Cole's POV

I hate wearing suits. There so annoying and blunt. No personality or anything.

I was in the my bathroom looking at myself in the mirror wearing a black suit with a black tie. Since I had nothing better to do, my father decided I should try on the new suit he got me.

Did I mention that I hate suits? Just the word 'suit' make me cringe,
I hate it. Hate it, hate it, hate it! But not as much as Lloyd, I mean I would wear one if I needed to, but Lloyd would proberly run away screaming.

My father knows I hate them, but he is still on the pursuit to buy me loads of fancy clothes for -and I quote- just in case the unexpected dinner date happens. But I'm pretty sure if the unexpected does happen, I'm not gonna need over 20 uniquely styled suits in colours from black, white, dark blue and grey.

I sighed and carefully pealed the suit off from my body and slipped on my black ripped jeans and black hoodie.

I jumped at the sound of my phone indicating I've got a text and simultaneously picked it up to check my messages. I read the caller ID and was surprised that it was from Kai.

Kai: Hey guys, Nya and the girls have gone shopping to find 'the dress' 🙄 So do you wanna come round and play video games or something because I'm bored.

Jay: Sure, BE PREPARED TO DIE SMITH!!!

Me: Yeah, I'll be there in a 15 mins.

Zane: What do you mean 'the dress' don't you mean a dress?

Kai: Legit, I have no clue, something about finding the 'heart stopping, eye widening, breath taking dress'. Girl problems bro.

Zane: Oh, I'll add that to my database, I'll be round yours in 5 mins.

Kai: Kk, see ya then 👋👋

~~~Time Skip~~~

What is taking this elevator so long? I've been waiting for five minuets and it still hadn't got here.

I checked my phone again for any messages or missed calls to pass the time, but mentally groaned when the screen turned up black. I must have forgotten to charge my phone again last night.

I looked up from my phone to see the two thick doors creeking open to reveal a dingy looking elevator. Cautiously, I stepped inside and clicked the 33rd floor. It took another five minutes before the doors opened again displaying a disgusting hallway. Seriously, the elevator was luxury compared to this.

I practically sprinted to Kai's door and rapidly knocked upon it. I heard the sound of a lock turning before the dark red door flung open and a happy looking Jay appeared.

"Cole thank God your here!" He shouted grabbing my wrist and pulling me into a small lounge containing Zane and Kai. "Please tell Kai that knocking the game controller out of my hand, when I was winning, is cheating!"

"Okay, firstly you weren't winning, I was and secondly, it was an accident" Kai defended himself.

"Excuse me? You were winning? I was one hundred percent, with out a shadow of a doubt winning! Right Zane?" Jay shouted, turning to Zane for back up.

"By my calculations, you are both wrong. I was clearly winning this game" Zane said ignoring Jays plea for support.

"Give me a controller, I'll show you who's the real winner of this game" I boasted, grabbing Kai's controller and sitting on the dark red sofa.

We had spent well over an hour battling each other on Wii, playing the game Mario Cart, until a thought popped into my head.

"Hey guys, where's Lloyd?" I asked as I crossed the finish line second, but still beating the others.

"Huh, I don't actually know" Kai replied, also crossing the finish line and coming in third, with Jay following close behind and Zane trailing after them.

"Oh, He said he'd be here at five o'clock" Jay said, checking his phone "which is any time now"

"I wonder what's going through his head" Zane said.

"I have no clue, but I sure feel sorry for the little guy" I sighed.

"Yeah, it must have been hard to see Trini again" Kai said standing up from the couch and walking into the kitchen "you guys want any snacks or anything?"

"Sure, what do you have?" Zane asked.

"Errrr- We have...... gummy bears....... chocolate bars...... fruit....... crisps...... cake-"

"CAKE! Did you say Cake?! I like cake!! CAN I HAVE SOME CAKE!!" I asked excitedly.

"Sure, anyone else?" Kai shouted from the kitchen.

"I will have some cake please, Kai" Zane shouted back.

"Ohhhh! Yeah I'll have some" Jay said.

Moments later, Kai walked back into the lounge and handed out cut slices of cake to everyone. He'd just sat down with his slice when his phone got a text. Kai pick up his phone and read his message.

"Oh Sh*t!" He shouted.

"What's up?" I asked.

"Nya just texted me saying her and the girl will be over here in twenty minutes!" Kai shouted.

"So?" Zane asked confused.

"Have you seen the state of this place?! Nya's gonna kill me! And then proberly you aswell!" He shouted.

I looked around. Empty cups, sweet wrappers and cake crumbs were littered everywhere while the sofa's cushions where either crumpled and squashed on the sofa or thrown across the room. Also, the remains of one of the drink Jay knocked over, was highly visible to the naked eye. It looked like a typical teenage boys room.

"Okay, okay, don't panic! Jay, your on litter patrol, Kai fluff the pillows and make them look neat, Zane remove that stain from the floor and I'll hoover up all the crumbs" I ordered them. We all split off to do our set tasks

20 minutes later we all collapsed on the sofa from complete exhaustion as the door to the apartment opened and Nya, Seliel and Pixal walked through the door.

"Woah, I'd half expected you guys to burn the house down" Nya said "But I have to admit, the apartment looks amazing"

"Uhhhhghhg" All us boys groaned.

"Hey Cole! Do you wanna come see my dress?" Asked Seliel.

"Isn't it bad luck of I do?" I said.

"No, that's just if your getting married, your not having any ideas are you?" She smirked at me and I felt my cheeks heating up with embarrassment.

"DIBS BEING BEST MAN!"
Jay shouted

"If your best man, that means I have to be maid of honour!" Nya squealed.

"By my calculation, I have known Cole the longest, indicating that I should be best man" Zane said.

"No way! I've known him longer than you!" Jay glared at Zane.

"Jay, I'm a robot, I'm physically unable to make mathematical mistakes" Zane argued.

"Guys!! Why are you fighting over something that's not even happening?!" I shouted at the two.

"Whatever..... But just to clarify, it would be me right?" Jay asked.

As a reply, I picked up a nearby pillow and through it at him. He ducked though, his ninja training paying off.

"Hey! It took me ages to puff up thoughts pillows!" Kai pouted angrily.

A loud gasp caught all our attentions as we turned to look at a very worried looking Nya

"What's up sis?" Kai said.

"We only have an hour until the dance and we have so much to do!! And for gods sake, where's Skylor?" She shouted and if on cue a loud knock sounded on the door.

"Finally!" Seliel said stomping over to the door and yanking a very unexpected Skylor into the room.

"Hey guys" She said to which we all waved at her.

"Girls! Into my room, we have dresses to put on!" Nya said pushing Skylor, Seliel and Pixal towards her door and shutting it behind her.

"I guess we'd better get ready as well" I suggested.

"School dance, here we come!"

I know, I know, this chapter was a bit rushed, but it only because I have a really, really important announcement to make and I really didn't want to put another AN in this book.
