Chapter 25: Can't Forget Gabriel.

Two original characters are going to be introduced in this chapter :D.

I STILL TAKE APPLICATIONS FOR CHARACTERS.

"We're here."

Those two beautiful words made me shiggle. I jolted to the window, looking out. I expected a beautiful city with hundreds of people right in front of me. However, all I saw was a Quartz wall.

"Too late." Jake grinned at me as the train slowly stopped. We were in a station. I stuck my tongue out at him.

"We're in the outer city now." He continued. "If we want to get to the council quicker, we can take the train further into the inner city. Or we can tour as we go along, which would take a little bit."

"I wanna tour." I said.

"Same." said Abby.

"Come on Gabe." Infinity said as she put him in her jacket and zipped him up.

"Come on people!" Gordon jumped up. He must've been a little out of it, because he ran to the door... which was still closed. He hit the door and fell down. He rubbed his head and his rear. "Okay, forget that just happened."

"Never." Abby grinned.

Gordon got up, and slowly opened the door. Then, he walked slowly out. Abby pushed him so he went faster down the hall.

We got off the train into a similar station as before. The Quartz walls made it seem more grand, and it was way more packed. All different kinds of people were everywhere, either socializing, waiting in seats, eating, or in line.

I remembered I didn't have my hood on, and I quickly shoved it on.

"Where do we get our stuffs?" Infinity asked.

"Over hither." Jake walked over to a group of people waiting for a few guys to give them their stuff.

Blah blah blah, boring boring boring. We got our inventory packs, and followed people to a person that collected our tickets. We gave them our tickets, and headed through the crowd.

"Wait!" Gordon stood in front of me, so I couldn't go through the door. "This has to be special. It's your first time."

"And it isn't yours?" Abby raised an eyebrow. "And it's my first time, too."

"I've been here before. And you can wait too."

He just stood there, as if waiting for something.

"Gordon—"

"Okay!" He opened the door.

And everyone died.

...

Hahahaha just kidding.

Anywho.

He opened the door, and the streets of the outer city greeted us. The rising sun shines to the left. People were on mine carts in the road. There were people everywhere, doing everything. Walking, socializing, sitting on benches, walking in and out of buildings. There were toddlers, babies, kids, teenagers, adults, and older people. The buildings were made of lighter blocks, like birch wood, Quartz, and some wools. They weren't too tall, but some were still at most 10 stories. Redstone lamps lit up the streets, trees were at corners, and it just looked...

"Amazing." I breathed.

"I like this place better than the inner city, in my opinion." Jake rubbed his neck. "Just seems brighter, more organized. Not like—"

"No spoiling!" I waved my hands.

He laughed. "Ready to explore?"

"Hang on." Infinity looked around, and saw no one looking. Then, she pulled Gabriel out of her jacket. He barked at the view. Infinity held him. "Okay. Let's go."

We were having a really good time. Jake and Infinity were the tour guides, Gordon told jokes as usual, Abby gawked at the buildings, and I gawked at everything. Oh, and Gabriel was having a fun time, too. Can't forget Gabriel.

We were walking down the street, about maybe 30 minutes later, when I heard something.

CRASH!

"What was that?" I asked. I looked around for the source.

"I didn't hear anything." Infinity frowned.

"I think it was coming from over here!" I ran forward.

"I think she's crazy." I heard Gordon whisper. Well thank you very much.

I kept running, until a place caught my eye. It was a long, one floor building made of stone bricks, and had big glass windows. The name above the door said, S⃣K⃣Y⃣E⃣'S⃣ S⃣W⃣O⃣R⃣D⃣F⃣I⃣G⃣H⃣T⃣I⃣N⃣G⃣ S⃣K⃣I⃣L⃣L⃣S⃣, with a little sword on each side. The sign said Closed next to the door.

"You wanna learn swordfighting?" Abby asked as they caught up to me.

"You run fast." Gordon heaved. "Or maybe because I hurt myself a lot."

"I already taught you fighting." Jake frowned. "Am I not good enough?"

"Jeez people!" I said. "I was wanna know if anyone's hurt."

I walked inside. There was a big area with a giant mat to the right and in front of us. There were shelves on the back wall, and racks with tons of different swords. A few iron armor sets were to the right, next to a lot of boxes. To the left was a little chill space with chairs and a fridge thing. Behind that was a walled off room.

The thing that made a noise was someone knocked a box off the shelf and it hit the swords, making a chain reaction. There was a guy by the mess, and a guy leaning against the wall.

The guy by the boxes seemed our age. He had messy brown hair, and brown eyes. He wore a red western shirt, jeans, white running shoes, a red bandana around his head, and a sword on a belt around his waist.

The guy leaning against the wall also had brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a black shirt, jeans, and a pick around his belt. He seemed a little bit younger.

"Ummm..." I said out loud.

The guy by the mess jerked his head toward us. He looked angry, but it faded when he saw us. "Oh, hi. Are you here for a lesson?"

"Actually, I heard a crash and was wondering if anyone got hurt." I said.

"Oh." The guy grinned. "Nah, just an accident."

"'Accident'. Right." The guy with the pick said.

"Shut up." The other one grinned. Then, he turned to us again. "So you aren't here for a lesson."

"No." Abby said. "Just people being nice."

"Wait a second." The other guy leaned off the wall to take a better look at me. He spoke without lifting his gaze off of me. "Hey Skye, is that who I think that is?"

'Skye' looked at me too. "Hmmmm maybe."

"Well, we gotta go." Jake said quickly.

"Nah, nah." Skye said. "It's cool. We won't say anything. Right Jona?"

"Jon. Just Jon. No Jona. Jon. Or Jonathan."

"Jo?" I suggested. Jon glared at me, but there was still something funny about it.

"So." Skye took out his sword, twirled it, and poked the ground. "What brings you here?"

"Going to the council." Infinity said.

"Ahh." Sky said, grinning. "Cool."

"Sweet dog." Jon nodded his head toward Gabriel.

"Thanks." Infinity said.

"So do you guys need any help?" Skye asked. "We're closed today."

"I think we're fine." Jake said, almost cooly.

"When have you last been here, my friend?" Skye smirked.

"3 years."

Jon grunted. "Inner city's changed a little bit since you've been gone. Roads have been added. That one soup place is gone,—"

"I loved that soup place!" Infinity pouted.

"I think we can manage." Jake said.

"Jake." I shrugged. "There's no harm in bringing them."

Jake rubbed his neck and thought. Then, he sighed. "Okay."

"Yay." Jon said almost emotionlessly. "We get to do something on our day off."

"Aww come on." Skye said. "If it's really her, this is gonna be fun."

"I think I'm really her." I shrugged.

"Well ok then." Jon gave a meekly thumbs up. "I'm sold."

"So are you the quiet one?" Skye asked Gordon.

"No." Abby coughed. "He's usually the annoying one that tells funny jokes."

"I thought I should be quiet. You know, meeting new people." Gordon shuddered. "Worst time of my life."

We all laughed.

"Well, we should probably leave now." Skye said. "Better to get there before lunch."

For once I'm not gonna say "sorry if it's crappy" or "I dunno if I should've ended it there" or "bleh". I like it. But do you guys like it? I like bacon :>
