Chapter 8

“Evelyn Marty, get your ass up and get ready. We have to be at church soon and you didn’t even help me get ready. Get off that fucking high horse you crawled up on. That boy told you he loved you. You know you love him too. We all see you guys together and well it’s like the way me and Victor look at each other. It’s true love.” Mary tells me as I wipe another tear away.

I had been hiding out here at her house. I went to the game to see him and sat all the way at the top away from everyone. I didn’t want him to see me but he was just wonderful. I got so mad when they checked him and he hit the ice. I was ready to run down into the ice rink. But I remembered he thought I was away.

Damn him for doing this to me. I can’t take it anymore. I miss him and his blue eyes. I miss the goodnight kiss he gives me every night. But now I’m falling apart. Mary thinks it’s so easy to just give him my heart. But I know he will just throw it away when he gets tired of me traveling.

I finally got up and showered. I then put on the dress they picked out for us to wear. I was happy it is a nice light grey color. Very stylish and something I would wear again. It also matched the suit the guys are going to wear today.

“Well come on honey. I can’t wait to get to my Victor and make this thing official.” She tells me and I smile at her. I’m still not sure what I’m going to do. But there is no way I will ruin her special day.

Luke’s POV

Got ready and hopped she would come home. But it seems I will have to meet her at the church. I was getting really antsy as I leaned on the wall just waiting for her to show up. “Well, look here, seems to me that you look more nervous than the grooms do.”  Sergio teased me.

“Man Sergio, this woman has me all wrapped up in knots. I missed her like hell and she hasn’t even called me.” I tell him.

“Listen, little brother Evelyn is a very insecure woman. For some reason or other she needs to be free to travel. I think she’s scared to be in one place for too long. It will take a very special man to put up with that.” I turn to look at him confused.

“I know what her job is. Why would I want her to stop doing what she loves? It is because of her that I’m here. Sex out of the equation, she is one hell of a woman. She sold me with her whole speech about Chicago and the team. I would never dream of taking that away from her.”

“Well then little brother. Seems to me like you have to tell her that not me.” He says pointing over my back. I turn to look and there she was making her way up the stairs. I practically ran to her and picked her up as I kissed her. I poured all my emotions into that kiss.

She hesitated at first then kissed me back. Her passion was equal to mine and I knew that she has to love me too. But there was something holding her back. I had to let her know I want her and all her quirks and needs. Because whatever makes her happy makes me happy.

I pulled back and hugged her tight. “I missed you so much”

“Um, Luke I have to go away in the morning again and I’ll be gone for a week” she tells me.

“I know but you’re here now and that’s all I care about at the moment. Come on lets go inside. I hold her hand and we walk inside. Everyone was waiting in the back as the churched was packed with people. But we had a room in the back where the groom’s men were waiting and on the other side there was a room for the brides.

“So tell me everything how did it go?” I asked her and she blushed.

“Luke, let her go get ready with the girls you can talk to her later” Sergio said pulling me away. I gave her another kiss and watched as she joined the other girls.

Evelyn’s POV

Oh my goodness, holy shit. “I love him” I whispered to myself.

“No kidding Sherlock. It took you long enough to admit it to yourself. Now come help me, finish getting ready.” Reigna said to me.

“You know Jed is worried you are going to break his little brother’s heart. I told him not to worry because you were already head over heels in love. But you were so hard headed that it would take you longer to figure it out. Glad to see I was wrong.”

“Reigna, he will want me to change.” I say.

“Well seems to me you have to talk to him. But tell him what you’re scared of and let it be his call.” I lay on the fake grass carpet as they fussed with their stuff. It seems I have a lot to think about.

Then finally it was time to go line up for the procession. I walked out and Luke was waiting for me. He had already put his suit jacket on and I smiled at him. Damn how the hell did you let yourself fall, I thought.

I stood in front of him and fixed his tie. “I really missed you too.” I said and he bent his head and I meet him half way. We shared a tender kiss before it was time to walk inside.

The ceremony was so nice and long, very long. I kept glancing over at Luke and he kept glancing over at me. For some reason I felt butterflies in my tummy. This was too weird and to new for me. I don’t know if I like it.

When it was finally over we headed for the reception hall. Everyone was so happy. Mom of course cried. She cried at the church as did Aunt Michelle. Now here we are and they are crying again.

Luke’s POV

 “Well do you think now is the time for me to thank your mom?” I asked.

“For what” she looked confused and adorable.

I sighed “don’t you remember I told you I was going to thank her for creating a great pair of.”

“Luke, you better not go and say anything to her” she said as she blushed.

I leaned in and kissed the tip of her nose. “I love when you blush. Now come on lets go dance” I tell her as I lead her to the dance floor. I take advantage of holding her tight and close. I looked around at my new family and saw how in love they all seemed.

Yeah I can relate to them now. I thought as I looked down at the woman in my arms. You my dear Evelyn will hear me out tonight. I was on to her little games. I know that the moment I want to talk to her. She will get naked and distract me, but not tonight. Tonight I will, tame the beast.

“You ready to get out of here? I figured since you will be leaving in the morning. We could spend some quality alone time together.”

“Ok, let’s go say goodbye to everyone” She said and we did just that. I was itching to get her home.

Once we got home she practically tried to claw my clothes off. “Hey hold on a minute. We need to talk first.” I noticed the moment here eyes narrowed. Before we left Sergio asked me to go outside with him. There he proceeded to tell me that his Rose was even more hard headed than my Evelyn.

Turns out he had to tie her up to get her to listen to him. So he gave me some rope and said I was not to let her leave until we talked.  I smirked remembering I threw it in the trunk of the car. “I forgot something in the car.” I tell her and make my way out feeling all excited about the prospect of tying her up.

Evelyn’s POV

Oh hell no, I’m not going to talk to him yet. What I need to do is get naked so he forgets all about talking. Lets’ see if he can say no to this. I think as I strip down leaving only my panties and well. Hmm, I thought as I pulled out a black strip of cloth from my drawer that I use to blind fold him last time. Since he likes my breasts so much, I will give him a peek only.

I heard the door open and closed as he made his way into the bedroom and when he opened the door I was ready for him. I saw his jaw drop and mine followed when I saw the rope in his hands.

“What the fuck is that for?” I asked.
