Chapter Eight- Jewel starts a rebellion.

I stared in horror and shock. Large black wisps were flying around the village. They destroyed everything they went through, and fires started. Villagers were screaming, but couldn't do anything about it.

"Holy Notch..." Charlie ran ahead.

I ran up along side him. "Do you know what those things are?!"

He looked frustrated. "Some kind of dark magic..."

We made it to the village. There were only about 5 black wisps, but they were moving fast and being productive.

Charlie tried to swipe at one with his sword, but it just went straight through, leaving the wisp on its merry way.

"Jewel!?" I yelled. "Jewel!"

My little furry rabbit ran out of a hole and into my arms.

"Get to somewhere safe." I told her. I wasn't sure if she understood me, but she jumped away.

One of our villager friends were about to be impaled by a wisp, but I quickly pulled him out of the way. I didn't know what would happen if those things would connect with people, but I didn't want to.

"Are you okay?" I yelled at him over the screaming and weird noises. He nodded.

"How did this all happen?!"

He pointed to the priest's tall structure. At the top, the priest himself was standing on the edge, his arms spread out, and his head tilted up. He seemed like he was chanting something, but his eyes were an unnaturally bright and glowing purple. Yes, I know my eyes are purple, but his are different. Wait, why were my eyes purple? I'll have to think about that later.

Charlie and I ran to the door of the tower. We got inside, and started climbing up, him first.

When I got to the top, Charlie was staring at Bill the fourth, who was barely levitating off the ground.

"Stop this!" Charlie roared.

The priest turned his head, grinning. "Never. I have never had this much power."

"You will destroy yourself as well!" I yelled. I honestly didn't know if that would happen, but it sounded good.

He sneered. "Please. You don't even know who you are. You don't know the power you can hold. If you join Lord Herobrine, you will be unstoppable. You would finally realize your true power."

That shook me. I stumbled back. "You don't know anything. You are just jealous because I rock purple eyes better than you."

"Stand down, or we will destroy you." Charlie stepped forward.

"You will destroy me?" He laughed and sent a black wisp toward Charlie.

"No!" I jumped in the way. Classic movie thing, I know. But something was telling me to go. Not something evil, but... I don't know... good. The black wisp went into me, and the world turned black.

Charlie saw the black wisp fly toward him. He stepped back a few steps, and saw Kat jump in the way. The black wisp entered her, and she fell to the ground.

Charlie yelled, but he couldn't understand what he was saying.

Bill's eyes widened at Kat. He looked... confused.

Charlie took this chance to attack the priest.  He ran over and pushed him off the top of the tower. The priest fell, and hit the ground. Charlie knew he wasn't dead, because the priest groaned and shifted. A black and purple wisp came out of him, and flew off into the distance. Charlie noticed that all of the other wisps followed it away.

The village was a mess. Blocks were thrown everywhere, a few fires had started, buildings were destroyed, but, luckily, all of the damage was repairable, and no one died.

Wait—Kat. Charlie ran over and saw her lying on the ground. She looked lifeless, but was still breathing shallowly.

"Kat, why do you have to make everything so complicated."

It was like I was sleeping. I was floating in the clouds, again, like before.

"I apologize again." That same voice from before.

"For...?" It was hard for me to speak.

"Everything. You are going to be going through tough times from now on."

I laughed. It wasn't like times were really tough before.

"Will I ever get my memory back?" I asked, but I knew the answer.

"You shall see." Yep.

"Can you at least give me a hint about who you are?"

The voice laughed. "Persistent. Good. Okay, well I am a powerful force."

"Gee, thanks."

"I must go. But be prepared."

And I woke up. I was in the same house that I was in before. My armor was off. Everything was the same, except a huge hole in the left wall.

I got out of bed, and almost fell down. But I managed to make it to the hole. Outside, the village was busy. Everyone was helping out by fixing buildings, getting water, and getting materials.

I heard a familiar voice. "Get some cobblestone over to the blacksmith!"

I leaned out and saw Charlie bossing some people around. I started walking over to him, my legs wobbly.

"Hey." My voice sounded sore.

"So the beast awakes." He looked wide awake and refreshed.

"How long have I been out?" I asked.

"A few days." He nodded to a villager who showed him some stone. "Thought you were dead for a little bit, but I knew you're too stubborn to do that to us."

I rolled my eyes. I knew I shouldn't tell him about the dream, as I haven't told him about the other one.

"So you seem very bossy and happy." I raised my eyebrows.

"Yeah, well we have a little bit to do, plus I've been nominated as the village leader."

"Congrats!" I smiled. "You are perfect for that. You're bossy, like to be in charge-"

"Yeah yeah yeah. I gotta go help those guys." He walked away.

I started walking around. "Jewel!"

My rabbit was eating some crops. She ran to me. I picked her up and pet her.

"Crazy... Right?" I mumbled to her.

I walked around not sure what to do. I saw Charlie again, fixing the blacksmith, and I walked to him again.

"Need help?" I asked.

He shook his head. "Listen, Kat. I'm going to be going away."

"What? Why?" I was upset.

"I need to go to the Capitol. The priest needs to be interrogated and the shipment needs to be delivered."

"How do you get there?" I had questions, but that was the first one that popped in my head.

"Underground minecarts."

"Okay, but where is the priest now?"

"He was locked in a house, but we set him up to go. He hasn't talked much, and he's very weak."

"Oh. When are you leaving?"

"Now." He seemed upset. "I was waiting until you woke up." He started walking away.

"But I still need to be taught a bunch more stuff!"

"People will help you, and you have those books."

"Yeah—but..." Charlie was my best friend. Sure, he was had a big head, was bald, and had a massive nose, but he was nice and taught me about Minecraft.

"I'll be back soon." We reached a little hill. There was a group of minecarts on rails that lead downward. On two minecraft were chests, there was one empty one, and on another was the priest. He only had ropes that tied his hands, but he was looking at the ground, as if his boyfriend broke up with him.

"Don't die." I hugged Charlie quickly.

"Great advice." He smirked. He then pushed the minecarts and pushed his own. He jumped into it and waved goodbye. I waved back, and he was gone.

I sighed. Great. Now what. I looked at the village. People were still working on the houses, being busy. I guess I could help them.

I got to work.

It's been almost a week since Charlie left. The village was officially fixed, and they even started adding a small cobblestone wall. I continued reading the books, and I knew a lot. But it was still boring.

Jewel was being annoying, too. She kept trying to jump over the wall, mess with my reading, and pretty much doing everything she can to distract and annoy me. It was like she was starting a rebellion.

"What, Jewel." I sighed. She jumped on top of my books for the third time. She then jumped to the closed door, sniffing it.

"Wanna go out? Fine, go out." I opened the door, and she ran out. I shut it and started walking back. But then I heard scratching at the door. I knew it was Jewel, but I opened it. She ran inside, circled me once, then ran out.

"Want me to come out, too?" I thought about how I've been reading for a while. So might as well stretch my legs.

I walked out and shut the door. The village was as quiet and peaceful as the day I got there. Except for the wall, there was nothing different.

I sighed again. When is Charlie going to be back...

Jewel all of a sudden bolted towards the wall. It looked like she was going to ram into it, but instead, she actually jumped and ran up the three blocks. She sat on the top and looked at me.

"Get down from there!" I reached for her, but she only scooted away.

She looked on the other side of the wall, then back at me.

"I'm not leaving." I rolled my eyes. I leaped up and caught her. She didn't bite, but she struggled. I opened the door, went into the house, closed the door, and set her down. She went over and sniffed the door again.

"No no no. You like it here." I promised. She just sat down and stared at me. I grabbed a book and blocked her from view.

And that was that.

It was night, and I was sleeping soundly. But then, I felt my face getting very hot. Was it a dream, or real? I didn't take any chances, and pinched myself. Ouch. Definitely awake. I opened my eyes, but all I could see was darkness. Was I blind? Wait a sec...

I felt my face, and it felt furry. Then, I pulled Jewel off of my face.

"Were you trying to suffocate me?" I whisper yelled to her.

She just looked at me innocently, then the door.

She really wanted to leave the village. But I didn't know why. I don't know if I should stay or go. Going would be a rash decision, as I would probably die, and I don't know where to go, and I have nothing in my inventory.

Jewel jumped off of my bed and onto the chest. I got up and opened it, gasping. There was an iron sword, a bow, about 20 arrows, 5 steak, and a note.

Use this well, and continue your journey.

I was dumbfounded. But hey, if a random note tells you to go, you go.

I grabbed everything, and left a note saying I would be back soon. Then, I opened the door. The sun was going to be coming up soon. I closed the door, and ran with Jewel to the wall. She ran up it again, making me have to climb. I went to the top and saw, despite the darkness, absolutely no mobs. Weird.

Nevertheless, I jumped off, grabbed Jewel and set her down, and we were off.
