"Sensei Lawrence taught me not to judge a situation without asking for context. I've done things I'm not proud of, but I would never turn my back on a friend."

"I just hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive Luna and show her some mercy. I'm sure there is more to it..."

Miguel's words kept replaying through (Y/N)'s head over and over again. At the time she was temperamental, she paid little to no attention to his input. After some time to reflect, she headed out as Sparrow that very night, reminiscing her fun moments with Luna.

Her love for Mitch and little crush on Johnny. Her kindness and generosity. The weird colours on her hair she'd maintained. And let's not forget the crocs and Betsey Johnson's.

Walking out the back entrance, she took a good look around the complex, hoping no one would notice her.

After a few possible conclusions she'd drawn with little to no evidence, it was time to confront Xander and Terry. Face to face. Her suspicion was still on Xander, allegedly having stolen her papers.

In an effort to retrieve them, she was determined to have it her way. At any cost. With no mercy.

As she crept past her initial route, she caught a man's eye. His silhouette, lingering amongst the darkness, blending with the quiet atmosphere over at the abandoned parking lot. Attempting to get a good look, she walked forward, further with her mark on and body fully covered.

"What are you looking at?" she demanded, crossing her arms and waiting for an answer.

No answer.

A split second later, her attention was diverted to the breaking of glass. Her eyes darted over to that bag, tracing their way to the pair of legs next to it. She proceeded to trace past the lower half to the upper half of this person's body. And finally, she came face to face.

Miguel.

"Shit" she huffed.

"HEY!" he called out. "Aren't you that same thief?"

Miguel ditched the bag he had carried, demolishing it's contents and headed straight for (Y/N) in her Sparrow persona. (Y/N) dashed as fast as she could, jumping, cartwheeling and backflipping over anything that was in her way. She made her way round the corner of a block in Reseda, just past the complex.

She was cornered, however. This was the corner where bins are stored. There was no way out. As (Y/N) reached for the bin to stand on top of it, Miguel's sudden speed caught up, spinning her into a semi-circle to face him. (Y/N) swiftly kicked his inner thigh to begin with. - The same way she did the night they fought.

She front kicked his chest to keep him distracted with great distance between themselves. She once again knew, letting her guard down would be a huge mistake. With another jab to Miguel's chest, (Y/N) was suddenly pulled in, switching places with Miguel. He didn't want to hurt her. But he definitely needed answers. This was where Miguel showed no mercy.

She stepped back, tripping over stray trash that had been carelessly lying around. Miguel's body hovered over her.

"I got you now. What the fuck were you doing, stealing from (Y/N)'s apartment?"

(Y/N) looked around to see if she could get away. She pointed to the sky behind Miguel, indicating he should watch out. As his attention diverted away from her for a split second, she successfully performed a cartwheel and ran for it without a second thought.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?!" he exclaimed.

He ran right after (Y/N)'s persona, tracing her steps and coming up with multiple possibilities that would support his goal.

As he saw the last of (Y/N)'s persona before she disappeared completely, he looked over to the floor. It looked like she had dropped something before leaving. A clue. Miguel picked it up and kept it in his pocket, hoping to make sense of what had just happened. And to find out who this thief was.

"What is this?" he asked himself.

He examined the object he'd just picked up. A locket. The piece glistened right under the moon. This locket had a hypnotic effect on him, increasing the curiosity in him. He slowly opened the locket to find a picture of a man holding his baby. Presumably, the girl in the picture was his daughter.

Closing the locket, his expression turned rather cold and aloof. What about that picture could possibly have made him feel this way? Miguel didn't know what to think. However, the only option he had was to keep his cool until he got some answers.

Upon her return, (Y/N) slowly crept back into her apartment. It had seemed like Terry was busy, indicating how impossible it was for her to retrieve the papers. She'd have to confront him herself. Almost like she'd have to drop a bomb in order for him to notice her.

As she was about to open the door, it creaked. Loud. She tip-toed her way in as discreetly as possible, only to find the lights had automatically been turned on.

"I knew you'd come here" a voice scoffed.

"Shit" she huffed.

She headed for the door again, keeping her distance from Miguel. He was under the impression that she was back to steal. Of course Miguel would think that.

As she ran out the complex, Miguel followed. He reached out to her, only to find his grip made it to her jacket. He yanked it off, eventually revealing the plain black shirt she'd worn. She successfully performed a spin kick, sending him flying back inside the apartment and made a run for it.

"STOP!" Miguel protested. "I have something that belongs to you. If you want it back, show yourself"

She observed his hand, holding the locket she had dropped. Unable to remember, (Y/N) shuffled through all her pockets as best as she could.

"I recognise this man. And I'll tell you what I know if you show yourself" he offered, walking closer to her.

She didn't put up a fight this time round. Picking up the jacket he yanked off, she still managed to stand her guard, in case Miguel tried anything funny with her. Her hand motioned to the crook of her neck, indicating she was going to reveal herself.

Miguel waited patiently for her next move, until she looked for an escape above his head. jumped right in front of him, promptly climbing the pole closest to her. Miguel rushed to pull her down. After he successfully reached for her, (Y/N) found herself on top of him as their faces were inches closer.

"Wait... that scent" he frowned. "I recognise that scent"

(Y/N) gasped, punching him square in the face. The effect left him temporarily unconscious. The last thing he saw was her silhouette leaving the buildings.

As she hurriedly rushed back to her apartment, she made every attempt possible to change her appearance to avoid suspicion from Miguel. A quick soak in the tub, (Y/N) coated herself in various fragrances and rushed downstairs to grab Miguel.

She dragged him inside, placing him on her couch. Still unconscious, it was fortunate that Miguel was breathing. (Y/N) inhaled deeply and sprinkled water on his face in an effort to wake him up.

"Hey..." she whispered.

Miguel's eyes fluttered open, slowly taking in his surroundings. He groaned, rubbing his temples and found his nose was bleeding. Luckily for him, it wasn't broken.

"You got beat up pretty bad" (Y/N) frowned, observing the blood trickling down his nose.

She placed a damp towel over it, treating him very carefully.

"Where were you?" he asked, curious.

"Bathroom, Miguel. Did you let yourself in?" she lied.

"No, there was someone trying to break in. Look what she left behind" he winced while (Y/N) cleaned up the remaining excess blood on his face.

Leaning closer to his face, (Y/N) pecked his lips, assuring him that he was perfectly fine. She stroked his hair as his head was now on her lap. She took the locket from him, opening it up to see the picture inside. The expressions on her face changed. Miguel adjusted his position to directly face her as he noticed the change.

"(Y/N) do you know these people?" he asked.

She gulped and simply shook her head, shocked at herself for leaving a trail behind. Her paranoia got the best of her. It would only be a matter of time till Miguel found out about her persona. And everything else.

'Knock knock knock!'

"Does your mum know I'm here?" (Y/N) questioned, glancing at Miguel who pecked her on the lips before answering her question.

"Love you" he smiled.

"Love you too, babe" she whispered, gently caressing his cheek with her thumb.

He followed her to the door with his hand tightly snaked around her hip. As she opened the door, she noticed a familiar presence standing at her doorstep.

"What the hell are you doing here?" she scoffed.
