O.W.L.
"WAKE THE HELL UP, IT'S TEST DAY!" I yelled as I shook the boys awake. "THE YEAR IS UP AND NOW I CAN SLEEP PROPERLY AFTER TONIGHT THANK YOU VERY MUCH"
"Do you have to yell? It's like six in the morning." James yawned and hit me with a pillow. "Sirius, control your girlfriend."
"She's your sister, Prongs." Sirius yawned and sat up.
"Before breakfast, she's your girlfriend. After that, she's my sister and your girlfriend." I rolled my eyes and jumped onto James' bed. "Okay, okay. I'm up. Why are you so excited all of a sudden?"
"Because I want to. Now hurry and get dressed you two, Moony and Wormtail are waiting downstairs with breakfast." I said as I jumped off the bed and kissed their foreheads and left.
...
"So they're putting us in alphabetical order which means that you three-" Remus gestured towards James, Peter and I. "-will probably be next to each other."
"Calm down, Moony. You're going to do great." I said as I walked towards Sirius and kissed him. "Good luck, Pads."
"I won't need it. I've had the best tutor all year." Sirius smirked and hugged me. "I'll see you later. Good luck."
"All right lovebirds, break it up. McGonagall is calling everyone to the Hall. Let's get these tests over with." James said as he put an arm around me and we entered the Hall. As Remus predicted, they were sitting us in alphabetical order which meant that I was sitting next to James.
"Mr. Black in the front, Lupin in the middle, Potters and Pettigrew in the back with Pettigrew in front of you two." McGonagall said as soon as we entered the Hall. We all nodded and went our separate ways. I sat down on my assigned seat and looked at James who was pale in the face behind me.
"Calm down, we've studied all year for this. We've got this in the bag." I whispered to him. James nodded and grabbed my hand in support.
"See you after this is done?"
"Good luck, James."
"Good luck, Jade."
...
"Moony what did you think of question fifteen? That one was so hard." Sirius smirked once we were allowed to leave before the practical tests started.
"Yes that one was tough. Five signs in recognizing a werewolf. Well let's see, he has scars all over his face, was sorted into Gryffindor, is a fifth year student, is sitting in the same chair as me, and his name is Remus Lupin. I gotta say, that was the hardest question in the test. How did you do on the essay, Vix?" Remus smirked and put an arm around me.
"Finished it in five minutes and then fell asleep. My essay was about animagus, and Prongs was about metamorphmagus. That test was a no-brainer same with the Potions one. I'm more worried about Divination though." I shrugged. "Let's go to the Lake, I need to stretch my legs."
"Why Divination? You just make stuff up as you go." Peter asked.
"I dropped that class third year, remember? I hated it. That's why I took Ancient Runes with Moony. Luckily Padfoot handed me his notes from that year and I was able to study a bit."
"Ancient Runes came in handy with DADA and Transfiguration, so you're welcome." Remus smirked and sat down by a tree.
"What time does the practical tests start?" James asked sitting down also.
"Like at three, I think. I have Potions first while you four are at Transfiguration, then we switch. After that is Herbology while you guys are at Charms and then the switch. And finally around midnight is Astronomy and that's the one I'm dreading the most." I said as I sat on Sirius' lap.
"We've been studying for that one the most, sunshine. You'll ace it. I've shown you all the constellations and where each planet is located. Just trace them in your mind and you'll be okay." Sirius wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead.
"I need a nap." I said as I closed my eyes.
"You'll sleep later, Vix. When do we leave?" Remus asked.
"The day after tomorrow. Tomorrow the rest have finals and they announce the winners of the Cups and the next day we leave. So after the tests, we pack." I yawned.
"And knowing Vix, she's already packed." James smirked.
"Who said I unpacked in the first place? I didn't have the time. And with the year we had, I didn't see the need to do so." I shrugged. "Besides, I spent most of my time in your House."
"True."
...
"Evans, you're up." Sirius yawned as he left the astronomy tower.
"How was it?" I asked once he made his way towards us.
"I'm not telling you because I don't want you to be more nervous than you already are. Just remember the constellations and you'll be fine." Sirius said as he sat down and put his head on my lap. "I'm exhausted. Thank Merlin, it's over."
I sighed and played with his hair as Sirius was more asleep than awake.
...
"Nott, you're up." Remus said.
"So?"
"We're not telling you, Vix." Remus smirked.
"Fuck you, Lupin."
...
"Vixen, you're up." Peter walked towards us. "And we're not telling you."
"Damn you all to hell." I shook Sirius awake.
"Is it over?" He mumbled.
"No, but I'm up. So move your fat ass." I rolled my eyes and pushed him off me.
"You love it." He smirked.
"Shut up, Pads."
...
"Good evening, Miss Potter. You ready?" Sinistra smiled at me.
"I think I am, Professor. I'm just exhausted." I smiled back.
"The test is very simple, Miss Potter. First, tell me the constellations that you see. If you paid attention in class, I'm sure you'll get them."
"Okay." I took a deep breath and looked at the sky. "Umm, I see Cassiopeia, Orion's Belt, I think that one over there is Bellatrix, that one is Andromeda, that's Vulpecula, Lupus, and the last one is Canis Mayor."
"What is the main star in the last constellation you mentioned?" Sinistra wrote my answers down.
"The Sirius star. It's the brightest star in the sky." I smiled.
"I wonder how you know that so well." Sinistra smiled at me. "Last question. Are the planets visible? And if so, which ones?"
"Umm, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury and Pluto. Strangely, Mercury and Pluto are aligned a bit."
"Very good, Miss Potter! I'm very impressed. Now, go and tell your brother it's his turn."
"Thank you, Professor. See you next year!"
...
"Bam Bam, you're up." I yawned and made my way towards the boys.
"How was it?" James asked.
"Exhausting. Now go before she fails you." I smirked and sat on Sirius lap.
"It was easy right?" He smirked and wrapped his arms around me.
"All because I have the best Astronomy tutor. Thanks, Pads."
"Anything for my sunshine. Now can Prongs hurry up? I'm tired and I need my beauty sleep." Sirius yawned and hit a passed out Remus. "If I don't sleep, nobody sleeps. Wake up Moony."
"Fuck off, Padfoot. Hit me again and you'll have feet for hands for a month." Remus glared and rested his head on my lap.
"Is my lap your new pillow Moony?" I laughed.
"I'm tired, Vixen. The floor could be my pillow and I wouldn't care."
...
"Thank Merlin it's over. Now I can sleep!" I yelled once we entered the common room.
"Wrong. You're helping us pack." James smirked.
"Can we pack tomorrow? We have all day to pack before Dumbledore announces the winners of the Cups." I whined and threw myself facedown on the sofa.
"Yeah, I wonder who won this year." Sirius said sarcastically and laid on top of me.
"Oh yeah. Who do you think it'll be Wormtail?" James said and laid on top of Sirius.
"Guys, you're crushing my rib cage with your FAT ASS!"
"I think the lions have this one in the bag this year." Peter smirked and laid on top of James.
"I'm serious, guys. My lungs are giving out." I tried to hit Sirius but he grabbed my arm.
"Don't do it sunshine. It could end badly for you." Sirius whispered to me.
"I'll take my chances." I smirked and whispered back.
"Don't tempt me, sweetheart."
"I think we both know that I wear the pants in this relationship." I groaned as I felt more weight on top of me. "MOONY! I thought we were best friends!"
"Sorry, Vix." Remus laughed.
"No you're not."
"That's right, I'm not." Remus laughed and I felt even more weight on me. "Oh good, Wormtail's here."
"Guys, my glasses are going to break. I suggest you get off me before I have glass shards in my eyes!" I tried to get up but I couldn't. "And my rib cage is getting crushed even more by the second. GET OFF ME"
"Make us!" The boys yelled in unison.
"If I could reach my wand, then I fucking would!" I yelled back.
"I'm getting off. Jade's boots are hurting my leg." Sirius said and pushed the boys off him. "Why do you wear those boots instead of the normal shoes?"
"The same reason you wear leather jackets during the summer." I said and sat up taking a deep breath.
"The aesthetic?" Sirius smirked and helped me up.
"The aesthetic." I smirked back.
"What the hell is the aesthetic!?" Remus yelled.
"Nobody will know, only us." Sirius said.
"I'm confused about the aesthetic myself, but I just go with it." I shrugged and hugged Sirius.
"I want to be a part of the aesthetic." James mumbled.
"Shut up, James. You'll never be part of the aesthetic." Sirius messed up James' hair. "Besides, you're hair's a mess. Your father invented an amazing hair potion and yet you look like that. Jade's hair is better and always smells like vanilla and lavender."
"How the hell do you know that?" Peter asked.
"Because I got her the shampoo she uses, dum-dum. She does the same with my cologne." Sirius shrugged.
"And the leather jacket for your birthday last year." I butted in.
"That too. Now can we go to bed? I'm tired." Sirius whined.
"Fine. We'll pack tomorrow." James yawned. "And my hair's amazing."
"No it's not, Bam Bam. Stop pretending." I smirked.
"Whatever let's just go to sleep. I'm dog tired." James rolled his eyes.
"Don't steal my puns, James. You're looking like a deer in the headlights." Sirius said and I facepalmed.
"Bed? Sleep? Tired? Ring any damn bells?" I hit both boys.
"Stop with the foxy attitude, Vixen." Remus smirked.
"I'm in for a long ass night full of bad puns, aren't I?" I groaned.
"Yep." The boys said in unison.
"Merlin, help me."
