Ch. 11 Lucy's first time at Narnia
Elizabeth meets up with her younger siblings at the back of the Manor. She watched Peter, Susan, and Edmund surround Lucy, curious about the rules for their Hide-n-Seek game.
" There you are, Lizzie! I'm about to tell everyone the rules," Lucy smiled.
Elizabeth approaches her younger siblings and stands between Peter and Lucy.
" So, what are the rules?" Edmund asked, looking curious.
" Okay! The Hiders can hide anywhere from outside to inside the Manor," Lucy held her arms out and twirled.
Elizabeth and Peter smiled at their youngest sister.
" What! Whoever will be the Seeker will take so long to find the Hiders since this place is huge?" Edmund frowned.
" It may sound challenging, but it sounds fun, honestly," Susan smiled.
" Who are you? And what have you done with my sister, who finds childish games a bore?" Edmund asked with a raised eyebrow.
Peter elbows his younger brother, causing him to glare at his older brother.
" Professor Kirke was right. I have to start becoming a child again," Susan confessed.
Elizabeth looked at her younger sister and smiled.
" So, who is going to be the Seeker?" Elizabeth asked.
Peter, Edmund, and Susan stared at their youngest sister.
" Peter is going to be the Seeker!" Lucy looked at her older brother and smiled.
" Me?" Peter looked surprised.
Edmund smirks, finding the game now interesting.
' He will never find me,' He internally says.
" Yes! Lizzie, Susan, Edmund, and I will be the Hiders. Peter, you will be counting to a hundred," Lucy says.
" Okay," Peter nodded.
He turns around and begins to count.
" Let's go!" Edmund shouts, and he starts to run towards the Manor.
Elizabeth, Susan, and Lucy turned and ran towards the Manor. Elizabeth watched Edmund and Susan go their separate ways. Meanwhile, Lucy stayed by her side.
" Want to hide together?" Elizabeth looks at her youngest sister.
" Yeah! And I have the perfect hiding spot!" Lucy smiled.
She grabs her eldest sister's hand, and the two females run towards the foyer and up the stairs to the West Wing.
Elizabeth's eyes blinked when she saw that she and her youngest sister entered the West Wing. She watched her sister open a door, and they entered, seeing the familiar Wardrobe that would take them to Narnia.
" Let's go to Narnia, Lizzie," Lucy says while entering the room with Elizabeth following behind her.
Elizabeth looks at her youngest sister and the Wardrobe with mixed emotions.
" You want to go to Narnia?" She asked.
Lucy nodded, looking at her eldest sister excitedly.
Elizabeth caved when she saw her youngest sister stare at her with puppy-dog eyes.
" Alright. Alright. Let's go to Narnia," She smiled when she saw her youngest sister jump and cheer.
" Yay!" Lucy lets go of her eldest sister's hand, turns around, and runs towards the Wardrobe.
" Wait for me!" Elizabeth firmly says, running after her youngest sister to the Wardrobe.
Lucy opens the Wardrobe and steps inside. She started to walk forward, heard footsteps behind her, and looked back, seeing her eldest sister enter and close the door behind her.
" Lucy. I suggest you stay close to me, okay," Elizabeth walks up to her youngest sister and takes her hand.
Lucy nodded, looking excited to see Narnia in person.
Elizabeth and Lucy walk in the hallway of the Wardrobe. The eldest Pevensie grabbed two warm coats for herself and her youngest sister. She puts on a dark green coat while putting a light brown coat on her sister.
Lucy looked at the light brown coat and smiled. She follows her eldest sister, and she gasped when she started seeing trees covered in snow.
Elizabeth steps out and onto the snowy forest. She looks forward, spotting the familiar lamppost.
" We're here," She smiled.
Lucy looked at her surroundings in awe. She couldn't believe she was in Narnia.
" It's beautiful!" She twirls around Elizabeth and the lamppost.
" It is. But, sadly, Narnia is in an eternal Winter," Elizabeth looked worried.
Lucy stopped twirling and stood beside her eldest sister. She hummed, remembering what Aslan told her about Elizabeth becoming his Empress when the snow melts, and the White Witch gets defeated.
" We need to be careful. The last time I was here. I got attacked by the White Witch's followers," Elizabeth looks at her youngest sister.
" Elizabeth?" A familiar masculine voice calls out.
Elizabeth and Lucy turn, seeing a snow Weasel approach them.
" Bodhi!" Elizabeth smiled, looking happy to see a familiar face.
" It is you!" Bodhi runs towards Elizabeth, looking happy to see her.
Lucy's eyes widened, looking surprised to see Bodhi talk. Even though her eldest sister told her that animals and plant life in Narnia could speak, it still surprised her.
" How long has it been?" Elizabeth asked since she knows the timeline from Narnia and Earth are different.
" It's been a month since we last saw you," Bodhi lifted his head and stood on his two feet.
Lucy looked at Elizabeth with a surprised expression when she heard that it had been a month since her eldest sister came to Narnia since it was only a week on Earth since she was recovering.
" Bodhi? Bodhi!" A familiar masculine voice shouted.
Elizabeth smiled when she heard Tumnus' voice.
Lucy stood behind Elizabeth, hearing an unfamiliar voice. She peaked and saw a real-life Fawn approach them.
Tumnus looks forward and smiles when he sees Elizabeth.
" Lady Elizabeth!" He formally greeted Elizabeth.
" Tumnus!" Elizabeth walks up to Tumnus and hugs him.
Tumus hugs Elizabeth, looking relieved to see her.
" How are you?" He asked after the two let go of each other.
" I'm feeling much better," Elizabeth responded.
" Come. Let's head to my place. You must be starving from your journey here," Tumnus looks at Elizabeth.
" I didn't come alone this time," Elizabeth told Tumnus and Bodhi.
" Who are you with?" They asked.
Elizabeth turns to her youngest sister.
" Bodhi. Tumnus. I would like you two to meet my youngest sister, Lucy Pevensie," She introduced her sister to her dear friends.
" Hello," Lucy greeted and smiled at Tumnus and Bodhi.
Bodhi walks towards Lucy and smells her.
" You are so cute!" Lucy kneels and grabs Bodhi.
" Lu. Be gentle," Elizabeth firmly says, watching Lucy hold Bodhi like a baby.
" Lucy. Meet my dear friends. Bodhi," Elizabeth points to Bodhi in Lucy's embrace. " And Tumnus," She motioned to Tumnus, standing beside them.
" Nice to meet you!" Lucy looks at Bodhi and then at Tumnus.
" It is lovely meeting you, Young Lady Pevensie," Tumnus smiled. " Both of you have the same beautiful smile," He complimented, looking at the two sisters.
Elizabeth and Lucy looked at one another and smiled.
