Introduction

Clank.

The metal gate of the dungeon opens loudly, the noise echoing off the stone walls. The soon-to-be queen strolled through the gates, shutting them as quietly as possible behind her. Herobrine would be pleased. He was in control of the armies after all.

Syncrasis slowly advanced through the dungeon, her eyes focused on the huge object in front of her. The very object she had been working towards, the very object she needed to complete everything she had always dreamed.

The object let out a deep, grumbling noise that sounded from its belly. Huge, it was a crimson red colour, with a pale peach coloured armoured stomach, and a large tail, with spines as huge as spears poking out of it menacingly. Its wings were large, and looked like they were torn. It's teeth were massive, as big as your arm. And as is opened its piercing golden eyes, anyone within its sight would freeze in terror of a beast so massive, so fearsome.

But not Syncrasis. This dragon was hers to command.

The dragon had no name. Lord Herobrine took to calling it the Red Demon. Israphel simply called it "The Red Dragon". Syncrasis thought differently. A beast of this size, and of this magnificence did not need to be labelled with a name. It was not a toy, not a pet. It was not owned. She was here, yes, to come and command the dragon. But it did not have to follow her instructions and she knew it could kill her right here right now.

But she knew it wouldn't.

Inside its teeth, was the liquid metal of a golden desert eagle bullet. The same energy that could kill an immortal was stored as a venom that could be injected into a demigod and they would die straight away.

Syncrasis paused, gazing at the dragon for a while. Its eyes were twice as large as her head. The narrow slits it had stared at her wearily as it awakened from its deep slumber. It growled, but not threateningly. It didn't need to.

She stopped when she had reached its head, and she extended one arm out, stroking the nose of it. The dragon continued to stare at her, occasionally letting out a huge gust of air that nearly blew her backwards each time.

"You will be useful for the war" she muses, patting it gently. The dragon lets out what sounds like a grumble of agreement, sitting up and revealing its full size. It was the height of a school, and it's length was the size of half a football pitch.

"I'm glad you are pleased, Queen Syncrasis" a voice commented eagerly. The mad scientist stepped out from the shadows, a pristine white lab coat fluttering in the shadows like a cape.

"It is indeed impressive. What else can you do?" she asks curiously, staring intently at the dragon as it yawned, revealing the rows of arm-length teeth.

"Whatever you desire. Of course, now that dragons now exist, I can clone this one, and...update it?" he suggests. The demigod girl frowns uncertainly, glancing at the scientist.

"What do you mean...'update' it?" she questions, taking in the clipboard he was hugging in his arms with various scribbles on them.

"Well, if this dragon needs to be improved in any way, I should be able to find out how to install some new weapons and abilities that could inevitably make it immortal" he grins, his blue eyes sparkling with excitement of the thought of a new experiment. He took his goggles off, balancing them on his long, messy blonde hair.

"Is it immortal?" she murmurs, averting her gaze back to the beast in front of her.

"We are running tests now, your Highness." he confirms after a few silent seconds.

"Thank you Duncan. You may return to your lab" Kaz smiles, before briskly marching away. The scientist bows, even though she cannot see him, before running back into his lab. He smirked.

He could play two demigods at once. And, oh, how he liked playing games.
