Chapter 19: Apparently, People Hate Me

I got so excited, I shiggled. It's like a shiver, while giggling. It also terrified everyone.

"What was that?" Gordon said, scooting backwards.

"A shiggle. Shiver and giggle."

"Oh."

"Why are you so excited?" Jake asked, trying to hold back a smile.

"Why are you not excited?" I countered.

"True." Link agreed. "I've been to the Capitol a few years ago. If it is just like it was before, you should shiggle."

"Yay!" I put my hands up.

Jake chuckled. "Okay. So we are going to take a team of people to the Capitol to announce Kat's arrival... and...?"

"Then what?" Abby asked. "What are we gonna do next?"

"I guess." Jake looked at me. "It depends on how they react."

"Fabulous." I clapped my hands together. "So if they try to kill us, we know they hate me. But if they give us non-poisonous cookies, then we all cool."

"Awww who could hate you?" Gordon said, cheerfully.

"Lot of people." I answered. "Like all of the mobs, mutants, Herobrine-"

"You can't compare the Capitol council with Herobrine." Infinity said, in a dark way. "He's evil, they are good. They know what's good and what's not. And you are good."

She emphasized the last part, slamming her fist on the table with every word.

"Ouch. Infinity. What did the table do to you?" Link asked.

"Fight me!" She yelled at him. Then, she sighed. "Can we just adjourn this meeting?"

"You can go." Jake said. "But do you want to go to the Capitol or no?"

"Jake, you know it wouldn't be good."

"We aren't going to present you in front of the council or anything. You'll be fine." Jake said.

Infinity took a deep breath. "Okay." Then, she left.

"Well that just happened." I said. I wanted to know more, but I'm about to give up asking.

"Yeah." Jake shifted. "So who else wants to go to the Capitol?"

Gordon and Abby raised their hands at the exact same time.

"Cool." Jake nodded, and smiled. "Link?"

Link shook his head.

"But you could shiggle!" I said.

"Someone's gotta look after this base. And I doubt Joe will want to." He sighed. "Besides, I've seen Notch City before."

"Awww. Okay." I pouted.

"So it's me, Kat, Infinity, Abby, and Gordon?" Jake asked, making sure.

"Yep." We all said.

"Awesome. So when are we leaving?"

"Hmmm... Tomorrow?" I asked.

"Someone's eager." Abby laughed.

"I can't help it!"

We all laughed again.

"Okay." Jake said. "Meeting adjourned."

Frankly, for the rest of the day, I felt so excited, I couldn't think. It was just something about seeing a whole city, thousands of people, and meeting the council. I should've felt nervous, but I was so anxious because I was finally going to explore the world and maybe get some answers. Okay, I doubted that last one, but still.

I went to bed that night with Jewel on my stomach and the image of a glorious city in my brain. I was hoping to get a good dream, or a dreamless sleep, but I guess people hated me.

I was back in the place that looked like it was filled with whitish-goldish clouds. But this time, in some places, I could barely see some horizontal slivers of black.

I tried to move around, and I actually could. I floated over to one of the slivers, and peered through. It just looked pitch black, with little white specks. Wait, were those stars?

"You are getting closer." The male voice said.

"Heeyyyy what's up?" I asked.

He chuckled. "Glad you are adapting well." Then, his almost cheerful tone faded into seriousness. "But be careful. The council of Notch City may be trusted, and are good for sure, but that doesn't mean that they will take kindly to you."

"Great. More people who hate me."

"First impressions are everything. They know who you are, so you need to be cautious of what you do. Make friends before enemies."

"Well it appears that I've had enemies before I even knew it." I muttered.

"That is not your fault. But I must go. Remember my warning, and tell no one. Good luck on your journey."

Slowly, I felt winds press against me.

"Oh," The voice added quickly. "and whatever you do, don't go through the d-"

Before he finished his sentence, the winds blew me back and upward.

I sat upright in my bed, knocking Jewel off. Surprisingly, my awakening wasn't from shock. I wasn't feeling nervous. In fact, I felt like I had a good sleep. All ready to go.

I looked out of my awesome window, and saw the sun has already risen. People were milling about, doing their daily stuff.

Then, a knock at my door. I opened it up and saw Jake there. He had his inventory bag on, as a belt like mine. But it was blue. I'm so jealous.

"Hel-"

"How come you get a colored inventory belt and I don't?" I whined.

"-lo to you too." He finished. "You didn't know you could change the color?"

"No!" I frowned.

"Just hold it, and think of a color."

"That easy?"

"Yep. Watch." He took off his belt and held it in front of him. He closed his eyes and spoke. "Red." The blue shifted colors until it was a fiery red. Jake put it back on.

"Cool!" I took off mine, and held it in front of me. I closed my eyes. "Violet."
I opened my eyes and saw that it changed into a dark purple.

"There ya go." Jake said.

"Yay!" I put it back on.

"Hey guys." Abby appeared at the end of the hallway. "We're leaving soon. So quit flirting and let's go."

"Um-  we weren't-" I stammered out.

She laughed. "And people ship me and Gordon, when you two are the big deal."

"Abby..." Jake warned.

She put her hands up in defeat. "Okay, okay. Let's go."

We had all of our supplies ready. Since we decided that the base needed supplies, we decided to have one weapon each. So Infinity and I both got bows, while Jake, Abby, and Gordon got diamond swords. We each got ten steaks, iron chest-plates and boots, and Infinity and I got a stack of arrows each. The journey was supposed to last 2 days. Supposed to.

As we got ready at the front gate, almost everyone came by to say farewell.

Danny ran up and hugged me. "Kill some monsters for me!"

I laughed. "I will." Although I hoped we don't stumble upon a lot of mobs.

Link came up to us with guard Joe beside him. "Good luck guys. Don't die."

"Will do." Gordon gave a thumbs up.

"We should go now." Infinity said, already outside the gates. "Better go early and avoid nighttime."

"She's right. See ya later, Link." Jake gave him a fist bump.

"Bye everyone!" I said, waving. A lot waved back.

Then, we were gone.

I like updating like this better. They are shorter chapters, but quicker updates.

But, I'm gonna be a pro-fess-ion-al and map all of this stuff out, until I reach the end. This is gonna sound weird, but I feel like a reader in my stories, because I make up stuff as I go along. So yes, I am also affected by cliffhangers, surprised at plot twists, angered at deaths, and all that jazz. So planning this out is gonna be boring for me, as I am a person who likes to wing it. But I'll do it so there isn't a screw up.

AND

From now on, I'm going to ask Minecraft related questions at the end of each chapter.

So what is your favorite hostile mob? Favorite nice mob?

Rock on, my little rebels.
