Nya's POV

I stood in front of my mirror.

I was wearing a light green dress that cut off at my knees and a silky green piece of ribbon tied around my waist made to look like a bow and around the hem was a sparkling lacy collar.

I sighed, let's just say that green was NOT my colour. It suits some people, like Lloyd for example, but on me, it was just wrong.

I stripped off the dress and chucked it back in my wardrobe before putting on my PJ's and storming into mine and my brothers small kitchen. I slumped in my chair and groaned. The dance was in less that 5 hours and I still didn't have anything to wear.

I heard a door creak open and soon after Kai appeared in a black suit and red tie.

"So, what'cha think?" He asked brushing down his front.

"You look..." I thought for a moment "adequate"

"Thanks, way to kill off my confidence" He said walking past me and grabbing a snack out of the cupboard.

"Confidence? Ohhhhh, confidence to ask Skylor to the dance!" I laughed. He still hadn't popped the question and subsequently going solo.

"Heh, maybe" he chuckled nervously, "Anyway, whats up with you?"

"I haven't got the dress" I groaned.

"The dress? Don't you mean a dress?"

"No, I meant the dress, you know, the one that when you see you automatically know that's your dress." I sighed.

"Oh, well why don't you go see if Seliel, Skylor or Pixal has a dress for you?" Kai suggested.

That's actually not a bad idea. I grabbed my phone and set up a chat with me and the girls.

Nya: MAJOR EMERGENCY!!! I can't find the dress!!!! 😰😰

Seliel: OMG!!! Me neither!! Help!!

Skylor: Forget the dress, I haven't even got a dress 😳

Pixal: Meet at the mall in 10 minuets?

Nya: I'll be there.

Skylor: Ditto

Seliel: See ya there.

I ran back into my room and chucked on a pair of jeans and a hoodie. I picked up my side bag containing my purse, a loose bit of change and bus ticket.

"Kai! I'm just going to the mall with the girls, see ya later!" I called and headed for the door.

"Hope you find the dress!" He shouted after me before I closed the front door.

~~~Time Skip~~~

Upon arriving at the mall, I immediately saw a head full of pink hair and another full of red and a third full of silver. I never really noticed how unique their hair colours were.

"Hey guys!" I said giving each of them each a small hug.

"Hello Nya" Pixal answered.

"Okay, we have just less than 5 hours till the dance, let's move people! The perfect dress is just around the corner, I can feel it!" Seliel said dumping her empty slushy in a nearby bin.

We walked into the mall and was immediately struck with a dilemma. Do we go to the posh and stylish shop, or the quirky and unique shop.

"So, where to first?" I asked.

"Ooooooh, that one- no! That one, actually that one. Scratch that, let's go to that one!" Seliel excitedly ran over to a shop with three dresses in the front window. One being black with a lacy over print, the next was a short white dress with sparkling transparent jewels around the hem and trailing down the arms. The last was a strapless deep purple dress, cut off midway between the knees and waist with a semi transparent purple over silk trailing down to the floor. The torso also contained small silver jewels made out to look like flowers.

Pixal stopped dead in her tracks. She was staring at the purple dress with deep intensity.

"That's the dress...." She whispered.

At this point Skylor and Seliel has already gone inside and we're rummaging around the stock of dresses, leaving me outside with Pixal.

"How much is it?" I asked

"I don't know, but I don't really care either. That's my dress" she said excitedly.

"Then go get it!" I said pushing her towards the door. But she stoped just before entering the shop.

"Wait, do you think Zane will like it?"

"I don't think Zane will really care what you where, as long as it's you who's wearing it" I said smiling at her.

Pixal turned to face me and gave me a big hug.

"Thank you Nya, this school year wouldn't be as fun if you weren't here"

"No problem, what are friends for?" I answered.

Pixal nodded before disappearing in the shop to buy the dress. I had only taken one step inside when I was grabbed by my wrist by Seliel and pulled through the store until I saw two dark blue dresses hanging up on the wall.

"Nya! I need your help! Which dress!?" Seliel said rapidly looking between the two gowns.

One of which was a strapless dark blue dress that gripped tight to the body until extending out at the knees. He gown was completed by feathers made out of jewels spiralling up the torso.

The other was much more simpler shape with short sleeves and dark netting just below the neck. A dark blue belt circled the waist and all above was sprinkled with white jewels made out to look like stars, and below the concentration of jewels subtly narrowed thin until what was left was the deep blue silk hanging to the ground.

"That one" I said pointing to the second option.

"Yes! That was my favourite out of the two!" She squealed, picking up the dress and running over to the counter to pay.

I giggled at my friends overexcited state and started to wondered through the shop, trying to find Skylor.

I had only walked a few steps before my eye was caught by one of the manikins forever frozen in one pose, but that's not what caught my eye, it's what she was wearing that made my heart stop. The dress

I slowly walked towards the sight, my eyes widening with every step. The gown was a beautiful shade of red with an out flowing bottom half with loads of silky layers piled on top of each other. The top half was simple with no jewels or lace, just a simple torso. The sleeves hung loose on the arms and it looked like the whole dress was being held up by the top half which gripped the waist making it look thinner.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned to see Skylor looking at me and nodding.

"I think you found your dress" she said.

I turned back to look at the gown and smiled. I'm sure Jay will love it.

"I think so" I whispered.

~~~Time Skip~~~

Me and the girls where all sitting in Starbucks Coffee talking about the dance. I was drinking a caramel frappe, Seliel was drinking a got chocolate with extra cream and marshmallows and Skylor was drinking a raspberry and cherry fruit cooler, while Pixal drank a black coffee.

"Hey Skylor, I never saw what dress you got" Seliel said, dipping her finger in the cream and putting it in her mouth.

"Oh, here it is" Skylor answers, digging around in her bag before pulling out a bright orange dress. It had one strap over the left hand side and from the waist to the hem, bright orange layers of tightly consisted netting flowed out, each layer weighing as light as a feather. A pattern of jewels spread around the waist and curved up the singular sleeve.

"Woah, that's pretty!" Seliel said. "Kai will be knocked off his feet"

"Thanks" Skylor sighed. "But I'm not going with Kai."

"What?! How come?!"

"He didn't ask me and someone else did, so I'm going with them" she shrugged.

"Huh, Kai is such a wimp" I said, taking a sip of my frappe, before spitting it out over Seliel, "Wait! Your going with someone else?!"

"Yeah" she sighed.

"Do we get to know who he is?" Asked Seliel, wiping my frappe off her face and giving me a glare.

"Morro"

"Lloyds brother?" Pixal asked.

"Yeah" Skylor replied, slumping down in her chair.

About a minute passed of awkward silence before someone spoke again.

"Hey, what ever happened to Trini?" Skylor asked.

"Me and Zane took her to Sensi, he said he was going to perform some sort of ritual to make her wake up faster from the electric shock, but I don't know what he's going to do to her once she wakes up" Pixal stated.

"Probably interrogate her" Skylor shrugs.

"I hope she gets what's coming to her" Seliel said spitefully.

Out of all of us, Seliel had definitely gotten the closest to Trini. Even closer than Skylor, but obviously not as close as Lloyd. Seliel was clearly not happy at her friend betraying her.

"I'm sure there's a reason she did what she did" Pixal said reassuring her.

"Whatever" Seliel answered crossing her arms and daydreaming off to her left.

Another awkward silence passed until I checked my phone, and started freaking out.

"GUYS! We only have two hours before the dance!!" I shouted picking up all my stuff and gulping down my frappe.

Two hours to get home, have a small tea, choose what make up I'm going to wear, put that chosen make up on, put the dress on and get to the dance.

We all rushed to the front of the mall with all our bags in tow.

"Hey guys, are we gonna get ready together?" Asked Pixal as we left the mall.

"Yeah sure, do you guys wanna come round to mine?" I asked.

"Yeah sure, I'll text the guys to pick us up from there.

"Nah, don't bother, Kai told me since I'm hanging out with you, he invited the guys around ours so they'll be there when we get there." I informed them.

"Oh I See my dad, I'll tell him to drop me off at yours, see ya" Skylor shouted, climbing into her dads car.

"I guess since I'm going to yours I can catch your bus instead of mine" Seliel shrugged.

"Do you mind if I catch your bus to your house as well Nya?" Asked Pixal

"Sure, I'd love the company" I answered as we walked to our designated bus stop.

So, this chapter came out quicker that I expected. *Shrugs*
