Chapter3: Friends

"Good luck boys, you'll need it." Both Fang and Eclipse say, winking at them. "Luck? We don't need luck!" Jeramy protested. "Alright, just don't say we didn't warn ya before hand." Fang said slightly shrugging. "C'mon Jer, let's just get in position so we can teach these two a lesson or two." James said warily. The group slip up, James and Jeramy in one group, Fang and Eclipse in the other, as both sides came up with a plan.

About fifteen minutes had passed, both James and Jeramy had already been knocked down by the girls twice, and now were back to back, waiting for them to launch an attack. Fang sprang out of a bush and knocked away Jeramy's sword with her foot, point her daggers at him. While Eclipse took the liberty of allowing James to fight for a few moment, before knocking him to the ground and grabbing his sword pointing it at him along with her own. "Ha! What was that about not needing luck Jeramy?" Fang asked smiling brightly and sheeting her daggers. "Ha ha ha, fine, it could have come in handy, your a lot more skilled than we anticipated." He said, picking up his own sword and sheeting it as well. "Why thank you! We did try our best." Eclipse said, handing James his sword and sheeting hers. "Uh-huh, let's just go into town and see if we can get any jobs to do..." James said, walking a head. "Okay." Jeramy said following him, as both Fang and Eclipse soon followed suit.

When they got back into town, there was a crowd of people in the town square. We walked over, and there was the queen. "What's she doing here?" Eclipse asked the others as they shrugged.

"My loyal people of the kingdom, today, I bring you news." She started. "I am in need of a few sell swords, to fill in for a job." No one looked happy about this. "I was robbed by bandits and I need someone, anyone to vanquish these foes and get the royal gems back." People slowly started to clear out and walk away from the stage the queen was standing on. But the group of four walked forwards and to the base of the stage. "Good day, M'lady, we would gladly help in the retrieving of the royal gems, and clearing out the bandits." Jeramy said, taking a slight bow. "You would do me this favour? Then follow me brave souls, we shall head to my castle and discuss this further." She said leading the four of them to her carriage.

It took them about an hour to get to the castle and by then the queen had told them her name, as well as, them telling her their names. They walked into a huge room, it looked like the strategy room. "So, where are we going queen Passanova?" Eclipse asked curiously. "Claw bare ridge." She said pointing at her map. "Alright, how do we get there? And where are we going to find the gems?" Fang asked. "You'll have to take this road to the west. Then when the road parts, you'll have to take the left road to get to the bandit camp in Claw bare ridge." She said. "And?" "Once there, you have to fight your way to the bandit lord's office. There you'll have to beat him, and get the gems out of his safe and come back here." They nodded their heads. "Alright." James said. "You'll be rewarded well when you return. Good luck, my brave Knights." She said as they all left.

They gathered their things from the hotel and set out on they're travels. They had went west along the road, they had came across a few wolves who tried to attack them, but they had easily fought them off. They had travailed for five hours and it was now night, so they set up camp not to far from the road. "Heh, this is fun so far.... Right guys?" Eclipse asked. The boys shrugged. "Yeah, it is actually, a lot better then sitting in a small out post waiting outside the gates to your village...." Fang sighed and smiled sadly. "Yeah, that sounds boring..... Well... I think we should get some sleep... Who's taking the first shift for tonight?" Jeramy asked. "I'll take first shift, I'm used to staying up late." Fang answered. "Alright, Eclipse you take the next shift, then it'll be myself, then James, and it'll repeat until morning." Jer said.

As the night went on Fang started to become sleepy so she woke up Eclipse and they traded shifts. As Fang slept she could hear the screams of her village echo in her head.

Dream
As she seen the Shadow Huntsmen only as a giant spraying the entire village. Including herself. She watched everyone fall to the ground coughing, and she began to struggle for air as she ran back to her house. She had just made it into her home, as she collapsed onto the ground coughing, she looked in front of her, seeing her bow and arrow. Fang grabbed it and shot two arrows at him, only to then see him disappear. She looked to her left, seeing her parents lying dead in their beds. She began to cough harder and she fell to the ground, as everything went black.

End of Nightmarish dream...

Fang jolted awake gasping for air, only to see Jeramy sitting on the log watching out for enemies. She quietly got up and walked over to him. "Hey Jer......" He looked at her as she sat down besides him. "Oh, hey Fang, what are you doing up?" He asked her. "I had a Bad Dream.... That's all...." Fang said looking at her feet. "Oh, sorry to hear that." Jeramy said rubbing her back lightly. "Jer..?" Fang asked. "Yes?" He asked soothing voice. "Can I have a hug?" She whispered. "Of course you can." He said hugging her close, slowly rocking her back and forth. Fang snuggled up to him and soon fell asleep in his arms. Jeramy sighed and carried Fang back to her bed, gently laying her down and waking up James for his shift. 'Heh, don't worry Fang, no matter what kind of dreams you have, they're not real, and I'll be here for you.' Jeramy thought before falling asleep.
