Chapter 15
*Isabella's P.O.V*
Today was an exciting day. Today Mum, Dad, Emilia and Eduardo were coming home. Don't get me wrong, I'd loved staying with the Mills, but I had missed my family.
My alarm clock went off at 7:45 and my family would be getting back at around 8:30-9:00, so I jumped out of bed (not literally because that would probably really hurt my ankle) and went over to my suitcase. I had a bath last night, so I didn't need to this morning. I decided to wear a lilac coloured cropped camisole, a white skirt with pastel coloured hearts around the bottom and a pair of pink and white tie dyed Vans which made them look like pink clouds all over my shoes. I wore a gold choker with tiny little pearls on around my neck, around my right wrist was a pink watch with a gold cat wearing glasses on the face and a pair of lemonade pink heart earrings with gold outlines were in my ears. I put my hair in two high braids and clipped on my blue, purple and green phone case on my phone which looked like it was cracked with a bubble effect.
Tilly was still sleeping as it was pretty early, so once I was dressed I tiptoed out of her bedroom and managed to get myself down the stairs. I hobbled into the kitchen, where Sara was making herself some breakfast.
"Morning, Isabella." She smiled at me, "Let me help you." She helped me over to the dining table where I sat down.
"Thanks." I smiled back, as Sara sat next to me, "And thank you for everything else... For letting me stay here the last two weeks and being so lovely."
"Aw, Isabella, you don't need to thank me. It's been our pleasure." Sara said softly, putting her hands on top of mine, "Would you like some toast? I was just doing some for myself."
"Yes please, only if it's not too much trouble for you." I said politely.
"Of course it's not." Sara smiled, getting up to finish making her toast and do mine. By the time she'd made both of our toast and we'd both finished eating, it was about 8:40. Everyone else had now gotten up and had breakfast. Suddenly I got a call from Mum and answered immediately.
"Hey, Mum, what's up?" I asked, slightly worried something had gone wrong.
"Nothing, darling, I was just calling to let you know that we're on our way home right now." She told me.
"Really?" I asked excitedly.
"Yeah, we can't wait to see you." She replied.
"I can't wait to see you all either. I've missed you all so much." I smiled, even though she couldn't see me.
"We've missed you too, baby. We'll see you in a bit, okay? Love you." She said.
"Love you too." I said before she hung up.
"Was that your mum?" Harvey asked me.
"Yeah, they're on their way home now." I grinned.
"That's great." Harvey smiled, but for some reason it looked fake.
"Are you excited to see your family?" Leo asked me.
"Yeah, I've missed them like mad." I said.
"Well, you won't have to miss them for much longer." Max said with a smile. I smiled back. Harvey then got up without saying anything and walked out of the room.
"Um, I'm just going to make sure I've packed everything up." I announced, using my crutches to walk out of the room. I managed to get up the stairs, but instead of turning into Tilly's room, I went over to Max and Harvey's room and knocked on the door.
"What?" Harvey snapped from inside. I slowly turned the door handle and opened the door, to find Harvey laying on his bed, on his phone, a miserable look on his face. He soon realised it was me and sat up, "Sorry, I didn't know it was you."
"It's fine. Are you okay?" I frowned slightly, hobbling over and sitting on the bed next to him.
"Yeah, I'm good." He said, but I knew he was lying.
"You sure?" I pushed. Harvey sighed.
"I mean, I'm kind of bummed that you're going to be moving back into your house today. It's been really cool having you here. You're not bad company, you know." He admitted, a playful hint in his voice as he said the last bit.
"Thanks, you're not too bad yourself." I smirked, giving him a gentle nudge, "But you don't have to be bummed out. It's not like I'm moving far away, is it? I'll still be just next door."
"I guess, but it's not the same as spending every last minute of the day with you." He shrugged.
"Wow, I'd have thought you'd be desperate to get rid of me after spending so much time with me." I joked.
"I'd never want to get rid of you." Harvey said, looking straight at me. He had a cheeky smile on his face, but his eyes told me he was being genuine. I just giggled, looking down as I blushed. After a few seconds, I looked back up at Harvey to see he was still staring at me. At first, I thought I was imagining it, but then I realised he was slowly leaning towards me. I closed my eyes, my stomach going crazy with nervous butterflies as I waited for the kiss I thought was about to happen. Instead, the door swung open and Max barged in.
"Iz, your parents have just pulled up and... Oh, what's going on in here?" A smirk almost instantly appeared on Max's face.
"Nothing, we were just talking." Harvey said, which technically was true. We were just talking, until that last bit.
"Right..." Max said sarcastically, "Anyway, Izzy, your parents are here."
"Really?" I gasped, excited to see my family after all this time. We all left the boys' bedroom and they helped me down the stairs. I hobbled outside as quick as I good and was soon engulfed in loads of hugs by my family members. I actually got a bit emotional because I'd missed them so much.
The rest of the day consisted mostly of me spending time with my parents and siblings, and Emilia and Eduardo telling me all about their Disney World experience. In the back of my head, however, I couldn't stop think about how Harvey and I almost kissed today.
