Chapter Six- Oh look! Finding out stuff!

I'm going to be writing in first person now just because it's easier. Mk? Mk.
Charlie said that he would consult the priest, but I didn't hear anything about it.
I wasn't sure why Charlie freaked out. I was a good archer, so what. I still didn't tell him about the skelezilla. I was still shocked about it.
Charlie still taught me more about Minecraft, but he didn't seem very focused. When I asked him a question about the chickens laying eggs, he said , "uh huh, yeah" even though it wasn't a yes or no question.
When we discussed the mobs, I stopped him at the skeleton.
"So, is there any, like, colossal skeleton, say, with crossbows and is super big?"
Charlie frowned. "No- well, yes. There's a myth about a mutant skeleton, but he hasn't ever been seen. At least, we haven't heard of him doing anything."
He looked at me. "Why? Are you remembering anything?"
I shook my head. I wasn't technically, but I'm sure that I just saw the mutant skeleton.
"Kat." Charlie looked serious. "Is there something you aren't telling me? Why were you out there this morning?"
I rolled my eyes. "I was about to ignite my jet pack to fly to my limo, which is going to my rollercoaster on the moon."
He gave me a look.
"Because I wanted revenge for that skeleton shooting me, remember when you found me? And is there something you aren't telling me? Like why you were so shocked?"
Charlie looked away with an expression, like ohh boy.
"Look Kat, I can't tell you everything, but you just reminded us of someone. That's it. It was just a coincidence."
I narrowed my eyes, knowing that he was only telling me the partial truth. "So did you go to the priest?"
Charlie sighed. "I can trust you, right?"
"No."
"Really?"
"Bro, you can trust me."
Charlie looked around, but we were the only ones in the library. "The priest has been acting weird lately. Secluding himself sometimes, hiding things, acting suspicious. It's strange."
"So is blocks defying gravity."
Charlie laughed. "Okay, well now we know you're learning. But anyway, it's just a hunch. Don't tell anyone."
"I won't." I promised.
He nodded, and we got to learning.

Now that people are able to trust me without thinking I'd blow up the village, they are letting me help out. I've been fetching water, planting crops, even helping Charlie in the blacksmith.
"Carefully, carefully..." Charlie coaxed.
I gently set the hot sword down in the water, and steam arose as it cooled off. Charlie taught me that you can craft a sword easily, but the ones that you hammer, cool, and heat (not in that order) are the best ones.
After a few seconds, Charlie pulled the sword out of the water. "Perfect!"
"Woohoo!" I did a little dance, and Charlie laughed.
At that moment, Bill appeared in the doorway. "Hello Charlie," he saw me, and his eyes narrowed the slightest bit. "Hello Kat."
Charlie looked uneasy. "Hello priest. what can I do for you?"
The priest cleared his throat. "Have you sent out the newest shipment to the capital?"
Charlie poked the ground with the iron sword I made. "Not yet, we ran out of materials before. Kat's helping me recover the time we lost."
"Very well. Let me know when you are finished." And he was gone. So much for the cheerful Bill the fourth from before.
"Well that was very weird." I said.
"Way to point out the obvious." Charlie said, while putting my sword in a crate.
"So the city needs swords built by awesome people?"
Charlie smirked, while stocking more swords. "Yeah."
"How come?"
Charlie stopped what he was doing. He looked super uncomfortable. "Just in case."
"In case of...?"
"The war spreading."
"Oh. Wait. What war?"
He continued what he was doing. "A war. Between good and bad."
"Noooooo really?" I said sarcastically.
"I meant between who?"
He kept boxing swords. He finished one crate and moved on to another.
"Charlie."
"Between everyone and the mobs."
"Well I figured that. They are always out to get me. But who's leading them?"
Charlie kept stocking swords. I grabbed the one in his hand. "Charlie."
He sighed. "Herobrine."
I let go. "Pardon?"
That name... Something about it... I wasn't sure. It seemed familiar, but then it didn't. I don't know. But when he said it, I felt a chill.
"Don't make me say his name again. He's an evil person."
"But he has Hero in his name."
Charlie stopped again. "It's a long story that I refuse to go into."
"Fine then, mr. grumpy pants." I grumbled.
"Look." He stabbed a sword in the ground and leaned on it. "It isn't my fault that you can't remember anything, but with me explaining everything to you at once, especially about evil, well, it wouldn't be wise. You have to be more patient."
"So sorry that my curiosity is getting in the way. You have no idea what it feels like, waking up with no flipping memories, getting here, seeing that skelezilla-" I shut my mouth.
"Skelezilla? Kat, what did you see." He took a step forward.
"Sorry, but it wouldn't be wise sharing all this information with you at this moment." With that said, I left.

I was in the middle of planting carrots. I felt pretty good about what I said to Charlie, but then I felt bad for saying it. Ugh.
When I heard something behind me, I assumed it was Charlie, so I ignored it. But when something soft and fuzzy brushed against my leg, I knew it wasn't him.
I turned around, but no one was there. Then, I looked down, and saw the most adorable bunny ever. It was all black, except for white paws, and a little white mark on its forehead that looked like a diamond. It's eyes were a beautiful light brown color.
"Awwww!" I knelt down and pet her head. She nudged my hand, and I picked her up. I pet her head more, and I could tell that she was super friendly.
"Wanna be my friend?" I asked her. She seemed to push her head in my hand more for an answer.
"Well you are a girl, so I'll name you... Jewel." I said, putting my hand on her white diamond. "Do you like that?"
She nudged my hand. I laughed and gave her a carrot.
"What are you doing?"
I turned and saw Charlie standing there.
"Talking to my new friend, Jewel." I said.
He huffed. "Kat, I'm sorry about before. What I said was stupid and wrong."
"I accept your apology. And I may have been a little hard as well."
"Can you please tell me about the mutant skeleton?"
"Oh, so you came to apologize just to get information."
He raised an eyebrow for some reason. Probably thought he'd look cool.
I sighed and sat down on the block of wood surrounding the little farm. "When I was out there, with that skeleton, I saw something in the distance. It... it looked just like what a mutant skeleton should look like. It was really tall, and had two crossbows with multiple arrows loaded.
"It said something to the skeleton that I couldn't understand, and then vanished. Then I fought the skeleton, which is about the time you came in."
Charlie looked around. "This isn't good. Not good at all." He shook his head.
"And I'm guessing that you aren't allowed to tell me what's happening."
"Let's just say that if the mutant creatures are stirring, and real, then this war is going to be a whole lot harder."
"Yay..." I said, while stroking Jewel. It probably felt weird, with my cube hand, but she wasn't complaining.
Charlie looked at me. "Kat. You need to learn faster. I haven't even got to the underground topic, and I doubt that the book will help."
"Which means...?" I asked.
"It means," he said slowly, like I was a little kid. "That we are going mining."

The next chapter will be long, since mining is awesome. I'm mostly a builder, but mining's still cool.
Also, I based Jewel the rabbit off of my cat Jewel. She looks just like that, and is very lovable. She even climbs on my shoulder.
