~35

"Are you ready, Y/n?" Asgore asked gently. We decided to hold the wedding services in the Snowdin clearing, where we spend many nights looking up at the stars. The reception would be held at our house later that evening.

I took a few deep breaths, calming myself. I nodded confidently, and we stepped around the corner. Everyone gasped, staring at me in my beautiful dress. But that wasn't what caught my attention.

Sans waited at the end of the aisle, in a nice black suit, with a black silk bow tie around his neck. He was staring back at me, blushing brightly. I knew I looked the same. Finally, we made it to the end of the aisle, and I faced Sans, smiling brightly.

"You ready for this?" He whispered so only I could hear.

"Of course."

~After The Ceremony~

We kissed long and hard, while everyone cheered us on. The wedding had been a little unlike I was expecting, since it was a monster wedding. There was a lot of cheering and singing, but it was fun!

"So, how about we get the first slice of cake?" Sans beckoned me over to the buffet table.

I giggled. "You're still hungry at a time like this?"

"Of course! Getting married is draining, you know." He teased.

"Oh, am I a burden? I didn't realize." I bantered back.

"Let's just cut the act already and eat some cake!" He laughed at his own pun, and picked up the knife. I wrapped my fingers around his, slowly cutting through the decadent cake.

We both grabbed forks, and got a small bite ready. The cake was just about in each other's mouths, when Sans shoved it into my face, smearing frosting across my cheeks. I gasped, but quickly shoved my piece into his face in return.

"Gah! It's in my socket! It's in my eyes!" He scrabbled to get the cake out of his eye sockets as I laughed my guts out. All around us, the other monsters were laughing, and taking pictures.

Finally, I decided to grab a napkin, and Sans finished cleaning his face. "You've still got cake on your face though." He pointed out.

I wiped a bit more frosting off, but most of it smeared across my face some more. "Well this just great. Sans, get it off!" I laughed.

"Okay, okay, let me just-" He was leaning in to wipe it off with his napkin when Papyrus bounded over.

"Y/N, THERE IS FROSTING ON YOUR FACE!" He exclaimed. He quickly snatched the napkin out of Sans' hand and rubbed the cake off my face.

"..........HAHAHA!" I burst out laughing, Sans joining me. Pretty soon, everyone was laughing except Papyrus.

"WHAT? WHAT'S SO FUNNY?" He asked in confusion.

"N-Nothing, Pap." Sans wheezed.

"Hey Papy dear! Weren't you getting some cake for us?" Mettaton made his way over to Papyrus, smiling brightly.

"I'M SORRY METTATON, I GOT DISTRACTED."

"That's fine darling. Let's go dance, shall we? Blooky is the dj!" Mettaton pulled Papyrus over to the dance floor, and they began dancing happily.

Sans growled dangerously. I wrapped him in a hug to calm him down. "Sans, look at them. Papyrus has never been happier! And Mettaton is genuinely smiling- not that fake TV smile. They deserve to be happy, just like us." I peck him on the cheek, which seemed to help.

"...I guess. But I'm only allowing a friendship. That's it." He sulked.

"I know it's hard watching Papyrus grow up, but he has to some day. Just imagine how Gaster felt watching you both grow up. C'mon, let's go actually have some cake."

The day was long and fun, with lots of food and dancing. Toriel, Asgore and Frisk had a wonderful time as a family. Grillby and Muffet just kept making food, trying to outdo each other. Alphys and Undyne announced their new relationship, and Papyrus and Mettaton danced the night away.

Sans and I? Well, we stepped out into the cool, snowy air and took a stroll around town. We ended up back at our clearing, so we laid down, looking at the stars once more.

"Look, a shooting star!" I pointed as a glowing rock tumbled from the ceiling. "Make a wish!"

I closed my eyes, silently wishing. After a minute, I turned to Sans. "What did you wish for?"

He shrugged. "I didn't. I've already got everything I want."

I playfully shoved him. "Is our whole life going to be a cheese-fest?"

He laughed, and sighed, smiling widely. Probably thinking about the marriage. I couldn't blame him. It still felt surreal. "Are you sure you don't want anything?"

"Nope. I'm good."

"Not even a ham sandwich?"

"...Actually that sounds pretty good."

I giggled, pulling a small sandwich out of my pocket, unwrapping it. "Well here, your wish has come true."

He gasped, taking a large bite from the sandwich. "How did you know?"

"I just had a feeling." I shrugged, laying down.

"Well what was your wish?"

"Can't tell, or it won't come true." I shook my head, shutting my eyes. Suddenly, I felt his teeth against my lips. We kissed, and slowly pulled apart. "Well, I just got my wish."

We both laughed, falling into silence, like usual. Eventually, we decided it was late enough, and we aight to head back home. I intertwined my fingers into Sans' as we kicked up the light dusting of snow.

"You look beautiful Y/n." He whispered in my ear.

"You're the most handsome skeleton I know." I whispered back.

"Tibia honest, you only know two other skeletons." He chuckled.

"Well tibia honest, you only know two other humans." I shot back playfully.

"Fair enough, princess."

"Are you trying to give me a nickname? You called me angel the other day, too."

"...maybe. It's not working very well."

"Y/n works just fine, thank you."

He stopped me, and stared deeply into my eyes. His deep, beautiful eye sockets never ceased to stun me. We kissed, slowly and happily.

"I love you Y/n."

"Love you, Sans."
