It had been a week since ember had joined fairy tail. In that short amount of time she had became friend with the many members of the guild. Slowly she began to open up. She was kind and very funny.
She and Natau also bonded, learning about each other. Though there were still many things they didn't know about each other.

It was a sunny day and ember sat inside the guild drinking a margarita. Smiling at the pretty color.
Natsu and the team, who had just picked a mission, walked over to ember.

"Hey want to go a mission with the team?" Natsu asked as he reached her table.

"Sure, what's the mission about?" She asked taking a last sip before putting her glass down with a clink.

"We're going to inspect a mountain which the people say has been smoking and rattling the ground. Our job's to check it out because the locals are to afraid. Even if there isn't anything there we get paid, what do ya say? You coming with us? He said extending his hand to her.

"Let's do it!" She said taking it. He pulled her up from her seat.

"Then pack your bag because we're leaving in an hour."

...

"How much longer?!" Natsu whining as the train swayed. Turning pale to the point in with he looked like a ghost, he curled up in a ball and laid his head into embers lap.

"Just another hour," she said rubbing his head as he groaned. Inside, she to felt sick. Yet she hid it well from the others. Her years on the circus train had made her body more resilient to the motion sickness she endured for the power she possessed.

Finally the train came to the stop.

"Alright I'm fired up for this mission! Let's go!" Natsu said running onto the platform.

"Natsu you forget we arn't there yet. We still have another hour on a wagon to the town." Erza said rubbing her head in frustration as they walked out with their luggage to a waiting wagon.
Slumping in disappointment natsu groaned slightly.
Ember mentally groaned as she and the team climbed on and began the second part of the trip.

...

Though her stomach ached and her migraine was piercing, ember was to fascinated in the scenery to notice. Mountains rose in the distance, colored purple from the setting sun. She watched until it disappeared beyond the horizon.

"We're here," Erza said a the wagon came to a halt. Ember turned around to find a beautiful town bellow an enormous Mountain. Smoke rising from its mouth like chimney.

"We'll check into that inn for the night," Erza said heading for the building labeled "the Poppy inn"

They entered and sat down in the chairs that speckled the lobby.
"They have one room left but I took it. It's a suite but i don't know how big it is," Erza explained on her return.

Opening the door to the room, they were greeted with a bit of a problem. There were 4 beds and 5 people.

"Well...I guess some one's going to have to share," Lucy said glancing nervously around the room.

"I'm fine with sharing," natsu said unfazed. The team, with shock, backed away.

"Like hell I'm sleeping you flame boy!" Grey said backing away from him.

"I have you sleep in my apartment enough" Lucy said moving towards grey.

"We're going to do this fair and square," holding straws in her hands "whoever pick the shortest straw sleep with natsu"

"Hey why arn't you drawing a straw!" Grey said pointing out only three straws.

"Because I'm not" Erza said turning her head so her death glare was clearly visible. Grey shivered and quickly took a straw from her hand. Ember and Lucy followed.
Embers stick was only the size of a tooth pick.

"Then it's settled then. My apologies ember," Erza said placing a hand on her shoulder before heading to her bed.

Heading to the bathroom ember wondered how bad it could be. After changing into a black tank top and shorts, brushing her teeth and braiding her hair she exited the bathroom to head to bed.

The bed was a queen. Which was nice because they could support two people. Ember pulled up the sheets and slipped into bed.

The rest of the team finished getting ready for bed soon after.

"Alright everyone, lights out. We have a big day tomorrow,"
One by one the bedside lamps swished off and the room was filled with darkness.

Natsu and ember faced away from each other. Quickly she began to fall asleep. Before her brain could completely shut off she was reawakened by the shifting of the sheets. Without warning two arms wrapped around her, pulling her to a warm chest. Freezing in place she took in what just happened. Was this what they had been talking about? Though it was a little awkward, it was nice. His body emitted a comfortable warmth. Well it probably wouldn't be comfortable for others because it was more like comfortable heat. But for ember it was wonderful.

Through all the awkwardness it brought her, ember enjoyed this close contact. His arms around her waist, his chest against her back, their entangled legs, and his face in her hair, lulled her in to a pleasant sleep.
