I had another dream. But it started off good.
It most likely took place after the war. Everyone, including our group, the main council, and Mastermind, were all at a pool party. There was a campfire, picnic benches, food, games, and of course an awesome pool with diving boards. All surrounded by a hedge. Everyone was relaxing and having fun.
I walked up to the diving board, and started climbing up. It was only a few blocks about the water, but as I went up, and up, and up, and up, it felt taller and taller. I grew tired, but my auto-pilot body kept going up.
Finally, the ladder stopped and I was at the top. But I was over 200 blocks from the ground. I couldn't see what people were doing, but I saw what was beyond the hedge. It was a wasteland. It was red sand as far as the eye could see, and small wildfires in some places, fueled by nothing. But meanwhile, the grass was green and everyone was enjoying themselves in the hedge.
I looked around at the sky. Instead of being bright blue, it was gray, and cloudy. A wind picked up, and it felt like the diving board was swaying in the air, about to collapse any minute.
"Jump." A malicious voice said from nowhere. He sounded cruel, yet amused. "Go to your friends in your happy little bubble, while everyone and everything everywhere else is in misery. Just how I like it."
I paused for a few seconds, taking in what he said. I looked around. "Who are you?"
"Jump." He said again.
"No." I frowned.
The wind picked up, and I fell on one knee, grabbing the board.
"Jump!" This time, he sounded mad.
"No." I said, stronger this time. I got up defiantly.
He growled. "Why don't you take my offer?!"
"Why don't you make me?!" I looked around, ready for him to appear.
Instead, a final but powerful gust of wind swept me off my feet. I fell of the board, and through the air. I quickly looked to see if he was at the top, but no one was there. Then, I twisted myself and looked down. The pool was closing in fast. But there was nothing that I could do except brace for the impact of water (which would feel like stone).
There wasn't a splash, or a noise. I just fell into the water like it was nothing. When the bubbles cleared, I saw that I didn't even hit the bottom. I was alright.
I swam up and breached the surface, coughing. Everyone stopped what they were doing and started coming over to me.
"Are you okay?" Preston asked me as Abby pulled me out of the water. When I got out, I felt tingly, but looked no different.
I looked over and saw that the diving board had returned to it's normal height. The sky was blue again.
"Y-yeah." I said, unsure.
"Kat." Jake said with a gentle smile. "Whatever happens, we're there for you, okay?"
I hesitated, but smiled. "I know."

I woke up abruptly in my bed. I felt wide awake and refreshed. Apparently, I hadn't moved an inch in my sleep, since my bed was just how it was when I fell asleep.
I got up and opened the curtain to the balcony. What a peaceful day. The sun was shining, the thing was thinging, and the stuff was stuffing.
"Better wake them up peacefully." I whispered to myself as I walked to Abby's bed.
I took a deep breath. "RISE AND SHINE!!!" I yelled in Abby's face. She shouted in alarm and fell off the bed. Gabriel barked.
"UP AND AT EM!" I yelled again and crossed the room to Infinity.
She was sleeping on her stomach, with her face in her pillow, but she raised her hand. "Don't even." She said in a muffled voice. "I'm up."
I grinned and opened the door into the hallway. I felt good, I felt great. I was in such a cheerful mood, that I just had to share it with everyone.
"WAKE UP YOU FREAKS!" I pounded on the boys' door, and heard crashes on the inside. Gordon screamed his high girly scream.
I laughed and walked back into my room, to see Abby glaring at me from the floor. "Thanks a—" she gasped. "Kat!"
"What, what?" I said, anxiously. "Is there something on my face?"
Footsteps came behind me. I turned and saw Jake in the doorway with his jacket off (dang, them muscles though), breathing heavily.
"What's happening?" He heaved.
"My head hurts." Gordon showed up, rubbing his head. Jon and Skye appeared behind him.
"Kat..." Jake just realized me.
"What?!" I said.
Jon blinked, and Skye's jaw dropped slightly.
"Woooaah." Gordon's eyes widened. "What up with the new get-up?"
"New get up...?" I looked down and gasped.
My outfit was changed. I was wearing a gray suit with a violet belt. I put my hand on my face and felt a mask covering my mouth (how did I not see that?) and a band across my forehead, which must've been violet as well.
"What the..." I muttered. "Why... What... Who?"
"Ohhhh no." Jake said.
"Hey." I frowned.
"I think she looks good." Gordon wiggled his eyebrows.
"DUDE YOU'RE A FREAKING NINJA." Infinity shouted at me.
I grinned, but my eyebrows were still furrowed, unsure. "Ummm, thanks. But... how?"
"Veeery peculiar." Skye rubbed an imaginary beard.
"Indubitably." Jon did the same, and Skye nudged him.
"But seriously." Abby walked up to us and gestured to me. "What is happening?"
"I don't know." Jake frowned.
"Would the council know?" I asked.
"Maybe." Infinity said. "Aren't we supposed to have a meeting with them soon?"
"Aren't we supposed to have breakfast." Gordon added.
"Breakfast first, important stuff later." I decided.
"Agreed."
We all went down the few floors using the stairs. Infinity tried to shove Gordon down the stairs, but Jon caught him.
The hotel manager was still nowhere to be seen, like last night. So we just helped ourselves with the buffet table and sat down on the chairs.
As we ate, I could tell that there was anxiousness and tension. Everyone kept sneaking glances at me, and the talking was quite awkward.
But I couldn't blame them. My appearance was completely different. My hair and eye color is the same, but my outfit had changed altogether. How? And why? Why would someone do that? It's not like it helped anything. I had to lower my mask to eat, but whenever I would talk, it was as clear as before.
Something fishy was going on. But hopefully the council had answers.
~<>~
They didn't.
Haha just kidding. Just wanted to start off like that. Anyways.
But at first, when we walked into the giant room, everyone gasped. All of the council was there, so it wasn't like the shock was hidden. Even Mastermind, leaning against the bottom of the platform where the main people were on, raised his eyebrows.
"Kat..." Adam said.
I waved. "Hi."
Preston cleared his throat. "Um, nice look?"
"Really rockin it." Rob said awkwardly. Lachlan hit him when he said that.
"What's going on?" Jake asked bluntly.
"Yeah, um..." I cleared my throat. "Does this mean anything? Or did someone just think my old look was poop?"
"I didn't think it looked like poop." Ty shrugged.
Adam rubbed his head for a few seconds, then took a deep breath. "Okay, this is a good place to start talking."
"Please talk." I had to restrain myself from grinning. This is it.
"Well...that's the outfit that you were wearing before." Ian said.
A few whispers throughout the stands.
"Before?" I asked. "So like, my former outfit wasn't my always outfit?"
"Keep in mind that we don't know everything." Adam reminded me. "But yes."
"So that's why everyone wasn't sure if I was 'the one' or not." I looked at Jake, who nodded. "But how would you guys know that? Was I old me when you guys were on the council?"
So I was switched to my old outfit. Why?
Jerome shook his head. "No. We were toddlers when you were born. Kids. By the time you would've gotten your final outfit, we would've been almost done training."
Something came back to me with a brain freeze (Oh my Notch I haven't had one of those in forever). Before kids turn 5, they have a different 'skin'. After that, they start to transform into their final one, usually at the age of 13. So Danny from the army base would still be morphing. Aw, I miss Danny.
But was my former skin my first one? Or was it a coverup for people not to notice me?
"So, stories." I concluded.
"Yes." Mitch said. "Before Notch left, he told the council that the one in the prophecy— which we'll discuss later— is silent, deadly, and always in the shadows. And... some other stuff. So, us being the immature people, we assumed a ninja. But no one knew it would actually be true."
"But I'm not silent." I frowned.
"Definitely not." Infinity coughed.
"You have no room to talk, missy." Abby patted her shoulder, and she shrugged.
"Notch had a lovely sense of humor, back when we were kids." Ian said, smiling as he remembered.
"He was always nice, funny." Vikk nodded. "He was just a regular man with godly powers."
"What powers does he have?" I asked. We were kind of getting off topic, but I was interested.
"Nobody really knows all of them. But he had the basic ones like immortality, flying, controlling the weather..." Adam listed.
"Basic." Gordon pointed out. "Right. I could use some basic powers too, like fly and make it rain fire."
Lachlan frowned. "He didn't use them that often. Of course he could never turn off his immortality, but he could've passed off as a normal guy to a stranger."
"Is this gonna take a while." Infinity groaned.
Everyone looked at her.
"What? If it's going to take a while, then I should sit."
"Sit on the floor." Skye rolled his eyes.
"Challenge accepted." She sat criss-cross on the floor. Then, she rolled her hand. "Continue."
Adam cleared his throat. "Anyways, back to the situation at hand. I don't know how your clothes changed, but it must be a sign that something is going to happen."
"Well it's our second day in the capital." I said. "Or first full day. Maybe because we're so close to a position of power?"
"Wow." Jon whistled. "That sounded smart."
Mastermind chuckled from his place. "Surprising."
I frowned. "Hey you two. Don't be ganging up on me."
"But maybe." Jordan shrugged.
"Question." A guy in the stands stood up. He wore some kind of gray knight suit with glowing blue eyeholes. "This may or may not be related to the topic, but does this mean that the prophecy is coming true right now?"
A couple of different conversations started in the stands.
"It very well may be, Pat." Adam nodded, looking sad about it.
"But she's on our side." The guy 'Pat' said. "So do we have opness now?"
What did he mean by that?
The main council members gave each other looks. Then, Preston spoke. "We're not sure yet. But maybe."
More conversations, this time louder.
"Okay, okay." Mitch said a few times, until everyone quieted down.
"Tell me about the prophecy." I said.
Adam ran his hand through his hair, which must've felt weird. "I don't think we should show it right now—" My heart fell. "—but it does involve you."
"I kinda figured that much." I whispered. "But if that dude Pat was talking about me being on either good or evil, then I'm not the hero?"
Dead silence.
"Okay." I said in a small voice. "Just wondering."
"Kat, you're good." Skye said.
"Yeah." Jake walked to me and put a hand on my shoulder.
I ignored them.
"Okay, so moving on. If it's a prophecy, who was it written by?" I asked.
"Well." Jordan said. "There were two people. One of them was... Herobrine. And the other was—"
Just then, the entire room went silent as the sky grew brighter outside the dome. Almost golden. Then, the doors flew open, and everyone jerked toward the noise.
A guy walked in from further down the hallway as if the doors opened by themselves. He was bald, but had a black beard. His light brown shirt was tattered, and he had gray pants and black shoes. But his eyes were black.
As he walked in slowly with his hands behind his back, he looked around. You could practically see the tension with the complete silence.
He looked at the stands, then each main council member. Then, he looked at our group. When we made eye contact, his eyes twinkled and he winked at me.
"—Notch." Jordan said. Not only did he finish his sentence, but he also stated who had entered.
Notch was here. He looked like a completely normal, regular, ungodly man, except a glow emitted from him and lit up the room. Everyone stared in awe as he looked around.
Notch inhaled deeply, then grinned. "I'm back."
