It was a normal day, the leaves where gently blowing in the breeze, and the rain fell softly onto the ground. For Fang it had been two years since her parents died. She gloomily sat on the stairs leading into her home, her ears drooping and her fluffy fox tail laying motionless on the step. Fang was the last of her kind, everyone of her kin was either killed by the shadow huntsman sent by the king of the human, or stricken by the Serigan Flu. Which is what Fang's parents had been killed by. She sat there and remembered back to the day that they had pasted into the afterlife.

                       Flash back
"Don't worry mom...... Dad..... Your both going to be fine!" Fang said, tears slowly coming into her eyes as she gripped her parents hands tightly into hers. "Fang, do not be sad my child..." Her mother said in a quiet and soothing voice as she lightly rubbed her cheek. "We will be with you always, no matter what happens..." Her father said also, tightening his grip on Fang's hand and smiled. Fang smiled back at her father. "I know you will, I..... I just don't want you to go..." She said, her tears welling up further. "I don't want to be alone....." She said. "Fang, you won't be alone....." Her mother said. "One day, you'll meet more of our kind." Her father continued. "They will come when you need them the most..." The tears started to sting Fang's eyes. "We love you Fang...." Her father said. "I-I love you too, so much..." She said, as her parents lives began to fade. "Be a good girl for us, and be strong..." Her mother said, as they both closed their eyes taking in their last breath. Fang began to cry holding both of their lifeless hands screaming and crying in pain. "No...... I don't want to be alone.... Why did Majj take you away from me...?" She cried softly, as it began to rain outside.

End of Flash back

Fang wiped away her tears from her eyes as she pushed the thought out of her mind. "More of our kind will come..... Right...." She mumbled, she rung out her tail and hair as she walked over to the grand hall. 'Heh.... Not so grand anymore...... What with it being void of life except myself.....' Fang thought. She gathered up some food and took it over to her post by the gate to the village. "Hey, what do ya know, maybe I'll get lucky and today will be the day more of my kin arrive...." She said aloud, as she sat and began to eat.

After a few hours of sitting and waiting, Fang heard a noise coming from the woods behind her. She quickly drew her bow and walked over to the edge of the woods. Then she smelt something. She then realized what she was smelling, she smelt, Him. She quickly gathered her things and rushed back to her home. "No way, it can't be him..... He died a year ago from a bandit raid on the Kings castle!" She said aloud as she gathered somethings and readied her bow she walked out. But nothing was there, all that could be heard was the light drops of rain hitting the houses and ground. She walked warily around bow still ready to be drawn. She looked every where, no sign, nor smell of him anywheres. "I must be losing my mind...." She murmured, and she walked back to her home.

She shut the down and leaned on it sighing. "That's it..... I can't stay here any longer...... I'm sorry mom, sorry dad...... But I have no other choice....." She said as she gathered her most needed valuables and a little coin for her Journey. "I'll be with you all soon..... I'm going to the place where we all go to die....." She left. Fang was heading for Meridium, a place where all Verini's go to die with pride and honour. She left the house for the last time, as she put on her cloak, and she walked out of her village wishing her last goodbyes to her home, and walked along the path leading into human territory. Fang quickly pulled up her hood of her cloak as she saw more people up ahead on the path. She looked down to hide more of her face. "Hey, did you guys hear about the Kings funeral?" One of them said. "Yeah, didn't that happen like, 6 months ago?" The other asked. "Yeah, but, did you hear what the newly placed queen said?" "No....?" "She said this; 'All of the half human half beast creatures are aloud into human territory." "Geez.... Well guess we have to be nice to 'em now huh?" "Yeah..." They didn't seem to notice Fang walk by as she stayed quiet. 'Hmmm..... Perhaps, perhaps the humans have changed.....' She thought but continued on with her head hung low.

Two and a half hours passed as Fang came up on a town, or city, she couldn't really tell. She seen a bar and walked into it seeing lots of people around. Hmph so this is what it's like in public places... Fang thought as she sat down in the far corner of the room. A cheeky women walked up to her. "Hello miss, what can I get for ya?" She asked, a slight, incoherent, accent. "Um..... I have a white wine please...." Fang replied. "Coming right up miss!" She walked away and Fang sat in silence as she patiently, for her wine. Soon she came back with the wine and say it down in front of her. "Here you go miss, that'll two gold." She said, Fang reached for her coin purse when three men two without helm one with, walked up to the table she was seated at. "Here Salva I'll pay for her." He then handed her two gold. "Okay, would you like the usual sir?" He nodded. "Same goes for them two as well." He said. "Alright I'll be right back!" She said cheerfully and walked away as the three men sat down. "What do I owe you?" She asked as Fang grabbed my purse. "Not a thing, except maybe a name and a nice conversation~." He said with almost a purr at the end of his sentence. "Dude don't be a flirt! We just met her!" The other one with out a helm on said. "Heh heh heh, sorry it's just a natural reaction when I see a pretty girl." The one with a helm elbowed him. "Dude what did James just say!?" He began to laugh, as well did Fang. "Ha ha ha, oh your just to sweet, all of you." She said, but as she smiled at looked up at them, she realized their ears, they had fox ears, her smile instantly fades. "What? Did I say something wrong?" Fang shook her head. "N-no you didn't! Heh, oh praise Majj!" I smiled, and the three of them looked at each other confused. "How do you know about Majj?" The one named James questioned. Fang lowered her hood revealing her fox ears as well. "And here I thought I was the last one of us alive." The looked shocked as the stared at her. "My names Fang, nice to meet you." She smiled and stuck out her hand. The one who paid for my wine smiled and shook her hand. "Nice to meet you Fang, this is James, I'm Jeramy but you can call me Jer, and this is Erin." "Sup?" James asked, and Erin just waved. "Well, I'm glad I ran into you, you don't want to know where I was originally planing on going......" Fang's voice trailed off at the end of. "Where were you going?" Erin asked, ignoring what Fang said. "....I was going to Meridium....." They all looked shocked, Fang couldn't tell what Erin's expression was... Cause of his helm.
