Lily finds out

"Bam Bam, you okay?"

"Nope." James said not moving his gaze from the floor. I sighed and sat down next to him.

"Tell your little sister what's going on." James shook his head.

"I can't tell you. I promised I wouldn't." James mumbled.

"Is it about the Head Boy and Girl dance?" James looked at me so fast that I'm surprised his neck is still attached to his body. "Lily told me last night."

"THE WHAT!? I CAN'T DANCE, DIDI." James stood up and started to pace.

"Prongs, we've been dancing ever since we were four years old. Dad taught us, remember?"

"He taught Daddy's little Princess but not the Prince." James gestured to himself and I laughed. "Mum tried to teach me but I stepped on her toes way too many times to count."

"How about I teach you? The Yule Ball starts with a traditional dance and Slughorn gave us the lesson last week and it's pretty easy." I shrugged.

"Minnie also gave us the lesson last week and Dorcas still hates me for stepping on her toes. I'm going to make a fool of myself, aren't I?" James slumped and threw himself on the floor.

"No you're not because I'm not letting you. We'll practice every single night until the Ball, okay?"

"But where? There's no way I'm dancing in front of the boys." James rolled his eyes.

"Ever heard about the room of requirement?" I smirked.

"The what?"

"There's a room in the seventh floor that is hidden to everybody. You stand in the corner and think about your biggest desire or your needs and the room transforms into that. Reg and I found it two years ago and we used it at night to escape the dungeons and talk for a while." I shrugged. "Not a lot of people know about it, so we should be good."

"Can we go now? I have to see this room for myself." I nodded and grabbed James' hand and we left towards the room of requirement.

...

"Welcome to the room of requirement, or in this case, a dance hall." I smiled at James who looked shocked.

"After this, we have to show the boys this place." James said looking around.

"We sure do. Same with the girls. They would love this place." I shrugged and grabbed James' hand. "We didn't come here to talk about my boys. We're here so you can dance so you can sweep Lily off her feet at the Ball. Now, first I'll lead and then you. How's that?"

"You do you, Didi. Thanks for doing this." James smiled and kissed my forehead.

"Anything for you, Bam Bam."

...

"My feet hurt." James whined as we were walking to the common room.

"Quit whining. Now, watch this. Padfoot and Moony have developed a new habit and I want to show you." James said the password and we entered the common room. Once we entered we saw Lily sitting in a corner reading. "Hey, Lils. Watch this."

"Watch what?" James and Lily said in unison and looked at each other. I looked at them in shock but said nothing.

"Where are my boys?"

"Here!" The boys, including James, yelled. I looked at James confused and he shrugged.

"Force of habit." I nodded still confused and walked towards the sofa where Remus and Sirius were sitting doing their homework.

I moved to sit in between them and pointed at my cheeks. The two of them kissed them and continued as if nothing happen while James and Lily looked at us.

"See? They're my two favorite boys." I smiled.

"We've accepted the position and there is no going back now." Remus stated not looking up from his book.

"I'm still confused." Lily chuckled and sat down on the sofa and James moved to sit next to her. "What did I miss?"

"Should you explain or should I, love?" Sirius asked and put an arm around me.

"Basically, all of them are my boys. Padfoot is the troublemaker and the badass, Prongs is the other troublemaker and the baby, Moony is the voice of reason, and Wormtail is the child who we must protect at all cost and we must never leave him alone with the troublemakers because they will corrupt him and we can't have another troublemaker in this family."

"And you?" Lily asked.

"She's the mother, the badass, the troublemaker and the queen of the Marauders." James said and the boys nodded in agreement. "Basically, we're her boys and she's our girl. Nobody messes with us and she won't bite. Nobody messes with her and we won't bite, even though she's the one who bites first."

"All bark and all bite." Peter shrugged. "But we love her for it."

"So we have Moony, Prongs, Wormtail and Padfoot. But why those names? And what's yours, Jade?" Lily asked still confused.

"Depends on who you ask. She's my Didi, Pads' sunshine, Wormy's Vix, and Moony's little Vixen. Her Marauder name is Vixen because that's her patronus and animagus, a black fox." James said. "And yes, we're all animagi and I would be eternally grateful if you don't say shit." Lily crossed her heart promising and we all sighed in relief.

"Well now I understand Jade, but what about you four?"

"Our animagus and/or our patronus. Padfoot's a dog, Wormtail's a rat, Moony we all know, and Prongs is a damn stag out of all things. Same with the patronus. Sirius' a dog, Remus' a wolf because he's the walking coincidence, and James is a stag. We're working with Peter so he can cast a patronus." I shrugged. "Mine's a Vixen and I'm not telling the story as to why."

"Tell her." Remus nudged my side. "You know you want to."

"I would like to hear this myself." James smirked.

"Fine! There's a constellation named Vulpecula-"

"My favorite constellation, by the way." Sirius butted in.

"I was just getting to that, dammit. Basically the constellation means 'fox holding a goose'. Well, I was feeling upset about things we shouldn't mention and Moony told me to think about Sirius since he made me happy and whatever. So when I did, I casted my patronus and it turned out to be a fox. Ta-da." I waved my hands sarcastically. "That's the story and I'm not saying anymore details. That's for me, Moony and Pads to know and for you to speculate."

"Wait, Moony knows?" Sirius asked and I nodded. "That would explain why he gave me glares after you casted the patronus."

"Yes, and now you're realizing it. If you were more stupid, you'd be going backwards." Remus rolled his eyes. "You're just lucky I didn't beat your ass since it was that time of the month."

Sirius stood up and got in Remus' face.

"Maybe we should have one right now. Come on Moony, you and me." Sirius put up his fists and James sighed standing up and tackling him to the floor.

"I'm surrounded by idiots, I swear." I mumbled.

"Is there any more bonding the moments between the two that I have yet to find out?" James smirked at us and I nodded.

"Yep. Watch this." I moved my hands so that my palms were facing up and Sirius and Remus immediately rested their chins on it smiling. "Ta-da!"

"Should I even ask?" Lily laughed at us.

"You'd be surprised how often this happens. And that's not even the best part. If Vix is sleepy or is at that time of the month, all hell breaks loose. Merlin forbid she's sleepy and is menstruating." Peter shrugged.

"What happens?" Lily asked curiously.

"Moony and her get into a chocolate coma, Prongs isn't allowed to yell because she grows violent, Wormy keeps his distance since the first three days since Vixen is snapping at everybody left and right, crying or just singing ABBA." Sirius said.

"Lately I've been getting more violent while singing QUEEN so that cancels out ABBA while I'm chocolate drunk." I shrugged.

"What about you Sirius?" Lily raised an eyebrow and I bursted out laughing along with Remus, James and Peter.

"He fears for his life, Lily. He still hasn't gotten over the fact that one day Jade screamed bloody murder while holding her abdomen before a Potions exam." Remus laughed.

"We don't speak of that scream. It still haunts me." Sirius mumbled and I rolled my eyes.

"Like I said, I'm surrounded by idiots."

...

"So what are you doing after the Ball, Jade?" Lily asked once we left the library from a late night study session.

"I don't know. I mean, it'll be Christmas Day and it's a full moon so I'll be with the boys that night." I shrugged. "I'll probably spend the day making sure that Moony is well rested before that night."

"I haven't seen him with any new scars so that's good." Lily smiled.

"Bam Bam and Pads make sure he doesn't hurt himself while Wormy and I try to distracting him whenever he starts clawing at his skin. The transformation is the worst though. It's been two years and I still haven't mustered up the courage to watch it. I usually hide behind James while Sirius makes sure that my face is covered." I said sadly. "He doesn't deserve it, Lils."

"I know, Jade. I cried about when he told me. But on the bright side, he's not alone anymore." Lily put an arm around me.

"He never was and he never will be. He'll always have one of us to care for him. I think that's why all five of us are so close, we've always had each other as our rock. When everybody turned their backs on us, we could always count on each other." I smiled.

"You really care for them, huh?"

"Those are my boys. I'd die for them and they'd do the same for me." I said. Lily smiled also and said the password and we entered the common room.

"I'm gonna go to bed. I'll see you at breakfast, Jade." Lily yawned and walked up to the girls dorms. I said goodbye and walked towards the sofa and saw my boys sleeping peacefully, except for Sirius who was struggling to stay awake. I smiled and took a photo.

"We stayed up waiting for you, but these three fell asleep." Sirius yawned. "I did too but woke up when I heard your beautiful voice."

"Such a charmer." I kissed his forehead and sat across from him. "How did this happen?"

"We we're just talking and one by one they fell asleep. Prongs was the first one, followed by Moony and then Wormtail."

"You look exhausted." I yawned.

"So do you. Those bags aren't aesthetically pleasing." Sirius smirked.

"Neither are yours but I'm not complaining. Now, how about we wake them up and take the boys to bed. They look tired."

I crouched in front of James and shook him softly.

"Bam Bam, wake up. Time for bed." James woke up and rubbed his eyes. "Hi there Prongsy."

James sat up and I moved towards Remus.

"Moony, time for bed. I'm back." I smiled and shook him awake.

"Hey, Little Vixen." Remus yawned and I started to wake up Peter.

"Wormy, wake up. It's time for bed." I shook him softly stifling a yawn.

"Hi, Vix." The three boys stood up and went to bed leaving me and Sirius alone.

"You're a literal mother, sunshine." Sirius smiled and pulled me towards his lap.

"You all are my boys. If I don't take care of you boys, who will?" I smiled and laid my head on his chest.

"And yet you never let us take care of you." Sirius kissed my forehead and sighed happily making me smile.

"Because I prefer taking care of you boys and making sure you don't drive Minnie to the brink of insanity like you all do to me."

"Name one time." Sirius said.

"I could name every single waking moment since the day I laid eyes on you and it still wouldn't be enough." I rolled my eyes and played with his hair. "I love you, you know that right?"

"I love you more, my sunshine. Now how about we go to bed? You look woozy again." Sirius picked me up and took me to the dorms. When we entered, we saw the boys fast asleep and I smiled.

Sirius gave me one of his hoodies as pajamas and I put it on and immediately jumped on the bed with Sirius smiling and laid down next to me.

"Sing to me?" I asked and cuddled closer to him. Sirius chuckled a bit but nodded.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away." Sirius kissed my forehead as I felt myself drift in and out of consciousness. "Good night, my sunshine. Sleep well. I love you."

"I love you, Padfoot."
