Right, almost done the "dance" chapters, one more to go after this! YAY!

Anyway...... KAILOR TIME!!!

Kai's POV

Ugh.... Jay really knows how to get on someone's nerves.

So, what'cha think?" He said doing the moon walk into our small kitchen where we were waiting for the girls.

"Really? This has to be the tenth time you've shown us your outfit and asked our opinion just today" I groaned.

"And the tenth time we've said you look fine" Cole also groaned, following along with the trend.

"I'm starting to think your just fishing for complements now" Zane sighed adjusting his white bow tie in the mirror.

"Well I'm sorry for being optimistic" Jay huffed, crossing his arms. Zane gave him a questionable look.

"Being optimistic has nothing to do with you constantly asking us how you look. So by my calculations, that was a horrific comeback"

"Ohhhhhh, you just got burned!" I said bursting with laughter. "Pun intended"

"I'm sorry hothead, but how am I supposed to get 'burned' by the Master of ice?! It doesn't make sense!" I stopped laughing out of pure shock. Jay said something smart?!

"Since when did you become logical? And on a scarier note, when did you become smart?" I asked, voicing the thoughts in my head. He glared at me and shrunk down on the small sofa.

"Ha, ha very funny" He replies monotonously.

~~~Time Skip~~~

"Tell me again why we had to rent a limo?" Seliel sighed. "Couldn't we just have walked? It was only 10 minutes away"

Got to admit, she does have a point.

"High School Dances are the only chance you gonna get to go by style and ride in a limo" Jay said, looking back at our ride as it made its way out of the school parking lot.

"What use is style when no one is around to see you arrive in it?" I grumbled, crossing his arms and huffing in annoyance.

I didn't really notice Cole acting different until Zane asked him if everything was okay. He weirdly sniffed the air, like a dog searching for food, as a massive hyperactive smile grew on his face.

"Oh no..." Seliel whisperd as I raised an eyebrow.

"I.... smell..... CAKE!!!!!" He said, his voice growing in excitement at every word, before he darted off inside the school leaving all us behind with confused looks.

"I swear he can smell like an animal" Seliel sighed before also darting inside to catch up with Cole who had already vanished. "COLE GET YOUR BUTT BACK HERE" Seliel shouted before also vanishing into the high school.

"Well that was-"

"Weird, crazy, unexpected? Take your pick" I cut Jay off mid sentence.

"I was gonna say strange, but any of them works to" Jay shrugged.

We all wandered silently into the school, payed for our tickets and entered the gym.

I immediately cut off from my friends and slowly made my way to the bleachers, the place were dateless people go. I sat down and sighed drearily. My friends had told me about Skylor going with Morro. I just don't get it, I'm never scared to ask a girl out to a stupid dance, so what made Skylor any different?

Who am I kidding, Skylor was different. She wasn't like any other girl I'd ever met. Not in a bad way, bare in mind, just different in a way that maybe I didn't deserve her, an that's saying a lot considering the size of my ego.

I don't really know how long I'd been sulking for, but my streak of it was broken when Seliel sat down angrily next to me.

"Hi?" I said, but judging by the tone of my voice, it proberly sounded more like a question than a statement.

"Hi" She grumbled back.

"Errr- you okay?" I asked hesitantly, unsure of what else to say.

"It's just Cole and his stupid addiction to cake! He's completely ignoring me, I mean, what's the point of going to the dance with someone if there not gonna even DANCE with you?"

Wow, girl problems....... shit, what do I do?! I need Nya. Wait no, could get up and walk away? No, she'd proberly follow after me. Wait, maybe change the subject? But maybe link it to her problems. But what if she catches the fact I'm trying to change the subject? Oh, man! Where's Nya when you need her?!

So out of sear panic, I did what I do best: Talk about myself.

"At least he had the courage to ask you, I kept chickening out and now it's to late and Skylor's already taken. To be honest though, I doubt she'd say yes even if I had asked her" I groaned in response, resting his head on his hands.

"You know, when me and the girls were getting ready, Skylor told me that she's wished you'd asked her and not Morro"

My head perked up at that. Skylor wanted me to ask her? Hah hah! I knew changing the subject would work!

"Really? She said that?" I asked. She nodded in response. "Oh my God, I've- I've got find her!" I said standing.

"Go get her Romeo!" Seliel laughed.

"Thanks Seliel" I smiled before adding "oh, and about the Cole thing, you just gotta talk to him and make sure he knows your upset"

Hah killed two birds in one shot. Gave great advise and got some interesting news.

Just before leaving to find Skylor, I saw Nya striding her way over. So now she comes over? Where was she a few minutes ago? Whatever, I gotta find Skylor.

I pushed my way through the crowds until my eyes landed on the girl in question, alone. I guess Morro must of gone to get drinks.

Skylor was facing away from me, but I could tell it was her. Her red hair was a dead give away.

"Skylor!" I shouted. Hearing her name she turned to face me.

"Kai?" She said in a confused tone "Did something happen?"

"Skylor...." i said, taking both her hands in mine and looking deep into her eyes "Skylor, i-"

"HEY!" A cold voice shouted from behind me. I slowly turned around to face Morro. "What the hell do you think your doing?"

"Talking to Skylor, you got a problem with that?" I shouted back.

"Look, I know who you are, your the new kid who hangs outs with my idiot of a brother and his dumb-ass friends so unless you don't want anything happening to them, Back. Off" He said, his voice going intimidatingly low.

"You don't scare me Morro" I said putting on my best 'I'm not scared' face.

"Oh yeah? I also happen to know you have a sweet, innocent, baby sister. God forbid anything happens to her" He said taking a step closer for good measure.

That comment really started to brew the anger within me, and I didn't hold back from showing it on my face.

"Ohhhh, looks like I've found a weak spot, maybe I'll go see where she is, you know, to 'check up' on her, you wouldn't m-" that's all he managed to say before I let a jaw breaking punch loose on his face. He stumbled back a few paces.

By now, most of the couples surrounding us had stopped dancing and taken an interest in the scene.

"You dick! Your gonna pay for that!" Morro screamed and lunged for me. He tackled me to the ground and started throwing some brutal punches. But I wasn't completely helpless, for I managed to land a quite a few as well, thanks to my brief training as a ninja.

I don't know how long we were fighting for, but I vaguely remember Cole telling Jay to grab me, but I was too strong for him.

"Get off me Jay!" I shouted. "This Jerk is gonna pay!"

I lunged for Morro again but another pair of arms grabbed me.

"Let me help" A familiar voice says from behind Jay. Jay jerked around to see Lloyd standing in a black tuxedo with a vibrant green tie.

With the combined strength of Lloyd and Jay, they were able to drag me away from Morro.

"Where've you been?" Jay asked Lloyd as they continued to drag me out towards the back exit.

"Let me go! I have to teach that idiot a lesson" I growled in hope they'll let me go. They both completely ignored me as I relentlessly tried to brake free of there grasp.

"Finding the truth" Lloyd said answering Jays question. They used there backs to push open the doors and yanked me through them.

"Care to elaborate?" Jay asked, I'd pretty much given up hope of them letting me go, but I still struggled in there grasp.

"I'll tell you when everyone else is here" He answered, sighing as they dumped my body on the steps and sat either side of me. I groaned and angrily stared off into the dark night sky.

"So...... Are you gonna explain why you were fighting with Morro?" Jay asked. I was so not in the mood for his stupid remarks so I gave him a death glare. "Never mind" he said recoiling.

The doors suddenly swung open, making a loud banging noise as they collided with the wall.

"KAI SMITH! What in God's name persuaded you to beat up Morro!?" Someone shouted from behind us. Jay and Lloyd turned around to see who it was, but I already knew exactly who it was.

"Uh oh...." I whisper under his breath.

"Good luck bro" Lloyd said, taking the hint that Nya wanted to be alone with me. Jay followed after him.

"Try not to kill him" I heard him say as he passed Nya.

"No promises" I heard her growl under her breath.

The two doors closed after Lloyd and Jay and I heard Nya steps getting closer to me. She sat down to my left and immediately wrapped her arms around my neck and squished me into a hug. Her body shook slightly as she started to sob.

"Kai, your s-such an i-idiot" her voice said shakily.

"I know.... I'm sorry" I answered.

She pulled away from the hug and carefully wiped her eyes, being careful not to smudge her makeup.

"Seriously though, why did you fight Morro? Was it because Skylor went with him and not you?"

"No... Well partly because of that.... but he was also threatening you, and I can't have my baby sister being threatened" I replied.

"How many times do I gotta tell you Kai? I'm 16 now, I can look after myself" Nya giggled.

"Well, to me, you'll always be my baby sister!" I laughed and started to tickle her. She squealed and jumped up from the steps and got into a fighting stance. "Ohhh, you wanna do this like ninja huh?" I said and also got into a fighting stance.

Me and Nya stood there for a good few minutes, trying to hold our best serious faces before bursting into laughter and falling in the ground because we were laughing to much.

"Mind if I interrupt?" A small feminine voice said from the door once mine and Nya's laughter had dyed down.

"Sure, I was just about to see where Jay was anyway. See ya bro" Nya said quickly and made a hasted exit -or should I say entrance- to the school.

I sat back down on the steps and waited for Skylor to sit next to me. She did and sighed heavily.

"So...." She started awkwardly, twiddling her thumbs.

"So...." I mimicked quickly.

"I'm sorry...." We both said at the same time.

"What?" We said simultaneously again before chuckling nervously.

"So what now?" Skylor asked.

"I don't know" I answered with complete honesty. "But I do know this-" I said standing up and pulling her up with me "-I really like you Skylor, more then any other girl I've ever met, and...... I wish I could go back in time and just man up and ask you to this goddamm dance because it would've caused a lot less drama tha-"

"Oh, shut up" Skylor said stepping closer on her tiptoes and pressed her lips to mine. At first it was just a touch, a gentle brush but fireworks exploded inside me. Her arms wrapped around my neck and combed through my hair, and for the first time, I didn't mind someone messing with it. My hands fell to her hips and pulled her body closer to mine.

We pulled away at the sound of the school speaker.

"Would everyone please make there way to the main hall, it's time to announce who's the King and Queen of tonight dance!!"

"Skylor?" I asked taking her hand again "will you go to the dance with me?"

She smiled and nodded.

"I'd love to"

We linked arms and made our way into the gym. After a few minutes of trying to locate our friends, we spotted them and pushed our way through the crowds towards them, just as Sensi was announcing the winner. But a sharp scream prevented him from doing so.

"THE OVERLORD!!"

A loud explosion sounded from outside as the entire school body started to panic and run out of the school.

At this point me and Skylor has made our way over to our friends and we each gave each other knowing looks. Then we simultaneously glanced to Sensi who was looking at us and nodded.

"The final battle has begun...."

Four down, one more to go. Phew......

Also, I'm sorry for not updating a lot recently, it's just my friends have had a lot more than there fair share of drama recently and I've tried to be there for them, but in doing so, I haven't had much time to write my chapters because of it. But, I should be able to get back into the rhythm of it soon.

I also just wanna quickly thank Amy4Walker for reminding me to update, because I honestly forgot with all my friends drama. So please go follow her. And if anyone else told me to update, then thank you too because I forget things soooooo easily.
