Bang, shing, thud.

Bang, thud, shing.

Shing, bang, thud.

Everything was in red and black, giving off this vibe of fear and adrenaline too fast for the heart. The air was sickly thick, and redstone dust contaminated the air. Sounds vibrated though the area, but it was quiet at the same time.

The underground area was very large, and had several floors in which holes and glass made the others visible. Screens and different types of machinery were placed at different areas in the lair.

At the very bottom of the lair, in the farthest corner, was a body. Her neck, wrists, legs, and stomach were wrapped in chains and connected to a piece in the wall. They were thick and gleamed a deathly silver.

Her dark hair was disheveled, her green eyes shut and bags laid under her eyes. Ripped and torn bandages and clothes covered her scratched, bruised, and bloody body.

Her chest rose up and down, slowly and somewhat painfully as she tried to breathe, the air making it difficult to complete that task.

Thump, thump, thump.

Footsteps pounded on the ground, synchronized as they became louder. A human-like looking figure walked towards the body, twitching until its movements tuned smoother.

Its lips turned into a grin as it bent towards the chained girl, looking at her unconscious body.

"Oh Jesse," it said, faking a hint of sadness. "You thought you could put out the fire, but the thing is; it already spread."

Ehhh I already regret posting this but I promised and this is the only way I'll start to work on it (cause uh pressure)

So yeah, this is the sequel to my other book, "A Spark" so if you haven't read that, don't read this because you won't understand most of it.

Any of you came back from the first book, welcome back :) I'm sorry this came out so late than originally planned but life can really wreck your writing schedule

Updates will be probably be once for every 1-2 weeks or randomly
