Chapter 29- Rob Has No Job

"My name is Katherine. Kat. I am the supposed girl in the prophecy."

Those words hung in the air. Everyone stared at me. I think someone fainted in the stands.

"Nahhhhhh!" The dude in the red hoodie said with an accent.

"Yaaaaaaahhhh." I said in the same way, making him raise an eyebrow.

"Come forward." The guy in the cool suit and sunglasses said.

I stepped forward until I was 10 blocks in front of the main council. "Herro."

The guy stared at me. He took off his sunglasses to reveal brownish hazel eyes. "Oh my Notch..."

"Is it her?" The furry guy asked.

"Different clothes..." The person in the red and blue shirt mumbled.

"I think it's her." The black jacket dude on the far right said. "Why shouldn't it be? Who would try to be her?"

No one decided to argue with that.

"KAT!"

I turned and saw everyone entering the room. Infinity hugged me and pet me. "It's okay, my poor angel!"

"Infinity, stop." I struggled away from her. "Not working this time."

"Why did you come back." Charlie hissed.

"I think they believe you now." I waved to everyone in the stands.

There was silence as people looked at each other. I felt kinda awkward as people looked at me. I slowly shrunk behind Infinity.

"Meeting adjourned." The main dude said. "Council, please exit."

Everyone in the stands started getting up. The guy with the jacket got up too, but the guy in the suit and sunglasses said, "Not you Jordan."

They all filed out in the hall, heading toward the elevators. A lot looked at me as they left. Most were just amazed looks.

After everyone left, the door shut loudly. Dead silence.

The guy got up, and everyone followed him. They walked down some stairs behind the stand, and walked until they were in front of us. They stopped 5 blocks away.

"So..." The guy put his glasses back on. "You're here. Why?"

"Nice to meet you too." I gave a dry, overemphasized grin. "But they brought me here so you guys know I'm... here."

"Great explanation." Gordon mumbled.

"I don't remember anything." I put my hands up. "I don't remember anything about my past."

"You don't?" The red and black hoodie asked.

"Nope. Should I know who you are?"

They pondered that.

The lead guy took off his glasses again and spoke. "My name is SkydoesMinecraft, but you can call me Adam."

"I Ty." The guy in the headset raised his hand.

"It's Mitch, or BajanCanadian here." The red and black hoodie guy said. "And this lovable bacca here is Jerome." He put his arm around the furry guy, who tried to collapse onto him. I dunno about anyone else, but I immediately shipped Merome.

"I'm Preston." The lava creeper said. Despite looking like, well, a creeper, he had a very cheerful voice.

"Vikk." The guy in the red and blue shirt said.

"Rob." Blue hoodie.

"Who has no job." The blonde one in the red hoodie laughed. "I'm Lachlan."

Wait, if he's a council member, how did he not have a job? Oh well. Rob has no job.

"Ssundee, or Ian." The guy in the suit and sunglasses came up to shake my hand.

"Hello, I'm CaptainSparklez." The guy in the jacket said in a weird accent. Then, he spoke normally. "But it's also Jordan."

After our group introduced ourselves, Adam spoke again. "So tell us your story."

I groaned. "Man I already did dat today. It's so much work."

He narrowed his eyes, but not in a threatening or suspicious way. Like an analyzing, or curious way. "Anyone else, then?"

Infinity started to tell it, but she started adding ninja warriors and robots, so Abby took over. Charlie helped in the parts that he was in, and Infinity finished, promising to not add anything extra.

There were a lot of parts where they showed emotion. Like when we found the mutant mobs.

"Three mutant mobs?!" Preston exclaimed. "Holy Notch!"

"So they are real..." Ian shook his head.

"Is it bad news bears now?" Jerome asked.

"It may be..." Vikk looked at the floor.

"Nah..." Jordan waved it away. "We can do this."

"Jordan, you aren't at our regular meetings." Ty informed. "You don't understand our luck."

"Can you explain our luck?" I asked.

Sky pursed his lips. He looked at the sky through the glass dome. It had been a few hours since we had lunch.

"I suppose we can have an early dinner." He concluded. "Who's hungry?"

~<>~

I was hungry. Hungry for information. And for chicken. That too.

But seriously, now was my chance to ask questions that I really hope are answered.

When they said the dining hall, I thought of a grand hall with a giant table filled with a feast, and hundreds of elegant chairs. But what it really was, was even better. It was just like a casual room. There were couches and chairs, a small table in front, some games, and a buffet table to the right. It was obviously for the main people, being small, but still cozy. The walls were wood, and the couches and chairs were velvety. The floor was purple carpet, which I absolutely loved.

"This is awesome!" I said.

Sky chuckled. "I love this place."

"We may seem all serious and mysterious," Lachlan said. "Wait that rhymed! Anyways, we may seem like that, but we're just normal people."

"Normal people who decide the fate of Minecraft and are bosses at things." Skye said.

"Nahhhhh." Ty shook his head. "It was just put in our hands. Anyone loyal could do it."

"Could I?" Gordon asked.

"No." Abby said sternly, and everyone laughed.

"I need food." Infinity said. "Can Gabriel eat too?"

Sky noted the dog in her hands. "Sure. We can get him some dog food."

They actually did have dog food. Also every kind of food. Steak, chicken, pork, fish, sweets (INCLUDING COOKIES), bread, carrots, potatoes, apples, stew, and more. For drinks they had milk and water.

"Still milk for the win." I whispered loudly.

"Totally." Jordan and I fist bumped.

"Water." Adam said.

"Same bruh." Jake and him fist bumped as well.

After everyone got their food, we all sat down on couches and chilled. Turns out, they were just normal guys. Except with insane pvp skills, parkour skills (I have to try parkour out), and just all around great guys.

"How come there aren't any girls on the council?" I asked.

"There are in the council, but not the main one, with us." Rob said. "It's not that we hate females or anything, but we were chosen. Everyone in those stands get chosen eventually."

"Okay, so it's not like you guys are better than them?" Abby asked.

"Nah." Ian took a bite of steak. "Just luck. We get 3 year terms. This is our second year. Sadly, it's when war is starting."

"Tell me about the war. Everyone else is being a jerk." I leaned forward.

"Not our faults." Jake said while eyeing the cookie.

"I plead the fifth." Infinity said.

"Well." Adam shrugged. "I can't really say much. Herobrine— you know about Herobrine, right?"

"Bad dude. All I know." I said.

"Mostly what you need to know." He nodded. "What about Notch?"

"I don't know much about Notch either." I said awkwardly. "Except that he's a good guy."

"Well." He paused, for dramatic effect. "For one thing, Notch and Herobrine are brothers."
