Chapter 10

*Isabella's P.O.V*

The morning after Mum, Dad and the little ones left, I was woken up by someone gently poking my face.

"Iz." I recognised Harvey's voice and slowly opened my eyes to find him smiling down at me, "Oh, good, you're awake."

"Why were you poking my face?" I giggled.

"Oh, uh, I didn't know how else to wake you up..." He chuckled awkwardly and scratched the back of his neck.

"Right, okay." I laughed, sitting up, "What time is it?"

"Only about 10 o'clock; I've not long been up." He replied.

"What about everyone else?" I wondered.

"Yeah, they're up as well." He answered.

"Okay." I said, swinging my legs out of bed.

"Careful." Harvey warned me.

"I'm fine, Harv." I chuckled. Harvey's been a little overprotective since I moved in with the Mills. He's constantly asking if I'm comfortable enough, or telling me to be careful every time I stand up. I honestly love it though, it shows that he cares. I also find it kind of adorable, not gonna lie. Although, I do find myself saying "I'm fine, Harv" every ten minutes.

"Okay, well, do you need any help? You know, to get ready and stuff." He offered, obviously not realising how awkward it would be if he had to help me get dressed.

"I think I'll manage, but thanks anyway." I smiled gratefully.

"Alright, see you downstairs." He smiled back, before leaving the room I was sharing with Tilly. I chuckled to myself, before reaching for my crutches and hobbling over to my suitcase. Mum and Dad had given me the spare key to the house, in case I realised I'd forgotten something and had to nip over and get it. Anyway, I rummaged through my suitcase, before picking out a cropped, black tank top with the words 'Normal is Boring' on the front in white writing, an army green skater skirt and my classic black and white Adidas Originals Superstar trainers. I decided to wear my black watch with a silver face and a silver, crystal bow at the bottom of the face. I also fastened my silver music note heart necklace around my neck, clipped in a pair of silver butterfly earrings and slipped on my silver Superman ring with a red background on my right ring finger. I brushed my hair before popping on a red flower crown hairband. I didn't know why but I was kind of obsessed with flower crowns at the moment. Lastly, I changed the phone case on my phone to my white one with a black pair of glasses, a moustache and a red bow tie on.

Once I was dressed and ready for the day, I hobbled over to the door of Tilly's room and opened it, to find Harvey waiting at the top of the stairs.

"I thought you said you were going to meet me downstairs?" I said, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Well, I was, but you'd have no one to help you down the stairs if I did that." He explained.

"I'm sure I would've managed." I chuckled softly.

"Would you just shut up and accept my help." He said playfully, before effortlessly picking me up bridal style.

"Harvey!" I squealed, not expecting that at all. Harvey just laughed and carried me down the stairs and into the living room, before setting me down on one of the sofas, "I could've gone from the stairs to the sofa by myself, you know." I claimed.

"A thank you would be nice." He said, folding his arms across his chest.

"Thank you." I giggled, as Max walked in.

"Hey, Izzy." He greeted me with a smile.

"Hi, Max." I smiled back, as he sat on the armchair.

"I was thinking, maybe we could invite Hailee round?" Max suggested. Harvey and I smirked at each other. Of course he would want to invite Hailee round.

"Why, Max?" Harvey asked, the smirk still gracing his face.

"I don't know, because we've got nothing else to do?" He shrugged.

"I think that sounds like a good idea." I agreed.

"Yeah, I guess." Harvey said.

"Okay, great, I'll text her." Max whipped out his phone and began typing away. Minutes later, his phone dinged as she replied and the smile that spread across his face as he read her text was honestly adorable. He literally had the biggest crush on her and it couldn't have been more obvious. "She said she'll be here in 10." He told us, shoving his phone back into his pocket.

Sure enough, there was a knock at the door ten minutes later. Max went to answer it and he walked back into the room seconds later, Hailee trailing behind.

"Hey, Hails." Harvey and I greeted her in unison.

"Hey, guys." She laughed, "How are you feeling, Bells?"

"I'm alright, I suppose." I shrugged.

"That's good. I got you a little get well soon gift." She handed me a bag of Cadbury's Twirl Bites, one of my favourite types of chocolate ever.

"You are literally the best friend in the entire world." I grinned, taking the bag from her.

"What about us?!" Harvey cried out,.

"Yeah!" Max chimed in.

"You didn't by me chocolate." I pointed out. They both just rolled their eyes while Hailee laughed. We just watched TV for about a hour, but that soon got pretty old.

"I'm so bored." Max complained.

"Same here." I sighed.

"Yeah, I didn't want to seem rude but I'm not having too much fun either..." Hailee trailed off.

"Why don't we go to the park?" Max suggested.

"The park sounds fun." Hailee nodded.

"I'm in." I smiled.

"Are you sure that's a good idea, Bells? I mean, you can barely walk." Harvey spoke up.

"Yes, she can. That's what the crutches are for, numbskull." Max said.

"But what if you hurt yourself?" Harvey frowned in concern.

"I'm sure I'll be fine, Harv. Plus, it'll be good for me to get out for a bit." I assured him. So, we all decided that the park was a good option and after telling Sara we were going out, we left the house. We walked to the park, which was just around the corner. Well, Hailee and the twins walked, while I hobbled along on my crutches. We soon arrived at the park and I went to sit on the swings, since that was the only thing I could do that wouldn't hurt me. Hailee soon came over and sat on the swing next to mine.

"Must be pretty fun living under the same roof as Harvey, huh?" She said with a small smirk. I rolled my eyes. Of course she would bring up Harvey.

"Yeah, I mean, the whole family are literally the nicest people ever." I said.

"No, Izzy, that's not what I said. I was asking how is it living with Harvey. You know, the boy you're madly in love with?" She explained it as if I was a small child. I found myself blushing at what she said.

"I'm not madly in love with him, Hailee." I insisted, "But yes, I do like living in the same house as him." I mumbled, a small smile on my face.

"I knew it." She grinned.

"Although, he can be a bit overbearing. You know, making sure I don't hurt my ankle any more." I admitted.

"Yeah, but surely that's a good thing, isn't it? I mean, he obviously cares about you a lot." She said.

"I know." I nodded, a smile creeping onto my face.

Me, Hailee and the boys stayed at the park for about an hour or so before we decided to head home. Hailee also stayed at the boys' place for another couple of hours after we got back from the park, but she soon had to get back to her own home.
