"Which way do we go " asks Sirena."I don't know,maybe right?" I say. So mum turns the car right and we speed down the road.i check my mobile 1 and a half bars."keep going I need half a bar." then there's a sickly sound coming from the car.it hurls to a stop.mum pops the petrol cap and gets out."were out" she says frustratingly.i jump out of the car with my backpack.i get out a pen and paper and write on it.:hi,we had to ditch the car,no petrol.-Kate,and co. I leave it on the dashboard and say out loud so everyone can hear."we will have to ditch the car,I think everyone should grab 1 bag " "yeah,we will stick to the road until we have 2 bars." Dad says as he gets out of the car with jake and Sirena following quickly.we walk down the road quickly.i look ahead another small hut.when we reach it I can see its a log cabin with an outdoor bbq area.i rush up to the door and knock on it loudly 7 times.i hear footsteps!"can I he-......." A young lady with bleached hair down to her chest with pearl earrings emerges.

"please you need to get any pets and flee this place."  I interrupt urgently. She looks up road.then she disappears into the house for a minuet.then she comes out holding a cat and wearing a backpack."better get moving.my names Sara by the way" she says."my names Kate,we were camping at lakers point." I say to Sara."oh,that's the place were there's good fish" she says stroking her cat."umm" I hesitate"do you have phone service out here" I ask."yeah,the calls last 15 seconds though" she says."great" I say as I take out my phone and dial triple 0. Ring,ring it picks up."WHAT SERVICE DO YOU REQIER."Says a female voice probably in the 40's."my names Kate and a few friends and my family and I are stranded up black hill valet and there's a bush fire its traveling quite fast"I say quickly."no problem we will send a rescue helicopter so go near a rode. they are on there way now" says the voice."thanks " I say as the call ends. we all run into the middle of the road and keep an eye out. i hope we can get out of this quickly and un harmed.i look both ways.all I see is large tall flames.no cars. i open up my backpack and have a drink.i look up. i can see the sun,must be midday.

i don't see any helicopters though.I  don't know how long they will be. i quickly go into Sara's back yard and retrieve a small water pistol. she says she used to look after orphans. I fill it up and try to squirt it at the fire.it doesn't help at all. I look at at the sky.i can't see anything because now the thick smoke is covering the view."they won't be able to see us!" I say."I might have a flair or something but it's berried in my old stuff." Sara says."ok I will come with you and help you search" I say as Sara and I hurry towards a big red shed.when we get inside there is piles of junk and books.there are old kids toys. Believe it or not but the piles of junk look like ther actually sorted."which one would have the flair or even an alert" I ask.she points towards 3 big piles taller then me at the back."those" she says.i have to climb over some stuff to get to it.i pick up a box and dust it off.kitchen set.nope,I keep searching.i pick up a large box this could be promising.i think as I dust it off. I notice that it's a tent.no.i keep searching.i glance over to Sara she just picked up a bike wheel.

i don't know if these ARE sorted.Vin the first 4 or 5 minuets I find tools,picnic chairs,and even a box of child Lego.i come across a big box."fireworks" I say allowed."they could be useful but keep searching for an orange beaker" Sara says.so I place the box beside me on the floor and keep searching.soccer balls, nope,blanket,nope oh wait it might be fire proof"is this fire proof" I ask Sara."um  yes but after a while it will catch fire." "Ok." I say as I put that on top of the fireworks.cds,nope,old clothes which do not look fire proof.soon I have sorted through the the hole pile.i move on to the next.most of it are kids toys like train tracks and pull toys.the I come across a big red box.it says beaker."gotcha" I say."here pass them and I will go set them up while you take the blanket and place it in a clear area." Sara says."ok" is all I manage to say as I rush out.i lay the blanket down on gravel.i look around.the fire is getting closer.then I see Sara at the other side of the gravel and rash towards her."almost ready" she says.

"shhhhh,listen " I say.i can here a soft swooshing sound with a small engine."its getting closer,get ready" I say.suddenly it's really loud."ok let it go" I instruct. So Sara pushes the launch button and 3 rockets go up.it explodes which pushes some smoke away.i see the chopper slow."again" I yell.she launches a two more and the choper slowly turns.release the beaker " I yell.so Sara turns to the mini platform and fiddles with it.a great big orange strait line light stretches high.the helicopter approaches quickly.it flys over us and slowly lowers itself to the road.i run towards it and a man in orange steps out."are you the one who called?" "Uh,yeah" I say.
