Chapter 34- I Didn't Look Before I Leaped And I Fell
That title tho.
I had no idea how to start this. Like, I know what to do next, but I needed a good transition chapter, so this took a little bit to think about.
Anyways, nothing too important going on, just some laughs and such.

I didn't know how long we were in the simulator. But turns out, we were in there for a few hours. It was time for dinner.
So we were all chilling and eating in their sweet room. I didn't know how hungry I was until I saw the cookies. And I devoured them.
"I would've won if it wasn't for Mitch." Infinity grumbled.
"What did you expect?" Mitch said, exasperated. "For me to let you go?"
"Yes!"
"That's not how things work." Jerome chuckled.
"Still." Infinity glared. "I was an innocent person."
"So was your friend." Mitch nodded toward Gordon.
"He was not innocent. He sold me out."
Gordon winced. "I knew you could take him. Well, at least I thought I knew."
Infinity jerked toward him, causing him to flinch and jump back. Everyone laughed.
"You, ma'am, are very violent." Ian noted.
"And very short." Jake snorted.
"I'm not short." Infinity defended herself. "I is funsized."
"Same." Skye said. "At least, compared to Jon."
I just now noticed that Jon was a little taller than Skye. He rubbed his hand on Skye's head.
"How'd you two meet." I asked them.
"Oh." Skye laughed. "Now that's a story."
"For another time." Jon finished.
They both went into a stare down, and Skye sighed.
"How about you guys?" Abby gestured to the council members. "How'd you guys get to be council?"
"Well." Adam started. "When we were younger, toddlers in fact, we showed potential. Notch visited us, suddenly, and moved our families to the Capital."
"Are your families still here?" I asked.
"Sh. Let me finish (I gasped at his rudeness). Here, we trained and such, but then Notch disappeared when we were kids." He swallowed. "We still continued to train, but it felt like it was for nothing. And when we were 18, we got accepted. So we got houses in the capital, and our own army bases. Which our parents are living at, by the way."
"Understandable." Charlie nodded.
"Yeah, they're pretty big." Preston smirked. "I have a little over 2 million people."
"I have 10 million." Adam said.
"5." Mitch added. "Or 6. Haven't checked up on it in a while."
"Geez!" I exclaimed. "That's a lot of people!"
"Not as many as Herobrine." Lachlan sighed.
"But still a lot, yes." Ty laughed.
"Question." Gordon raised his hand. "Where are we going to be staying?"
"On the streets." Rob said.
"Oh."
"I call the bush." Jon said.
"I'm sure we have a place where we live." Adam chuckled.
"Where do you guys live?" I asked.
"Behind the town hall is a district for only council members. We can design our own houses within a plot." Jerome explained. "I got a tree house."
"So you guys have an extra house for us?" Jake asked.
"We usually keep a few 'hotels' near the main council." Ian said.
"Sweet." Infinity approved. "Do they accept dogs?"
"Yes." Vikk chuckled.
"I already have a hotel room in the inner city." Charlie said. "So Lydia and I will catch you guys later."
They got up, waved goodbye, and left.
"Shall we go?" Jordan asked.
"We shall." I grinned.

It was a really sick way to get to to the district. We had to go up a few floors, to a big open room with some plants in the corners. There was a door against the wall next to the elevators.
"Is there a room behind that?" Gordon asked.
"Nope." Adam grinned. He opened the door, to reveal a sky. I was too far away to see anything else. "Who's first?"
"Leggo Mitch!" Jerome grabbed Mitch and pulled him to the door. They looked down for a second, and Mitch pushed Jerome out. He laughed and jumped as well.
"Next!" Adam said.
"There's nothing to be scared of." Preston gave his biggest smile and jumped off. Woofless followed after him.
"Me next!" Infinity said. She looked through the doorway. She almost looked... scared. But then she smiled, held Gabriel tightly, and jumped.
"Come on Jona!" Skye grabbed Jon and shoved him forward. He jumped off, and Skye followed.
Mastermind grinned. "I love this way." He turned around, and saluted to me as he fell backwards.
Soon it was just me, Abby, and Adam left.
"Come on Abby." I said.
She looked out and gulped. "I mentioned that I was afraid of heights, didn't I?"
"Nope!" I shook my head. "I dunno how you get down there, but just think of all the architecture and buildings that are down there. The intricate and creative designs of stairs."
"I do like stairs." She blinked.
"What are you waiting for?" I said.
Abby smiled. "Nothing." She then jumped out.
"You coming?" Adam asked me. I was still a few blocks away.
"Running start." I started to jog forward.
"Wait! You should—"
"Geronimo!!!" I jumped out blindly.
Okay, I should've seen what was going on before I jumped. As I fell through the air, I did my best to analyze the situation. The way to get down was bouncing on slime blocks. There was one against the building, one in the air about 50 blocks below it, another one, and finally one on the ground. Each platform was three by three green slime blocks. And I completely missed the first platform, so I was falling through the air at twice the speed I was supposed to.
For a second, I nearly panicked. But then I realized that panicking wouldn't help anything. So I spread my arms, hopefully slowing my fall. I quickly did a flip so instead of landing on my stomach, I hit the next platform on my feet. Then I was launched again.
I saw everyone at the bottom looking up at me. But I was able to see some worried faces, like Jake's, Abby's, and some others. However, some people like Mastermind and Mitch were really calm, like there wasn't a chance of me dying.
I hit the next platform, and flew. This time, I decided to entertain people and did a front flip. Then another. I went face first down in a dive, and at the last second, turned myself so I hit the last platform on my feet again. But this time, I did it at an angle, so instead of falling 20 blocks on my face, I was launched straight up.
I fell down and this time, when I hit the platform, I went at a wonky angle and went off the slimes.
"HALP." I said, flying toward the ground.
Without even thinking, the members of the council raced to where I was going to land, and held hands, making a safety net for me to fall on. Our group quickly added on at the last second.
I crashed into the net and everyone fell down, most on top of each other. For a moment, there was dead silence. I expected people to be mad, but then I heard laughter.
"That was awesome!" Preston laughed, shoving Vikk off of him.
"I rate it." Woofless grinned.
"Jerome get your butt off of my face!" Mitch yelled.
"Never!"
"Kat, you okay?" Jake asked.
"I'd so do that again." I grabbed his forearm and he lifted me out of the mess.
"THAT'S why I'm afraid of heights."
Abby shuddered.
"You're afraid of heights?" Gordon said, mischievously.
"Don't make a big deal out of it." Infinity said. "It's a natural fear."
"Are you afraid?" Jon asked.
She snorted. "Course not. The only thing I'm afraid of is—"
"Watch out!"
Adam jumped on the last platform and landed it spot on, bouncing a few times.
"That's why you look before you leap." Adam said to me, getting off of the slimes.
I gave a grin and a shrug. Then, I decided to look around.
I loved the council district. It was made up of all different kinds of houses, from towers to one story, from underground to tree houses. It was so creative. The Quartz road was in a slight curve, with three rows of plots. Redstone lamps with daylight censors were lighting up the street, and hedges were on most plots on the outside.
Right behind the town hall was a giant mansion made of white clay. There were fountains (which I liked for some reason) at the front, and yellow flowers leading up to it.
"What's dat?" I pointed to it.
"Oh, that's Notch's mansion." Ian said.
"Noice." I said in a weird way. "Veeery fancy."
"Yeah." Ty rubbed his neck. "It's been vacated ever since Notch left. Strangely, it hasn't collected cobwebs or looked spooky. Like someone's still living in there."
"Haunted mansion?" Infinity grinned.
"Nah." Adam shook his head. "If Notch was here, it would glow. The old council told us how beautiful it was."
There was a bit of awkward silence as everyone looked around.
"So." Rob clapped his hands once. "Let's take a small tour."

ERMAGURSH There's two more chapters left of book one!
It doesn't feel like the end. Like, I actually have it planned out, but it just doesn't feel good enough. Oh well! I'm not gonna bother to change it :3 :P
