Kai's POV

We have just arrived at the outskirts of the city. This was where the houses were broken and old, and the pavement had cracks along it. And unfortunately for Lloyd, this is also the area that held Trini's currant home.

His attitude had changed as we passed the worn out houses. It went from impatiently trying to get us to move faster, to depressed and uncooperative.

I shifted my gaze towards him. His head was lowered and his eyes were glued to the broken concrete road.

I felt bad for him. First his father and then Trini. Even though I never really got to know her very well, I could tell that he did know her better than any of us, and felt her betrayal more than any of us.

After a half an hour of walking, the landscape and architecture of the buildings began to become more modern. The familiar billboards shone brightly as tall skyscrapers clouded the skys.

Once again, Lloyds attitude suddenly changed. But this time it was from depressed to overly pushy.

"Come on guys!" He said.

"Lloyd i swear to god!" Cole threatened.

"Look! I can see the high school!" He continued to hype.

"Lloyd" I warned him.

"We're almost ther-"

"LLOYD!" We all yelled at him whilst giving him an evil look.

Lloyd jumped at our sudden outburst. He smiled sheepishly at us as we all continued to glare at him. He had it coming though, even Coles evil glance wouldn't shut him up anymore.

My feet are aching so much, we had been walking all day and I could finally see the high school at the bottom of the busy road. As we were walking down the hill, every random bystander looked at us with confused faces.

"Ummm..... guys?" Seliel asked, looking kinda embarrassed.

"Yeah?" Cole answered, while everyone else turned to look at her.

"Have you realised that we're wearing our brightly coloured ninja gi's in the centre of the city?" She said avoiding any outsiders eye contact.

"Ummmm.... There's only one way to solve this" Jay said also looking sorta embarrassed as well, "Last one to the high school is a rotted egg!" He shouted, and took off running towards the school. I ran after him, my competitive ego fueling my energy. I too felt kinda embarrassed about my choice of clothing and wanted to get off the streets to ASAP. Everyone followed, probably not wanting to be out in the streets in their gi's either. But now we looked even more stupid and embarrassing.

As we arrived at the high school, I studied the frame of the building, deep in though, trying to imagine what life would be like if me and Nya hadn't transferred here. It would have definitely been less fun.

"Judging by the time of day," Zane said, stroking his chin, "I anticipate it's during last lesson."

"So everyone's still in class?" Jay asked.

"No, everyone is wandering the streets of The City. Of COURSE there still in lesson!" Cole replied sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

"Okay, so what now?" Skylor asked. "Do we go to Sensi Wu? Or go straight home?"

"WE GO TO SENSI WU! HAVE YOU NOT BEEN LISTENING TO ME?!" Lloyd yelled at her.

Skylor's eyes widened with a look of fear plastered upon her face.

"Lloyd! Calm down, there's no need to shout at her" Nya said folding her arms.

Lloyd took a deep breath and massaged his temples.

"Your right, I'm sorry Skylor...." Lloyd said really quietly.

"Sorry What was that? I didn't hear you" I smirked, trying to annoy him some more.

"I said I'm sorry" he purposely mumbled.

"Still not hearing you" Cole shrugged, playing along with my little game. Lloyd rolled his eyes.

"I said I'm SORRY!" He yelled.

"Apology accepted" Skylor groaned, rubbing her ears.

~~~Time Skip~~~

"I see you all have successfully been gifted with your own elemental powers." Sensi said calmly as we entered his office.

"How did you know?" Jay gaped.

"I can sense the presence of a greater good" He explained. "That and you are all wearing your gi's, which I know for a fact nephew, you left behind in your room"

"Oh, I thought you had psychic powers!" Jay exclaimed enthusiastically.

"Sadly not....." He said, glancing around the room of teenagers until his eyes landed upon Skylor. "Ahhhhh, you must be one of the newest members, for you weren't here on our last meeting."

"Yeah, I'm the ninth one" Skylor said awkwardly.

"Nephew, how come I only count nine? You assured me you found all ten of the elemental masters" He said, looking at each of us in turn.

Lloyd looked away from his uncle and sighed.

"You see Sensi Wu, we thought we did, but it turned out Trini was just a spy" I spoke up for Lloyd.

"I see....." Sensi answered stroking his beard.

"Uncle?" Lloyd asked, turning back to face him, "After Trini betrayed us, she told me to ask you to teach us the way of the ninja, and ummm....... Become Spinjitzu masters"

Sensi's eyes widened at the mention of the word Spinjitzu. I raised an unseen eyebrow at him.

"Well, this um.... Trini, was right about one thing." Sensi Wu said, standing up from his chair. "If there is any chance of you ten defeating my brother, you must learn Spinjitzu, and quickly"

"Wait what do you mean ten? Weren't you listening to the part where Trini betrayed us?" Seliel said folding her arms. "There are only nine of us now"

"Are you sure about that?" He answered slowly.

"Egh! Sensi I hate riddles" Jay complained. "Hey! Wait, how did you know it was your brother?"

"Only time will tell, your training to become a Spinjitzu master begins tomorrow, 6 o'clock sharp on the football field" He said, ushering is out of his office. "Now if you please, I have a lot of work to finish so you best be on your way home"

Once we were all outside his office, his door closed shut. I shrugged, not really sure what to make of that short meeting.

"So what now?" Cole asked us as we made our way to the front of the school building. "I suggest we go to the cake shop again!"

"I would love to, but I told my mum I would be home after a few days, and considering the time sped up in the caves of truth by a week, I'm pretty sure she's gonna be pretty pissed at me" Seliel said, kissing Cole on the cheek before walking in the direction of her home. "Bye everyone! That was one heck of an adventure we had, I'm glad I spent it with you guys"

"Wait up Seliel, I'm walking in that way to, we can walk together!" Pixal shouted after her and ran to catch up to her, "See you guys tomorrow, 6 o'clock sharp remember"

The two girls disappeared inside a crowd of people.

"I gotta go to, see you guys tomorrow" Skylor said walking off north, probably towards her fathers noodle shop. I watched her walk away, why didn't I ask her to the dance? I thought.

"I'm up for a slice of cake" Jay nodded.

"Me too" Zane said, taking out some money from his wallet.

"Same, Kai? Nya? You guys coming?" Lloyd said.

"I would, but I'm so tired, I'll  catch up to you guys tomorrow on the football field" Nya said, picking up her stuff from the floor where we dumped it earlier before entering the school.

"Okay Nya, Kai?"

"Sorry guys, but I can't leave my baby sis alone in the apartment" I said giving Nya a head nuggy.

"I'm only two years younger than you!" Nya complained.

I chuckled at her annoyed face. We said our goodbyes to the guys and made our way back to our apartment. One the way though, Nya started asking annoying question.

"So Kai? Did you ask anyone to the dance?" She grinned mischievously at me. I know exactly what she was implying.

"No I didn't ask Skylor to the dance if that's what your asking" I sighed.

"What!? Why not!?" She shouted at me.

"There wasn't a good time to do so" I shrugged.

"But, your gonna ask her, right?" She asked.

"I'm not sure, what if she hates me? And what if Morro wants to beat me up?"

"Hold it! Since when are you a) afraid of getting in a fight, and b) scared if a girl doesn't like you?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know, she's different" I sighed, "Anyway, what about you? Did Jay finally ask you?"

"Yeah" She said dreamily. I rolled my eyes and tried to keep my overprotective genes down and out of sight as we arrived outside of my apartment building.

Okay, firstly sorry for the rushed chapter. I just had to get one out before tomorrow.

Secondly, I WON THE BET!!!!!! Yayayayyayayayay!!!!!!! My friends are really mad at me tho. OH WELL!!! I won!!

Thirdly, sorry for this chapter coming out late. It's because I kinda forgot my username and password so I had to try and remember it. And by the time I'd remembered it, I was already three days late to update this chapter. Sorry about that!! 😁😇
