best welcome party ever.

Ink's POV

It was great to finally meet my sister for real! The circumstances weren't quite what I imagined, but good enough. She reminded me of- well, me!

Sans teleported over to me and grabbed my arm, taking us upstairs. "What's the deal, man?"

"Were throwing a party for Y/n. Tell Al and Pap, and the three of you keep her busy for a few hours while Dings and I get ready." And with that, he teleported away.

I went back downstairs, and sneakily informed Alphys and Papyrus of the plan. The next few hours were spent playing games and making sure Y/n took her medications.

Gaster's POV

"Hmm..." I mused to myself. I had never thrown a party before, and wasn't sure where to start. "Maybe streamers. That seems like something I've seen at a party." Not surprisingly, we didn't have any. What can we use for a substitute...

I have lots of bandages at the lab! I snapped, bringing them to me. I strung them through the bannister and across the ceiling. Stepping back to look at my work, I realized they weren't very colorful. I grabbed some markers and colored them to the best of my abilities. It was much brighter after that.

What else? I figured balloons were good, so I looked around for what we could use. Turned out, we actually had some balloons. Unfortunately, there were holes in them. I tried unsuccessfully to blow them up. I finally decided they were fine the way they were. My hands had holes in them, and they still worked fine! I hung them up.

Then Sans teleported in, and gasped, looking at the decorations. "Well, what do you think?" I smiled proudly.

"G, this is..."

Sans' POV

I invited all of Y/n's friends, and headed back to the house to check on Gaster's progress. I walked in the find the most... indescribable. Decorations.

"Well, what do you think?" He grinned.

I cringed inwardly. "G, this is... nothing I could have ever imagined."

He beamed, taking it as a compliment. I would have done something about it, but Y/n was already on her way over.

"Everyone should be showing up any minute now. Can you start cooking pancakes? Yours are her favorite." This was going to be as close to perfect as possible.

Your POV

"Guys, are you hiding something? Why can't I leave?" I tried to step around Papyrus, but he scooped he up in a hug.

"YOU CAN'T GO! I NEED TO GIVE YOU MORE HUGS!"

I pried myself out of his arms. "That's sweet, but you can do that anytime." I teleported, but Ink grabbed my arm as I left, bringing me back as soon as I left. "Guys! I just want to go home!"

"B-B-But, don't y-you want to p-play Scrabble again?" Alphys stuttered, startled by my outburst.

"No! You can only play that game so many times, and I never liked it in the first place!" I threw my arms up in frustration.

"SAY, WHAT TIME IS IT?" Papyrus inturrupted.

"Time for you to get a watch!" Ink laughed.

"Time for you to get a new joke." I sassed, getting annoyed. "It's six, why?"

Everyone jumped up. "Okay, let's go home!" And suddenly, we were on our way home. Something is definitely up...

We walked in the front door of the house to find Sans, Gaster, Undyne, Napstablook and Mettaton already there. They all snapped up when we walked in. "What-"

"SURPRISE!!!" They shouted.

"What is all this?" I asked, looking at the deflated balloons and streamers that looked suspiciously like bandages.

"I promised you a proper welcome party, didn't I?" Sans walked over to me as Ink, Alphys and Papyrus moved in and began talking to the others.

I chuckled. "I suppose you did." I sniffed the air, smiling. "And you even got Gaster to cook pancakes! Thanks Sans!" I resisted the urge to hug him.

"Welcome home, kid."
