Chapter 41: Strange Occurrences
A new day had arrived as the air felt much more chilly than befote as a cold front was here to stay for a few weeks.
Alex yawned and slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes to stay awake.
After a bit he was fully awake as he left his room and went towards the living room ready to eat breakfast.
As he arrived there he saw the usual crowd of his mom Akari and big sis Akame.
Alex however noticed something extrmely odd though.
Sitting next to Akame drinking coffee, was his own father Akira Mustang.
Alex was shocked and wondered if he was still sleeping and in a dream.
"Akame. Slap me very hard please." Asked Alex.
Akame was immediately confused but went ahead and slapped him anyways.
It definitely dazed Alex but when he snapped out of it, he saw that his father was still there.
'What the hell is going on? This feels like a dream, but, it isn't.' He thought to himself.
"You okay there kiddo?" Asked his father. "Bad dream or something?"
"U-Um, yeah." Was all Alex could say.
He didn't get an intimidating or evil feeling from his father like he did the last time he saw him before he killed him.
He felt, nice. Like a normal loving father would act.
Alex decided to go ask Akari about it as she, being the goddess of time, would understand this error in the timeline.
"Hey mom." Said Alex as he whispered into her ear. "Isn't, Akira supposed to be dead?" He asked her to which Akari gave him a shocked stare before chuckling.
"Of course not Alex. Why would you wanna split apart our happy family?" She asked.
"N-No I didn't mean it like that!" He stammered to say.
"Well whatever you meant the answer is no. As you can clearly see your father is alive and well." She said.
Alex sighed as Akari unfortunately couldn't help him out in this situation.
"Hey. Where's Yae? Usually she'd be awake already by this time?" Asked Alex.
"Yae? She's been busy looking after her village and younger sister Yae Rin."
Now that immediately confused Alex as he remembered Yae telling him her past and how her younger sister had been killed as a sacrifice by her own village.
First seeing his father alive, and now hearing about Yae's younger sister somehow being alive just added more to Alex's confusement.
After an awkward breakfast for Alex, he made his way towards HQ to check if anything weird was going on there.
Surely enough there was as he was people there he didn't recognize, some who he knew were dead and yet were still alive somehow, and most shockingly he saw that Bradley was still alive and in charge as well as Edward and Alphonse having their normal bodies back and hanging out with their mother and father.
So many weird things were happening yet Alex didn't know why they hadn't noticed yet.
'Why is everyone being so oblivious to all the weird shit happening around them?'
Before he could rack his brain over this some more, he received a text from Uni and read it to see that she wanted to go onto a date.
Alex immediately accepted just so he could have a nice distraction from whatever was going on.

Alex and Uni had mate it to their late morning cafe date and were just enjoying the other's company and had a couple of small chats here and there.
While Uni was smiling, taking a sip of her coffee, Alex still couldn't get all the weird stuff out of his mind.
'My father's alive. Yae's younger sis is alive. Bradley is alive. And the Elrics' mom is alive. All people who are definitely dead are somehow still alive. Ed and Al have their bodies back even though I just saw them yesterday and they didn't gave them back. Something is wrong. Why doesn't anyone else see that?' He thought to himself until he felt a tap on his shoulder from Uni.
"You okay Alex? Your blaking out." She said.
"I-I'm alright. I'm just, thinking about a few things." He said.
"Well what're thinking off?" She asked before getting a smirk. "Asking me for marriage?" She said with a smirk as Alex just shook his head no.
"I'm kidding. For real though what's on your mind?" She asked.
"Well, I've been noticing and seeing weird things. Seeing people that should be dead and yet are still alive amongst other weird inaccuracies and no one has taken notice about it." He said.
Uni just gave him a confused look as Alex now knew that Uni was also oblivious to the weird things happening.
"Nevermind. Forget I asked." He said as Uni slowly nodded.
"Anyways, thanks for accepting. I really needed this date to help me relax." Said Uni.
"Relax for what?" Asked Alex.
"Well, Kunsil and Blanc need me to babysit their daughter and Rom and Ram because they're taking out his little sister Abelia somewhere for her birthday." She said.
Alex simply said nothing and just nodded as Uni thanked him and bid him farewell as she left.
'Wait. Kunsil told me his sister had died 200 years ago. And since when then did he and Blanc have a daughter!? They would've told me already!? God what is this dream like day I'm having!?'
Alex's mind was going mental now after hearing and seeing so many weird and wrong inaccuracies going on.
After paying the tab, Alex had enough and just decided to spend the remainder of the morning in his room as he made it back to his apartment room and just slept, hoping this time the weird occurrences would end.

It was now the afternoon as Alex had woken up again and hoped that this time he was back to normal.
He walked to the living room hoping to no longer to see his father.
As he was walking, he heard Kaitlyn's voice.
"These beans, are the best!" She said.
Alex chuckled until he heard a voice he not only recognized, but was shocked to hear.
"They're all, perfectly shaped and so shiny." Said a female voice as Alex made it to the living room to see someone who yet again shouldn't be alive.
It was Kallen Kaslana, Kaitlyn's deceased mother.
Alex just didn't understand anything anymore.
Why were all these dead people now just suddenly back to life with no explanation.
More importantly why was he the only one noticing all this.
Akari eventually saw Alex had woken up. "Hey Alex. Come join us."
Alex nodded and walked towards the table.
"Try the sweet black beans! They'll change your life!" Excitedly said Kaitlyn.
"Good afternoon." Said Kallen.
"G-Good afternoon." Replied Alex.
This was just too much especially since he himself had already met Kallen after he had saved Kaitlyn all those months ago.
To see her again and being alive this time was just weird.
"What's up? Not feeling so good?" Asked Kaitlyn nothing Alex blanking out.
"He's been like this since the morning." Said Akira as he walked into the living room.
"Morning Akira." Said Kallen.
The four started to talk amongst one another leaving Alex just even more confused as he went and sat on the couch.
'Something is definitely very wrong here.' He thought to himself. 'Both my father and Kallen aren't suppord to be here with us. Hell they aren't supposed to even know each other. This is more than just a dream. What the hell is happening?'
Suddenly, the door opened to reveal another guest.
'O-Otto!? The hell is he doing here?' Thought Alex, wondering if he was behind all this.
Otto looked at the table and for a split second, Alex swore he saw Otto give a look of disbelief before gaining a neutral expression.
"O-Otto. Sorry for not bringing you along." Said Kallen as the blonde man simply smiled as he spoke.
"No worries. I merely wished to speak with Alex for a moment."
