4 weeks later.......
I make regular visits to the hospital and have been in 5 operations so far. School starts in 2 weeks but thankfully mum says that I "...don't have to go " I smile at her. Today I am going to get a devise that will talk for me so I'm in the car traveling with mum to a special place. I text my friends constantly and occasionally they visit. We pull up outside a huge building.  A man by the name of Tom helps us in. "So, your Kate" he says to me. I nod. "Well, I have a special gadget for you here" he hands me a small box. Just attach that to the back of your head and it will fit nicely down the back of your shirt so it will not be visible " I smile as I attach the small wires to my head.i put my hoody over me and I think "thank you " but sound actually comes out.

"Yes that's ok,you can download the app on your device to modify the voice." He shows me the app and I downloaded it immediately I change the voice to a girls and I smile as I say "I really appreciate this Tom thanks" dad collects me as Tom says "no problem Katy,enjoy " I smile back at him.
