The remainder of that day had been nothing short of just bizzare for Alex.

It was clear that what had happened that morning just didn't sit right with him or with anybody at HQ for that matter.

It hurted to know that they were framed and yet no one knows or even wants to attempt to figure it out.

It left Alex and HQ in a defenseless state as they had no choice but to keep quiet and hope that in the coming days that everyone else would find out the truth

It was sunset as Alex sat on the couch looking at the TV which had been left on the news and at this point was just recapping what had happened this morning.

Alex just couldn't fathom the idea that someone framed them by severing one of the partnerships they had.

The only thing Alex couldn't think of was a reason as to why someone would attempt to sabotage them now.

Nonetheless this was gonna be hard to manage.

All Alex could hope for was the best as he got up, turning off the TV and walking to his room as he laid on the bed and sighed to himself as he went to sleep, hoping tomorrow would end up better.

[Meanwhile]

Back in the underground throne room, Father sat in his seat with a smirk on his face.

"Just as I expected. The public's natural hate towards HQ is so massive that they won't even bother to check that they were fake employees. Now that I've severed HQ's strongest connection, it's time that I plan my next action. After all, it's only important that the predatir isolates its prey before striking." Said Father as he chuckled to himself.

It was clear that Father was the one who had sent out the fake HQ workers to go out and kill the Black Jack men.

After going quiet for a bit, Father snapped his fingers as approaching was

Four white, zombie like humanoids with red markings on them.

They approached the throne and theb just stood up seeming to await orders.

"You four. It's time that we move onto the next step. You all did well in faking as HQ men. Everyone had bought into the story and now HQ is down one subordinate. However, there's still one subordinate that remains for HQ. A pesky fly in the sky. Take one of their employees. Do what you must. This all commences tomorrow." Said Father.

The white humanoids groaned in what seemed like acceptance as they all walked away into the shadows as Father smiled.

"Slowly but surely, step by step, the day of reckoning is approaching at a faster pace."

[The Next Day]

The morning was coming to an end as it was approaching noon.

After eating breakfast at his home, Alex had decided to spend time at Black Ops HQ to check on everyone there after the bizzare situation that had happened yesterday.

Once he had walked in, it was safe to say that while everyone was a little less cheerful, it was still the same old happy HQ as it always has been as everyone was chatting amongst their inner circles after giving Alex a greeting.

Alex greeted them all back before spotting Ed and Al and walked over towards them.

"Sup you two." Said Alex.

"O-Oh hey Alex." Cheerfully said Alphonse.

"How's it going?" Said Ed as he munched on a piece of bread.

"About the same. Except for yesterday." He said with a chuckle.

"Tell me about it. For the first time me and Alphonse got disapproving glares yesterday even we had nothing to do with what those fakes did." Said Ed with a slight hint of annoyance.

"Well now you two know what I go through on a daily basis." Said Alex with a smirk as all three laughed a bit at his remark.

Alex sat down and the three close friends began to talk amongst one another just sharing stories and enjoying the other's company.

Overall, the mood in the main hall was cheerful and optimistic.

Then, suddenly on the stage in front of the hall, the microphone went off as tapping it was non other than the Führer's wife, Riza Hawkeye.

"Pardon the intrusion everyone. Um, our Führer, Roy Mustang has a urgent announcement to present to us all. So, please give a warm welcome." Said Riza.

The trio of Alex, Ed, and Al could tell that Riza's voice had a shaky tone so they had that sick feeling in their stomach that this wasn't gonna be a good announcement.

Roy Mustang stood up onto the stageand adjusted the mic until he got it to his liking.

For a moment Roy seemed to struggle to say what he wanted to say until he took a deep breathe.

"Sorry for this sudden announcement everyone, but, it's come to my attention that we've received some urgent news yet again."

Once Roy said that, everyone went quiet as the tension seemingly rose a ton in that moment as the air was palpable.

There was no way a repeat of yesterday could happen again today.

No one wanted to believe it.

Roy looked down before taking another deep sigh.

"Earlier today in the morning, four supposed HQ men, critically injured three young Hyperion Valkyries, one of which is in a coma. Because of this, the Hyperion has also, decided to end its partnership with us, meaning we're on our own again."

In just a matter of moments, the joyful, cheerful air in the hall had been brutally murdered by that one announcement.

"I'll go over the footage and check to see if it was the same fakes posing as us. For now, I truly apologize, but, it's best if we all left HQ early for today. Everyone, pack up your things and head home. I can assure you all that we'll be back here tomorrow. Have a good day everyone."

With that, Roy left the stage as everyone simply got up and began grabbing their items and one by one began to walk home.

As that was happening, Alex stood up and was about to leave until he felt Ed grab his arm.

"Hm? What is it?" He asked.

"Us three need to talk about this at your place." Said Edward as Alphonse nodded his head in agreement.

"Yeah I agree. Come on." He said.

With that, the three men walked out of HQ as Alex had one thought on his mind.

'Someone is just trying to frame HQ. They're trying to terminate it as a whole.'
