Sixth Year
"You guys see the threstals right?" I asked.
"The what?" James asked looking at the threstal. "I don't see anything."
"Prongs, you're literally staring at it." I said and got on the carriage. "Just forget it."
"Vixen, the reason why we can't see it is because none of us have stared at death or seen somebody died. You literally stared death in the face a few months back." Remus said and sat next to me with Sirius on my other side.
"That's true. They look creepy but I love it." I smiled as the threstals started to pull the carriage.
"Since when do you like creepy things, Jade?" James looked at me.
"Since the moment I looked at your face for the first time, Prongs."
...
"Welcome to another year at Hogwarts-"
"Let's just hope I don't end up on my death bed again." I mumbled to Regulus.
"What happened last year? I just saw Sirius running around the dungeons calling for Snape with his entire upper body covered in blood. It wasn't his right?"
"Nope. It was mine." I shrugged and watched the sorting ceremony. "That kid is coming to the snake pit. I bet 5 sickles on it."
"He's a Ravenclaw, Jade. I'll take your bet." Regulus smirked.
"SLYTHERIN!"
"I believe 5 sickles is in order my dear friend." I laughed as Regulus handed me the money.
"Let's not guess anymore, okay?"
"Whatever, Reg. That kid is a Huff and that's my final guess." I smirked.
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Told you." I laughed.
"I'm not paying you, Jade."
...
"Sirius, you have quidditch practice today."
"But I love spending time you." Sirius whined. "You're the only person that has permission to touch my hair."
"You're such a baby. If Prongs sees you like this, he'll drag you to the Quidditch pitch by your ankles." I laughed and kissed his forehead.
"Let him. I'll put up a fight. Nobody is separating me from my sunshine." Sirius kissed my neck and sighed happily. "You smell like vanilla."
"And you smell like pine, mint and coffee." I smiled and made him face me. "You're so cute sometimes, you know that?"
"I thought I was handsome?" He smirked.
"Well yes. But today you're acting like a baby and therefore you're cute. Yesterday you were handsome." We both smiled at each other and leaned in.
"PADFOOT, QUIDDITCH PRACTICE! ON THE DOUBLE! AND VIXEN, STOP HOGGING SIRIUS. HE'S MINE TODAY." James yelled walking down the stairs messing around with a practice snitch.
"He's yours today. He was yours yesterday, the day before and on the train ride. When is it my turn!?" I whined when Sirius sat up.
"Never. He's all mine, Didi." James smirked and handed Sirius his broom.
"I have twins fighting over me and not in the way I imagined it. I don't know how to feel about that." Sirius laughed and kissed me. "Don't pout, sunshine. It's only for two to three hours. After that, I'm all yours."
"I know but I also want to see you guys practice but I can't." I whined and stood up. "I might as well find Moony, wherever he is."
"He was with Lily last I saw him." Sirius said. I nodded and grabbed my bag.
"I'll see you two later, then." I kissed Sirius goodbye and hit James in the arm.
"Wait, why can't you go and watch us practice?" I rolled my eyes and gestured towards my green tie since I wasn't wearing the cloak.
"Umm, I'm a snake, remember? Wood will have a fit once he sees me and start throwing quaffles at me."
"Forgot that you're a Slytherin for a second." James smiled and put an arm around me. "Go find Moony and Evans then. And if you could do me a favor, I would love even more."
"My answer is still no, Prongs. I'm not meddling in it." I removed his arm and opened the portrait.
"But-"
"No buts. I'm not doing it and that's final."
...
~Sirius POV~
"You do know that I was having a moment right?" I fixed my knee pads as we exited the castle and headed towards the quidditch pitch.
"I know. You two are driving me insane, if I'm being honest. Can you two just stop being adorable for like five minutes?"
"Fine. Only if you stop talking about Evans every five minutes." I smirked.
"Fuck you, Padfoot." James rolled his eyes and entered the pitch. "Let's see what torture the captain has for us today."
"Okay, I have designed a new quidditch plan that will definitely help us win against the Snakes." Our captain entered the pitch and we all mentally groaned. Here we go again.
...
"I'm telling you Longbottom, just ask Alice out. We're desperate here." I heard my sunshine's voice coming from outside of the locker room and I smiled. I walked out and saw her talking to Frank but her back was facing me so she didn't see me and James come out.
"I'll pay you 10 sickles if she threatens him." James stood next to me watching the whole thing.
"You better pay me now since threatening people is her specialty. And we all know that they're not empty threats."
"I don't know, Jade. What if she says no?" Frank asked looking at the floor. Jade groaned and messed up her hair and took off her glasses.
"I'm taking them off because I choose not to watch this stupidity. You men and your overthinking. And then you people have the audacity to say that women are complicated. Look Frank, I'm trying to help you out because in all honesty, the girls are driving me fucking insane. Either you grow some balls and ask Alice out, or you stop leading her on. If you keep on leading her on the way that you do, you're gonna have to answer to me. And I don't do much talking, understood? I sometimes prefer to do a little aggressive approach." She shrugged. James groaned and I took my hand out.
"Pay up, Prongs." I smirked. James handed me the money while mumbling something under his breath.
"And how exactly do you do that?" Frank asked looking a bit scared.
"It's a conversation with my wand pointed at you. Wanna try it?" Jade took out her wand and pointed it at Frank. He paled and stepped back. "Now, have we come to an understanding? Because I'd really hate to mess up your handsome face and have Alice on my ass for hexing you into oblivion." Frank nodded and she put her wand away.
"You really do have a way with words sunshine." I said as I walked towards them and hugged Jade from behind. "If I were you, I'd do as she says. Her threats never come empty. You can ask James that."
"It's true! I have the scars and bite marks to prove it." James said and Jade laughed.
"You were asking for those, James." Jade rolled her eyes and gave Frank one last glare. "I'm serious about this, Frank. Just because you're a year older than me it doesn't mean that I can't take you down. I once punched a sixth year Huff during my second year just because he was making fun of Remus. Don't fucking test me."
"I wouldn't dream of it, Jade. I'll ask Alice to Hogsmeade, I promise." Jade nodded and dismissed him. "I don't know how you put up with her, Sirius."
"If it's any constellation, she has to put up with me. I was the one who dangled from a chandelier during fourth year." I shrugged. James nudged my side and pointed towards a small hill and I saw that the girls were making their way here. "This is gonna be good."
"Longbottom! You and I are going to have a little chat." Lily said once she arrived. "Hi, Jade and Sirius."
"All right, Evans?" James smirked and messed up his hair. Lily rolled her eyes.
"Not happening, Potter."
"Lils, weren't you with Remus and Peter?" Jade asked.
"She ditched them once she saw Alice running towards the common room." Marlene shrugged.
"She's doing it again." Dorcas said and glared at Frank.
"Ughhh. This is why we have aggressive conversations like this, Frank. To see if you have a brain in that pretty little head of yours." Jade said and moved from my arms. She moved towards Frank and whacked him in the head. "I suggest you get your head out of your damn ass and do something before you end up in the hospital wing with more than a few broken bones."
"She's literally fearless." James muttered to me and I nodded.
Frank looked at Jade in fear and nodded.
"You better do it soon, Frank. You're hurting her by leading her on. It's been two years already and she's starting to lose hope." Lily said.
"Why doesn't she just ask him out?" James asked.
"She tried once but chickened out halfway." Dorcas said and pulled Jade back. "Don't kill him yet, Jade."
"I'm not. I'm just going to give him the proper motivation to stop messing with my friend's heart." Jade smirked and pulled out her wand put I took it from her. "Hey!"
"Don't do it. At least not yet." I said and put her wand away.
"It was just an aggressive approach. I wasn't gonna do anything." Jade huffed and crossed her arms.
"Yeah, right."
...
"Sunshine, stop pulling my hair."
"Shut up and hand me that hair tie, Pads." I handed Jade the hair tie and I felt her pulling my hair even more.
"Why did Padfoot agree to this again?" Remus laughed.
"Because Vixen gave him the pout and he can't say no to her." Peter shrugged.
"I can too!" I yelled.
"No you can't, love." Jade laughed and put her hands on my shoulder. "All done, Pads."
I stood up and walked towards the mirror and looked at my hair.
"Can you do my hair before each game? This looks way better than when I do it." She nodded and smiled at me.
"Is there any hope for mine?" James smirked.
"Nope, sorry Prongs. Not even Dad's potions will help you." Jade laughed and walked towards me and put her arms around me.
"Fuck you, Didi."
"That's incest, Bam Bam."
