Chapter 22: "NOT MY DIAMONDS!"
"Guys! I think I found something!"
I turned over, ignoring him.
"Kat...?" I heard Jake.
"Kat's sleeping. Shush." I said, my eyes still closed.
"Okay. Just wanted to warn you that it's Gordon's fault in case the whole place explodes or lava spews everywhere. "
"Wait what?" I jerked up, wide awake, looking around. All I saw was Jake right by me, Infinity looked dead on the ground, and Abby and Gordon kneeling on the ground. They were looking in a hole.
"So get this." Gordon grinned at me. "It's already morning, but I really wanted to make a bed, ya know? So I decided to grab some of this blue wool, and—"
"Is there a dead cow?" Infinity said without getting up.
"No, there's—"
"There's a room down there." Abby cut him short.
"A room?" I asked. I started to walk over, looked inside the hole, and saw a 3 by 3 room about maybe 15 blocks down. I could see a pressure plate in the middle, and chests were in little slots in the walls, one on each side.
"Pretty small." Abby noted. "And that plate doesn't look like good news."
"How are we getting down there?" I asked.
Jake looked at me. "You want to go down there? Why?"
"It's called having a sense of adventure, genius." Infinity said.
"I have some cobblestone and wood." Abby shrugged. "We can make a pick and mine a staircase."
"Cool. Pass the wood." Gordon said.
As they started crafting, I thought about what could be down there. Iron? Gold? Diamonds? A useless book? It seemed way too easy, though. I mean, all you gotta do is break the floor, get down and avoid the pressure plate.
"Done!" Abby said as she held the stone pick.
"We should only had a few go down there." Jake concluded. "My very roomy. I'll pass."
"Yeah, seems like too much work." Infinity sat down. "Plus I don't wanna die."
"Okay, Me, Abby and Kat then!" Gordon said. Then, he gestured Abby to start mining. She broke a few blocks on the floor, in the wall of the room. Then, she disappeared.
"After you." I told Gordon.
"Ladies first." He said.
I rolled my eyes and started to descend. "Then shouldn't you go first?"
"Ooooh." Infinity said.
Soon there was enough room for Gordon to descend as well. Abby kept mining along the wall, turning at the corner. Finally, we made it at the bottom.
"Careful." Abby mined a block in the floor. It revealed a Tnt block under it.
"Mine!" Gordon swiftly grabbed it. Then, he jumped down the hole. "There's nine in all! Hey wait, can I get a block to get back up?"
"No." Abby said, smirking.
"Aw come on!"
"Only if you promise to not play with the tnt."
"I promise not to play with the Tnt. Purposefully."
"I'll take it." Abby tossed down a wood block. Gordon jumped up and placed it under him as he jumped, and climbed back up.
"Thanks." He said, wiping his shirt off.
Awww those two were so cute together. Threatening to leave each other in holes.
"Anything good down there?" Jake called from above.
"So far, tnt." I called back. "But haven't checked the chests yet."
I walked to the nearest chest and opened it. "Holy Notch." In there were some bones, 4 gold, 7 iron, and iron horse armor. Nice." I would love to get a horse now. I put the items in my inventory bag.
Gordon opened one chest. "Cool! Some rotten flesh! And some iron. Oh, and 2 diamonds. And a few bones."
"Wait seriously?" Abby said.
"Yep. 3 bones."
"No. I mean 2 diamonds?"
"Yep." Gordon showed them to her. Then, he stashed them.
"Nice." She said. Then, she opened her own chest. "I got a saddle, 5 iron, 3 gold, and, oh look, some bones. Surprising."
"One more chest." I said as I walked over to it. Gordon and Abby stood behind my shoulders. I opened up the chest, and saw 5 iron, some rotten flesh, and...
"A book?" I took out a book that flowed purple.
"Awesome! An enchanted book!" Abby said.
"I never learned about that..." I frowned.
"You can use it on a weapon, or armor. Depends on what kind of enchant it is." Gordon informed me.
"Well what should I put..." I opened the book. "Sharpness one and fire aspect one on?"
They both gasped.
"Is that good?" I asked.
"Broooo!" Gordon said.
"That's amazing!" Abby breathed. "To be found in a temple? Wow. Sharpness makes a weapon stronger, and fire aspect makes it have flames, and burn the victim."
"Fire?" I grinned.
"Fire." She confirmed.
"We gotta tell the others." I said as I put the stuff away, keeping the book in hand. Then, we headed up.

"NOT MY DIAMONDS." Gordon said, huddled in the corner, cuddling his diamonds.
"Gordon, we need those for an extra sword for Kat to enchant!" Jake said, walking slowly toward him.
"Um guys..." I said, but no one heard me.
"We don't have enough iron to make an anvil though!" Gordon argued.
"I told you, I have some iron blocks, so we can do it!" Abby countered.
"Guys..."
"Just give us the diamonds, dude." Infinity said, seeming as though she really couldn't care less.
"GUYS!" I said loudly.
They all looked at me. "What?"
"I has diamonds." I pulled out two of the six diamonds in my inventory from before.
"You do?" Jake asked.
"Oh, okay." Abby said.
"Yeah, take her diamonds!" Gordon said, pointing to me.
"Cool." Abby through down a crafting table. "Diamonds?"
I passed my two diamonds to her. She took them, along with a stick, and crafted a sword.
"Awesome." I grinned, swinging it. No one said anything, but they did back up a little.
"Iron?" Abby asked.
We all passed our iron to her. Then, she took three blocks, and four iron. She put the three blocks in the top row, and made an upside down T with the ingots. An anvil was made. Abby placed it down on the ground, and it made a really annoying clang sound.
"Cool." I felt the anvil, which was cold. "Sooooo what do I do?"
"It's just like crafting without a table, or transforming your inventory belt." Jake informed me. "Just put the sword on the anvil, and put the book on top. Then, concentrate."
"Okay?" I set the sword horizontally on the anvil. Then, I put the book on top of it, just as he said. I then closed my eyes, and thought about having a really cool sword that could set stuff on fire. Fire...
"Woah!" I heard Gordon say.
I opened my eyes and saw just the sword. The book had vanished. The sword looked like it had red magic or squiggly lines going all over it, and some purple, like how the book had the purple stuff over it. I'm not good at describing it, okay?
"Wow." I picked up the sword. It felt a little heavier, but not too much. "I really want to try this out."
This time, everyone made it obvious that they were stepping away.
"Please not us." Abby put her hands up.
I laughed. "I'll wait for a mob. Wait is it daytime?"
"I checked before." Jake nodded. "So we should probably move on."
"Wait."
We all looked at Infinity, who was staring at the ground. "Can I has a sword?"
Jake's eyes widened. "Ummm, I don't think—"
"Sure!" I said as I got two more diamonds out. The mischievous part of me wanted to see what would happen next.
"Awesome!" Infinity fist pumped.
Gordon rubbed his hands together.
Jake looked at Abby, begging for someone to have common sense. But she shrugged and threw a crafting table down. Then, she tossed a stick to me. "You make it, so the blood isn't on my hands."
I shrugged as well. Then, I crafted a sword for Infinity. I gently gave it to her, and backed up quickly.
She grinned and swung it around. It was obvious that she stuck to her bow, because she was slightly clumsy. Even so, she could've sliced us in half.
"Let's head out." Jake said, slightly nervous. But he was probably just joking. "We should arrive at the Capitol in two days."
